Stayed at the Hotel (Aloft) For a night for a 49er game and the bar tender was awesome. Someone called out so he not only made all the drinks for everyone by himself, (it was a busy night) but made all the food for everyone as well. Beast Mode!!! Every Time I come to Go to a 49er/​Sharks game I’m staying here!!!

One of our favorite places to stop by after work. Sassy hour is super awesome. With a slightly trendy but quiet atmosphere, their happy hour is friendly for everyone getting off work at the regular hours (up to 7pm). Rotating beers are $ 5 each (with pitcher at $ 20 option now), and a couple of wines at $ 6 each. Sometimes they have spirit specials, like last time we got Jameson for $ 5 on the rocks. Super good deal! For all those with a corporate passport card, you can get dinner here too for buy one get one free entreés. Does it get better? Yeah, there’s a pool table in there.
Tip — if you just want something to snack on, ask for the pretzels/​snacks.
We like their amber ale and the new 405 on draft :)

What made this review earn 5 stars was mostly due to the bartender. Wish I got your name for this review, but what I can say now is that you made great conversation and had interesting stories to tell!
There is a hip theme going on with a «Sassy Hour», paper flower décor & lighted tables. The pool table adds a relaxed vibe to the area.
It was a place you can go after work and have a chill meet up with a friend without having to yell over the music. Awesome vibes with a good drink menu to select from.
Definitely wanna come back and try the food and utilize the pool table next time!

Ambiance changes depending on what’s going on that night. Some nights can be dead; the afternoon we went, there were lots of tourists and a live band — maybe a large family reunion or wedding in town? If it’s busy, it can get loud and rowdy.
Food and their signature drinks were below-​average and underwhelming. However staff were nice/​accommodating; service was great.

Delicious food. Had the chicken panini (w/​apple and brie) and red velvet cake. Nice ambiance. Great music. Service could improve.

I love the cute, hip ambience of this bar! The drinks are a little spendy though, but I would definitely come back every once in a while for the atmosphere.

Severely underimpressed, for a number of reasons. The fact that it was a friday night and was so empty was the first thing. It wouldnt have been so noticable if this place wasnt set up to be a night club. The LED lights on the bar are cringe worthy. This place makes cupertinos attempt to be «cool» — officially so uncool.
Two stars for the bartender for being really cool & the fact that i had a stupid fun time here with some friends.
Maybe if they changed up the vibe & marketed to a younger crowd with some sort of nightly special it could be better.

The WXYZ Bar is located inside the Aloft Cupertino Hotel.
It’s a hip, groovy little bar. The bar counter top has LED lights that are glowing and changing colors continuously.
I ordered a dirty vodka martini — with Absolut vodka (they don’t carry Tito’s, Ketel One, or Grey Goose) and three olives. It was a reasonably good martini — although I like mine a bit colder. I guess I should specify that next time!
There is also one pool table in the bar — which was in use by four guys, so I did not get a chance to play…

Girlfriends happy hour, what a chic place to chill, chat and chew some nice appetizers while checking the meetup group ¨Young Asians networking in the Bay Area¨ (or similar:). We were having such a chill time in those sofas with the cutest pillows out there, that some other people that initially went there to join their meetup ended up sitting with us and sharing laughs and stories. I find the W XYZ bar and lounge to be a very nice gathering place, unpretentious yet very modern. You can always play pool and enjoy the patio if the weather permits.

1^st Experience is the most important thing, no matter what it is.
It also depends on the mood you’re in and what you’re expecting and looking for that night.
Came here Tuesday night when it was pouring. Just wanted to chill & drink with the boys.

A cool Place to chill and also if you wanna have a mellow night.
FRIDAYS — they have a dj spinning.
And a good spot for get together & events.
I’m didn’t get to try the food yet but the drinks were good.

Been enjoying this bar, been here quite a few times. The employees at the bar are really nice people and always laughing. Have been here for a few event nights, lots of fun: D

The company I currently work at had a farewell event the W XYZ Bar for one of our executives a few months ago. The first thing I noticed about this establishment was that it had a pretty hip atmosphere; it goes perfectly with the high-​tech culture of the nearby Cupertino City Center. The bar has a large interior, which makes it a great place for corporate events. There aren’t many places to sit indoors, although there is no shortage of outdoor seating.
The W XYZ Bar mainly serves drinks, but it also has a catering service. Speaking of which, the food is delicious. One thing that many other caterers do wrong is that they focus on quantity rather than quantity — in other words, they would make a lot of food that may be overcooked or lacking in taste otherwise. This wasn’t the case for the W XYZ Bar as everything we ordered was really good, especially the cheese quesadillas. The drinks are somewhat expensive, but this isn’t unexpected for an upscale place like this.
Another thing to note is that the staff are really friendly and accommodating. Case in point: our company only had the place reserved until 5:00 p.m. Some of my co-​workers were having such a great time that they stayed for over an extra hour, yet nobody kicked us out even though an event for another company was supposed to begin at 6:00 p.m. But then again, the W XYZ Bar has a pretty large interior, so the space probably wasn’t an issue.
Overall, I really liked this place. I don’t drink that often, but I think the W XYZ Bar is definitely a great place to hang out after work hours.

I have been here twice. The first time was great, but this past Friday was horrible. We ordered the humus and pita bread, chipotle chicken wings, and the kettle chips. My main complaint is that the bar/​eating area was not busy and this is what we experienced with our food:
–pita bread– was burned on all edges, we sent it back
— chipotle chicken– over-​cooked
–kettle chips– our default order– too salty/​the restaurant was out of potatoes, including sweet potato!
The waitress was nice, but needs training ASAP!
Don’t waste your time unless you are willing to put up with lousy food and service.

I wanted to give you all a proper review because reading all the reviews and browsing photos, I wasn’t really sure what this bar was exactly.
WXYZ Bar is the Aloft hotel bar located on the ground floor and acts as a lounge for guests. When the bar area is closed, the lounge is still open for seating. When you walk into Aloft and you’re trying to figure out where to go… just go straight and slightly to the right. This might just be the first and only «upscale bar» in Cupertino.
I sat down and the bartender greeted me and asked if I needed to see a menu. As an alcoholic drinking alone on a Sunday night, I said a drink menu would be fine. I glanced through the menu and saw their specialty cocktails, beers and wines. Their cocktails didn’t sound super amazing, and I wasn’t really dying to try any of them. The beer selection is actually quite diverse and impressive. I have no comment about the wine selection.
Cucumber Collins — $ 12 — I’m a Tom Collins /​Gin and Tonic kinda guy, so I decided to try the first thing on their menu, the Cucumber Collins. People might complain about the price of this drink, but realize, they do 1.5oz of Hendricks, and if you get a drink with Hendricks at most bars, you’re paying at minimum $ 8-​$ 10. You’re paying a slight mark up here for it being at a hotel. This drink was a bit sweet at first, but eventually balanced off. I’m not sure what happened. I stirred before I drank and it was too sweet on the bottom. Additionally, the metal straw provided was not great. It was okay at the beginning, but chunks of the meddled cucumber kept getting stuck in the straw. I was eventually given a regular straw.
Bombay Sapphire, Soda, Fresh Lemon Juice, topped with bitters — $ 8.50 — This drink was decent. It was missing a dryness off the end though. This drink isn’t on the menu, but after talking with the bartender, she recommended this drink.
Overall the drinks were just okay. I wasn’t particularly impressed nor disappointed with the drinks. I think the prices here are reasonable given that they use top shelf alcohols (no well drinks) + a slight market up for being the hotel bar.
The server was very very sweet. It was a slow night as I was the only customer from 10ish-12(close). We talked and chit chatted.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
== The bar top has «holes» in it to allow for the coloured LED lights to shine through. The lights are constantly moving and changing colours and cannot be turned off nor set to not move. Every time I did something where my head /​face was over the bar, I got really really dizzy, even before alcohol was in my system. This actually prevented me from drinking more. I felt like I didn’t need to even order my first drink because these lights were making me feel motion sickness.
== 4G/​3G data was very very bad. I had issues checking in, and using my phone and loading google. WIFI is free only if you’ve rented a room.
== the seating at the other tables are actually semi-​well lit and not dark. Thus you could technically come here to do some reading, or studying. The non-​bar area acts well as a regular day lounge, even at night. This is a pretty well lit bar.
== There is an outdoor area that I’d like to check out sometime. It’s currently too cold in Cupertino.
== Pool table is free an located in the back. (you’ll see it).
== I’m sure the music selection changes throughout the week, but on Sunday it was fairly mellow, and not loud at all.
== I was provided complimentary nuts, which was a combo of peanuts, and other little cracker things. It was heavily seasoned… but I would have preferred something bland like salted peanuts.
== Kitchen closes at 10pm
== 4 TVs showing sports
OTHER NOTES
== I can’t comment on parking. They do have a garage, but I just did street parking.
== The wall behind the shelves of alcohol is lit, but the shelves themselves were not lit. Thus, it’s pretty difficult to read what brand of alcohols they have if you’re not familiar with the shape of the bottles… might only be a problem for a picky alcoholic though.
The bartender has worked there for a while now, and mentioned that they were not allowed to try drinks on the job, so they don’t actually know what most of the drinks taste like. I really hope with the new bar manager, the bartender will be required to try all their drinks as to make proper recommendations.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
The bartender was super sweet and friendly. She provided great service (take this with a grain of salt because I was the only customer). The drinks were okay, and fairly priced if you want specialty cocktails with top shelf alcohol. The table seating is well lit if that’s what you’re looking for. The music was quiet enough to have a conversation, so this would be a good place to just talk and catch up with a friend.
My experience here was okay. I honestly have no recommendation to try or not try this place though.

Who would have known that my talents resided in a couple of balls and a stick? Pool stick that is. Literally new found love. We troll here often due to the fact that this place is rarely busy, they have good beer on tap, and the pool table is free.
However, Every. Single. Drink. I have had has been awful. Stick to the things your know, or beer– don’t be adventurous at this bar.

Came here on a Wednesday night to celebrate with my friends. It was basically empty except for two other groups, but I guess you can’t expect much at Cupertino on a weekday.
The bartender was very sweet and helpful, the drinks were good and three drinks got my friend pretty happy :)
I just did street parking right next to the hotel, but maybe they have a garage? Not sure I would call and ask.
Drinks are a little pricey average $ 10, but the atmosphere is very modern and «cool» looking. There’s plenty of space and a nice setting to sit and really catch up with people, and they have etch-​a-​sketches!

Ambiance: Too well lit. Sorry, but this place didn’t really impress me. A bar should not be as well lit as the lobby… The bar itself, with the subsurface lighting, and the backlit bar, are nice and enjoyable… but the décor itself seemed to be mismatched. Modern furniture mixed with psychedelic-​seeming lighting on the patio, combined with some rather odd couch choices, and the misplaced pool table… it just doesn’t work. Then you have the DJ on a Friday night that’s obscenely loud as he used a fold out table in the smack-​dab middle of the bar… :(
Service: The bartenders are nice, but they need to get their stuff together. My lady friend: Can I have a lemon drop, please? Bartender: Sure… can you tell me what’s in it? Point made.
Food: Here’s where you win me back. We enjoyed a few things off of the menu and they were all delicious.

Last I went to WXYZ was for a «very Unilocaly holiday party.» When I saw that one had opened up in cupertino, I wanted to check it out. The service was excellent. I got the tri-​tip sandwich and the sangria. The sangria was ok. The tri-​tip had an overwhelming amount of horseradish. It burned my nose! Definitely cleared my sinuses. Then my eyes started to water, and my friend asked if I was going to cry. Plus price performance is no bueno. sigh*

Awesome new spot in Cupertino inside the brand new ALoft Hotel! Try it out!
