Summer camp review. My daughter did several weeks of summer camp. The facility is nice and clean. The staff very helpful and curriculum is very diverse and worked really well for my daughter. The camp had communication academy classes couple of times a week, swimming, playtime, art, yoga. This is in addition to regular academics. My daughter performs much better in smaller teacher: student ratio and the camp offered that for her. This was camps first year and I think the staff is still learning what works best for the kids. But they are very responsive and willing to work with parents.

So this review is for the summer camp that’s held at their community hall. My 7 year old son have been attending it from the time the summer holidays started and goes for a full time program. The reason why I chose this place over few other places A) it was run by a mom just like me Hemica … She has her 2 sons in the same camp. So I knew she would run it pretty well and I was right . B) They had a good balance between play and study morning kids would be doing academics and evening there is a mix of stuff like yoga, art, public speaking etc. C)Timing and flexibility unlike other places that has very strict timing about the pick up. This place has till 6:30 and she waits even if it’s around 6:45 without any charge which I found very unique . And again hemica will give the daily reports and briefs what the kid did that particular day . Overall a nice summer camp for my son he enjoys it !!!

We sent our son for summer camp at Rancho Rinconada Rex center for the entire summer. The facility is well maintained and the staff is polite and professional. The summer camp is run by Hemica and the camp is geared totally towards elementary school students. The morning portion is structured with academics prep for next grade(4th grade in our case) and afternoon portion is basketball, swim, ping pong, free reading. Our son was very happy at the camp, he learned a lot and played at the same time. Hemica pays attention to each student’s performance and keeps in touch with parents so the child can grow and progress. Additionally, they had public speaking where the teachers helped my son overcome his fear of public speaking. I would recommend the camp and the facility to any parent, any day! Kids were safe happy, studied a lot and had a blast! My son loved the swimming. Additionally Hemica is very loving, attentive, pays individual attention and make plans for the kids and dedicated to the kids. Of all, summer camp is affordable n open till 6:30. Kudos to Hemica and the team for running such an excellent summer camp.

The location was very was very nice. I just got sold on the size of the pool. Also lots of open are for kids to play. Hemica’s summer camp was fun too. She has teamed with Communications Center, Arts Teacher from Sedgwick School, there was chess, music and swimming with lots of funtime. Caretakers were very loving. My kids loved the camp.

Came here for family swim time. I brought my older kids who are 20 and 17 and then my 3 year old son. The older kids enjoyed their time but changed when they noticed the pool isn’t as chlorine-y as the others(which to me, ensures that the pool is clean when it is chlorine-y), instead, it was salty like ocean water. My son loved it so much but I guess he swallowed too much of the salt water that he threw up 4x the same evening. The older kids developed a filmy like coat in their eyes. Suffice it to say, even though we had a good time – the pool isn’t clean. We will not go back here again for the fear of a repeat of what we went through after swimming here.

Excellent neighborhood facility, combined with a fantastic and very enriching summer camp. My 10-yr. old loved the diversity and the wonderful balance between fun and academics, that the summer camp offered. The summer camp is run by Ms. Hemica and her team. She went to great lengths to give us constant feedback on progress and concerns. Not a day went by without a pleasant video post from Hemica, on my son, giving a talk(demonstrating speech/public speking techniques) or doing some other fun stuff(cup trick and the like). In addition, the pool time and the swim classes were like an icing on the cake for both my son and us(One stop shop — we loved it too :-)).

We attended the afternoon portion of summer camp. The facility is nice and my son gets to have pool time. In the afternoon, it is more play than academics, but there was art, music, and yoga.

I want give zero star if I can. I took my two children joined summer swimming class first section. And they knew how to swim before. After finished all classes they don’t have too much better. Ok then I let them took one more section. But first day of third section my daughter had menses. She can’t took classes two days. I talked to the manager. But she said can’t give two days classes back or credit refund. What the fu.k. I don’t think she is a girl! She doesn’t understand girls have this problem! I won’t take kids come back.

The young instructors at this neighborhood pool hidden away at the corner of Bollinger and Lawrence really do a fantastic job of connecting with the kids and make learning to swim fun. My 5 year old is on his second session(each session is 4 days a week, 30 minutes per) and loves coming to the pool! He’s now freestyling his arms and kicking his legs all on his own — if you have a young child wanting to learn to swim, I highly recommend Alexa — she’s awesome and also allows for a bit of play at the end of each swim.

$ 4 for each swimmer during open swim times. A large swim area for little kids. $ 1 for ice cream, chips, water or soda. Very reasonable. Designated 15 mins per hour for break to get the kids(and parents) some rest and rehydration.

A nice neighborhood pool in a clean and safe area. The pool is simple with no diving boards or slides. Staff is usually really nice and helpful. Best part of all is that kids under 4 years old swim for free(with a parent/adult). It seems like most other pools in the area charge full price even for babies during open swim times. Also there is a nice little shaded playground right next to the pool for kids to play on which is open all the time. *Note: My review is just for the open swim times, I have no experience with the lessons offered here

Terrible place to sign your kids up for lessons. They are completely unorganised here. We arrive and either the teacher hasn’t arrived or there is total confusion because they overbook., and this is every single week. They end up starting late and finishing early. At $ 20 a lesson(30 minutes) it’s definitely not worth it.

They have private swimming lessons during the summer. $ 150 for 2 weeks, each week Mon — Thurs only, 25 mins each lesson. I heard that people line up since 7 am on the 1st day of registration, so I thought this must be a very good swim school. I was disappointed. I think if you are reviewing one technique, this swim school might work for you. However, if you are learning from scratch, I am not sure that it is worth the price.
