Mary was my hair stylist for about 2 years, and she is ABSOLUTELY amazing! I am so bummed that I moved out of state and can no longer get my hair done by her. She honestly gave me my all time favorite haircuts and colors, and she was always receptive to my crazy changes. I loved coming into the salon and catching up with her; she was always very welcoming and a great listener.
Mary also did my hair for my wedding, and it was perfect. It was exactly what I wanted, and it stayed perfectly in place all evening. She can honestly do it all!

Brianne cut my hair a few weeks ago and I wanted to wait until I’d styled it myself a bunch to see if I still loved my haircut. Yes! Finally! A hairstylist in Cupertino, at a classy salon, who can cut my hair! Sola Salons are divided up little studio salons run by owners and the space is nice and clean and comfortable.
Brianne was great and this is the best haircut I’ve had in years. It was really easy to style on my own and even looks good air dried.

Im fairly new to the Bay Area and after two lousy experiences at other salons (bad stylists and one being way over priced), a friend had suggested Mary at Parlour 17. I absolutely love my hair cut and color. The price for services was exactly what I was anticipating. The salon is easy to navigate; no issues with parking. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. Parlour 17 has a new permanent client! Thanks again! :)

I was there for hair extensions and I made an appointment with Mary, I really liked my extensions, after that I returned for a haircut and I felt a little bit uncomfortable, I think maybe she didn’t like me because she barely talked to me and well…
I wanted something specific for my haircut and she didn’t want to do it because of my kind of hair and whatever but they have done my hair like that before so I know that is possible, at the end the cut wasn’t that bad and I liked it but it wasn’t what I wanted.
I decided to give it another try because I thought that maybe I wasn’t clear in what I wanted and I went back again for a haircut, but it was the same results and that time I was barely satisfied with my haircut, my mistake was that I didn’t say anything at the very moment, now I really hate the way my hair is and I am again looking for a friendly place to get my haircuts. Another good point is that I knew about Davines products here and I love them, these products save my hair.

Being new to the area I called in regarding a color and cut as my hair is long overdue. I was told there were no appointments for two weeks, which is fine I am used to busy salons. Whoever answered didn’t offer me a further out appointment or seemed interested in me as a new potential client and hung up. It came off a bit rude and aloof. One star for the poor customer service experience over the phone.

First time here and I loved it. Brianne cut my hair and she did a great job! She was very friendly and initiated small talk. I also love that prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be back.

Brianne is the Best! She gave me a great long layers hair cut and kept my length just as I asked! She also did my moms unruly hair and gave her an amazing and precise bob haircut!!! I would trust her with all my hair needs!

Got a long a-​line bob from Brianne and I love love LOOOVE it. She is very talented and detail-​oriented. Everything about my haircut, from the length, to the all-​around shape is just the way I wanted it. I’ve really noticed the difference from the way Brianne has been able to shape my hair and bring it to life. She is patient and really listens to your requests and concerns. You can’t go wrong with Brianne.

Brianne is amazing! I wanted to bring some life into my overgrown do, so I showed her a picture of what I was looking for. She meticulously asked a few questions to make sure she understood what I wanted, and also made a point to work with my facial structure. She was a joy to chat with the whole time, and the end result was exactly what I pictured! Quick and painless trip; will come back again.

This is a review for the hair dresser Brielle.
I was in need of a last-​minute haircut and searched my trusty go-​to website Unilocal for some suggestions. After looking at different places & their reviews, I settled on Parlour 17. I was able to book an appointment last minute online which was very convenient. Plus this salon has basically 5 star reviews raving about how experienced/​nice the hairdressers are and so I was looking forward to trying this place out.
I got to be honest, with all the positive reviews I was expecting something different than the service I received. The hair cut turned out pretty nice and Brielle definitely knew what she was doing. She clearly has a lot of experience with hair cuts and did a great job. I took 2 stars off because of the service.
As I was getting my haircut, I felt as if I was back in high school (not a good experience). The salon is very small and only Brielle and Mary work there. Seriously, the ²⁄₃ of the time they were chatting about their own lives and it felt as if I was invincible. I mean, when you have clients it’s important to make them feel comfortable right? Well, that’s not how I felt today. Brielle only talked to me 1) When I was getting my hair shampooed and I initiated small talk and 2) When she asked how I wanted my hair cut. That’s it. It was if the two were having lunch and chatting about their weekend. Not professional at all.
As much as I love a good haircut, I also love having a hair dresser who is friendly and who does not ignore you while you get your hair cut. So if you are looking for last-​minute-​I-​need-​a-​haircut-​right-​now-​or-​else then yes, I would recommend this place as the end results are good BUT not for the long run as t’s not a feel-​good kind of place.

I am a very, very picky person, when it comes to my hair. My niece did my hair for years. She recommended Mary. She has incredible talent for her work! Her prices are affordable. I have been going to Mary now, about a year. I will recommend her to anyone. My hair is not the easiest to work with, yet she does awesome highlights & hair-​cuts for me. She truly listens to what you want done. Just a few days ago when she did my hair, she was patiently showing me how I can do this at home… She is awesome! Thank you Mary for always doing such great work.

I hate getting haircuts because I usually walk out with something horrible that needs fixing. I decided to try Parlour 17 due to the high ratings, and I am glad I did… this is honestly the first GOOD haircut I’ve ever gotten.
Brianne did a wonderful job of fixing my impossible hair, it was very uneven and messy due to the previous cut I had from another salon. If I were her, I would have given up on my hair… it was so uneven and thin in some spots. She knew what she was doing, and surprisingly I left the place with very shiny, soft hair. Haircuts are very simple, you aren’t really going to walk out as if there was a huge transformation but she managed to do that. I’ve been struggling to repair my hair from previous dyes, and now that the dead ends are gone, and there’s shine in my hair I feel a lot better.
For anyone who’s looking to grow your hair out fast, or to bring health back into it I would recommend using whatever product they’ve used. I am loving their shampoo and conditioner and if it’s for sale I will definitely pick some up.
Side note: I am also using Biotin and fish oil supplements to enhance my hair and grow it faster, it works very well. (within a week the dullness was gone, and I had more of a natural shine)
I would definitely go back, and recommend this salon. The only thing is that it’s a bit hard to find. They are actually located inside Sola Salon, which is a place full of studios for hairstylists to do their business. I feel like these girls know what they are doing, and I would trust them in the future for any hair color, treatments or cuts.

Mary cut and colored my hair. I wanted an ombré style and she did what I imagined. They are friendly, talented and you can schedule appointments online, which is so nice.
The salon is a bit hard to find. It’s not label as parlor 17 on the building, rather sola salon. But once I found it, I was happy with the service.

So I did my research before picking a salon, I had my lady who has been cutting my hair for over 10 years who is retiring so I needed to find a new place. I called and got in the same day which was Great since i am kind of a spurr of the moment girl :) My stylist was Brianne and she was awesome! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and as others have said in the reviews she will give you her insight into what looks good and what does not (and that its greatly appreciated, so im not walking out looking funky). Brianne recommended an a line bob for me since my hair is thin which at the end I completely loved. I can go on about my experience here but the the high stars speak for themselves :)

I’m so happy Brianne and Mary decided to open Parlour 17 basically across from my work. It’s so hard for me to find time for a haircut, but their location is Cupertino is great!
Love the salon’s décor and they play fun music– so I can sit back, relax, and let Brianne do her thing! She is an amazing stylist. I love that I can show her a picture of what I want and she can deliver it every time. I also love that she is honest and makes suggestions if she doesn’t think something will look right. She has been doing hair awhile and it shows!
The girls always offer me something to drink and I feel very comfortable there. I always leave feeling satisfied and confident with my fresh hair!

I’ve been following Mary for years now and I am very excited for her new business venture in becoming a salon owner. She has extensive experience in both cut & color. She’s worked at many high-​end salons.
Her service is great and her goal is for you to leave happy :)
I had a huge transformation done recently and I was very nervous. I had VERY long hair… and decided to chop it all off to get a long bob style (pictures attached). She made me feel at ease and I left without feeling one bit guilty or regretful. She did a few consults with me prior to my actual appointment (tossed around ideas) which made me feel even more comfortable & ready for the big change.
On a side note, I love the looks my husband gives me with my new cut… I never expected him to like it since he loved my long hair. I’ve definitely received many positive compliments, by God’s leave. God bless your talent, Mary!
