While the Kobe steak phở is different, I probably wouldn’t shell out those kinds of bucks for a bowl of phở. Phở is phở! It’s meant to be street style and served in a hole in the wall restaurant, not fancied up with kobe beef! I appreciate their take on phở and crafting in kobe into the mix, but in my opinion it’s nothing different than a regular bowl of phở. I think phở should never be over $ 10, but this is a good one time experience and splurge.(~$ 15 a bowl) I found the broth to be a little fattier than I’m used to, most likely due to the fatty marbling of the meat. It’s was pretty good but not mind blowingly good phở. I would pay this place a return visit but I think I’ll stick to the traditional style phở. While the kobe meat is good and slightly more buttery than regular steak, I almost prefer the lean traditional phở broths and meats. The service was good and they kept refilling our waters. A for effort!

The phở broth was light and no msg but overall the experience left something to be desired. I wouldn’t rate this place better than the other phở places in Cupertino.

Kobe is our favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the neighborhood. Delicious phở with no MSG, also like their lemon chicken and spring roll. the restaurant is extremely clean and comfortable with super friendly services. The place has plenty of parking and easy access within the Oaks plaza.

Recently this has been my #1 place to get phở. The broth is significantly more flavorful than most phở restaurants I’ve been to and the you get significantly more of everything in the bowl. The kobe really makes a difference in the soup cause it just gets so tender and melt in your mouth and brings more satisfaction our of phở. Plus this have these rolls that are so friggin’ good and their playlist is pretty upbeat also. Man, I wanna go back now.

First time there on Sunday, and it was an excellent experience. It’s located on the corner, inside the Oaks, near where they have the Sunday morning farmer’s market. They were unbelievably nice there! Pros: –Fast service –Clean environment –Loved the vegetarian phở! So many ingredients, tofu, faux meat, enoki mushrooms(yes!) –Chicken phở was really solid too, broth had less flavor than I’m accustomed, but probably the lack of MSG –No MSG! I have a strong reaction to that stuff, so nice I don’t have to deal with it −10÷10 on the vegetarian spring rolls. As normal, rice paper outside, but crunchy bits inside and light. Yes, they aren’t as filling and heavy as others, but the texture and flavor was off the charts good –Owner checked up on each table. She was super nice –Yes, it’s Vietnamese food, but had Japanese touches –Family environment, think it was a few of the owner’s family was working there –Had music playing, not much for hippity hop/dance stuff, but helped the atmosphere Cons: –Little pricey at 9 – 10 a bowl for the basic phở, but so is everything these days –Iced coffee had too much ice –Chicken phở broth was a little bland Overall, an excellent experience that I’ll easily be back again for some delicious phở and those spring rolls!

My new favorite phở place! I also love their bbq and egg roll vermicelli. Egg rolls are delicious! The broth has a very clean taste. It is not loaded up with random flavors or over done with salt or spices. Everything tasted very quality.

Not sure what to eat? Looking at this right now thinking, is this place good? Yes yes it is! I’m a meat guy but damn this place has a combo w pork shrimp and bowl was amazing. I’m sitting here thinking about how satisfied I am about the meal. Not heavy, not salty, just a refreshing bowl of some damn good grilled cuts of pork, shrimp, and egg Rolls!

I’ve been on a noodle kick recently(with ramen and beef noodle soup) and had to cross phở off the list. Since I was already nearby, I figured, why not try out the delicious sounding Kobe phở. I ordered the $ 12 kobe steak and brisket phở. Overall, the dish was ok. The broth could’ve used more depth of flavor and the noodles themselves could’ve been cooked a little longer. I’ll drive a little farther for better phở next time.

I was reealllyyyyy craving phở, and asked to go to a phở place as soon as I got off the plane. The one place that my mom and sister liked(Phở Wagon) had closed, so we found Kobe on Unilocal. They look like they are still in the process of moving in — which is expected for a relatively new restaurant. The décor is janky and the space looks repurposed, but it it spacious with tables for smaller parties as well as large groups. Prices are a little higher than I would have expected: a small bowl of phở is ~$ 9 and a large bowl is around $ 10. I got a large steak and brisket phở and shared an order of spring rolls with my mom. The broth is not as rich as I would have liked, and the noodles were a little undercooked, but I hadn’t had any phở in a while, so I ate it ALL. My mom as not fan though. She left more than half of her noodles uneaten and really didn’t want to take home the leftovers. The spring rolls were fresh and hit the spot, but nothing spectacular. I’m glad to see this phở place open in the Oaks Shopping Center so close to home, but I think there are quite a few better(and cheaper) options in the area!

Vietnamese and Japanese fusion. I am quite surprised by this combination, because I am a Japanese who really likes Vietnamese food. This is my 19th phở place I’ve tried and decided to give them 5 stars! I ordered Kobe steak Phở($ 12). It came quickly. It was a large bowl. Kobe steak was on the top. As Kobe wagyu standard, it was half red and thin. I once dip it inside the soup then tasted it. Great. Also the noodles and soup were tasty. The soup was hot enough(should be hot as a phở bowl). I was so hungry after hiking, so the large portion was a plus. My friend ordered Kobe Phở special. I wished each one could have a plate of bean sprout(we shared one plate). The service was friendly too. I will definitely come back.

Great food and quick service! Authentic food but NOMSG! :) Pleasantly surprised by the large portion sizes, what a steal! Lemongrass Pork Chop $ 9 — deeelicious! Just enough fatty meat + bone, paired with egg over rice. Combination Bun(vermicelli noodles) with shrimp, spring rolls, and pork $ 10.50 — probably the best dish of the night if I had to choose; the pork was tender, spring rolls were crunchy and shrimp were succulent Kobe Steak phở $ 12 — while I’m not super into phở, this has probably been one of the best bowls I’ve had in a while, the soup is light and the meat is cooked just right, not tough at all! The best part is, afterwards you’re not thirsting for water because it’s MSGFREE! My family and I will definitely be back! Everything was delicious and the staff were super nice and attentive!

A little on the pricey side at $ 13 for a bowl of phở but still decent. The broth was spot on, could’ve used more noodles for such a big bowl and I question the authenticity of their«kobe». Still the meat is tender with the perfect amount of fattiness to it. The spring rolls and egg rolls are pretty run of the mill good. My cousin got the combination fried rice which was nothing less than awesome. The service here was great and the atmosphere is comfy and clean. I just can’t get past the price of their Kobe Phở. If it’s gonna be double the price of everywhere else it better be twice as good, which unfortunately it just wasn’t.

Came by for dinner the other night and the experience left much to be desired. I think this place took over Phở-licious… Parking is plentiful in the private parking lot. Was able to be seated in the spacious and clean restaurant upon arrival. Started off with the Kobe Beef combination phở which was okay. Broth wasn’t super flavorful although the American Wagyu beef was tender and slightly fatty. Portion of meat was on the light side, while the noodles were generous… pricing was definitely on the high side at $ 13/bowl… Egg rolls also left much to be desired as the skin was rolled too many times and it came with a side of sweet and sour sauce instead of fish sauce?!? 4 egg rolls were too much. if only they can do half orders… …surprisingly, the staff was very eager to present and collect my bill, even though I was still eating and the restaurant was 75% empty with plenty of time before closing?!? ~$ 23/person after tax and tip for dinner… ouch.

Grand opening not too long ago and it has been a while since I’ve eaten in this plaza but I thought I’d give it a try with a few of my friends. We were immediately seated by the super friendly waitress who we all adored. We got to try an order of grilled nem rolls to share and 3 out of 4 of us ordered the Kobe special phở and one ordered the combination vermicelli. I doubt its kobe beef but it is definitely higher quality than you typically get when ordering phở. The only problem I have is that you wish you had more meat considering the slightly higher price you are paying. Overall the food was good and service could not be any betters as it was seriously all smiles from the moment we walked in, ordered, requested for extra fish sauce, paid, and left.

The 2 stars are for the friendly staff. I dont understand what the hype is about. I ordered the Kobe phở, and there was nothing special to it. The broth was just so-so, and the meat was not that great. The serving of their BBQ chicken was very small, and not enough. They serve it flaked, which is weird compared to other places I’ve been to that had 2 big pieces of chicken. Everything was overpriced and not worth the money. I left disappointed. I dont think i will be back, sadly.

Can’t say I loved it. It does taste less MSG than all the other phở places, but it was extremely fatty tasting(the soup). I got the kobe beef special. It came about 2 pieces of steak, a lot of briskets though. The brisket was more fatty than other places. We also got an eggroll to share. It was just okay also.

If you get to this plaza, the restaurant is still listed as «Phở-licious» on the directory. Its located by the theater towards the back. Spring rolls with grilled nem were not worth it. The meat didn’t taste grilled and was thin with almost the texture of lunch meat. There’s a rolled up crunchy/fried egg roll skin inside(like Brodard’s) and greens but it still tastes pretty plain. Homemade sauce was good. Also, there was a small hair in one of the rolls. Kobe Phở Special was great. High-quality steak, brisket and meatballs but hard tendon unfortunately. Broth was light and flavorful. They claim to not use MSG which I believe since I wasn’t thirsty after eating here at all. Although I enjoyed the phở, I wouldn’t make the trek just for it and I wouldn’t want to pay $ 13. I’d stick with Phở Kim Long which is always good and reasonably priced.

I am a phở snob. I make it at alot at home so a phở restaurant has to live up to some high standards. Anytime someone goes out to eat phở, I always warn them not to drink the broth. Yes you heard that right. Most of these phở places are MSG laden with god knows what else. Old broth, new broth added together.etc. I have finally found a place where I can safetly say, go ahead and sip away. It is light and fragrant. The subtle hints of star anise and ginger works in harmony. Quality american kobe or you can opt for regular beef but I suggest you splurge an extra few bucks to get the better experience. They also have a good selection of vegetarian dishes which I appreciate. Their vegetarian phở is loaded with vegetables and some mock meat. The vegetarian egg rolls are delicious and so is their vegetarian chow mein. Something for everyone. The restaurant is clean and service is polite. I just wish it was closer to me. If I am too lazy to cook, and craving some phở, I would definitely trek here for a bowl. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5

It has been 2 years since I’ve moved to the Bay Area and I have embraced everything Cupertino has to offer. Oh, hello endless supply of delicious Asian cheap eats! Hullo there, boba tea at every nook, and alas a legit Phở restaurant in Cupertino ~ I’m stoked! The restaurant interior was nothing fancy, it was kinda dark and gloomy, but what they lack in atmosphere, they made it up with their phở. They specialize in the role of American Kobe beef, offering something uniquely that other Phở places don’t offer(at least in this part of town: P). Priced at $ 13, it comes with one size fits all(big) bowl. The noodles were perfect, the broth was on a lighter side and even better no MSG! The meat was OMG as it melts in my mouth… yummy! I also had their egg rolls — it comes on beautiful plating but too salty so I probably wouldn’t order it again. The service was great, I received all smiles and a very accommodating environment. Definitely triumphs all the other Phở places I’ve been to. Overall, a very satisfying Phở experience and I will be their fan phở-ever!
