I have two dancers that attend class for as many as 11 hours a week at The Still Pointe and I could not be more delighted with the level of professionalism and training they receive. At the time of this review they have trained with The Still Pointe Dance Studios into our third year. One dancer would like to move into a professional dance career and I am delighted to say that under the direction and training of the staff at Still Pointe Dance Studios she has seen incredible growth and been directed toward the right training paths such as summer intensive ballet programs. I am grateful for the attention to detail and demanding discipline that surrounds every detail of this studio. A poorly trained dancer can suffer unnecessary injury at a young age and experience pain for the rest of her life. Mrs. Rogers is demanding but at her heart is the excellence and safety of her dancers. Yearly, Still Pointe Dance Stuidios showcases on an optional performance that offers the student a real life opportunity to go through an audition process and than perform in a large ballet piece. The students and parents fill out an application to participate and they sign a contract stating they understand the rehearsal requirements and that they understand they are not to miss a single practice without prior approval from the studio or forfeit their role in the dance. The parent and student(no matter the age) are required to sign this contract. If a ballet company does not require such strict attendance at rehearsal how will the dancers ever learn the roles to perform well?! We choose to participate yearly and it proves challenging to get them to every practice but, I did sign the contract and I did apply to have them in the performance. We have not regretted a single performance and look forward to each new years rehearsals and performance piece.

My granddaughters transferred to this studio two years ago from one in Orlando Florida. Due to the distance, I’m not able to see their daily progress like I did when they lived near me. On a recent visit to Atlanta, I was very impressed with not only how their technique has improved but their level of commitment and maturity has grown. The below critic clearly is misguided in her interpretation of what it takes to develop the discipline necessary to succeed as a professional, be it in dance or any other field. As a grandmother, I fully understand the importance of a parent who holds a child to the apparent standard of those joining them in raising their children.

We love Still Pointe! Our two oldest daughters have been going to Still Pointe for the last few years(our third will join in the Fall), and we have had an incredible experience! They have been given the opportunity to learn dance and make lifelong friends each and every week. One thing that stands out for us is Still Point’s desire for older students to pour in(and disciple) the younger students. Additionally, we love their Christ-centered approach to dance — and their desire to create an environment to honor God in everything our children do. All of the instructors that have taught our children(Miss Eleanor, Miss Grace, Miss Kayla, etc, etc) have been fabulous!

If you are looking for a ballet studio that fosters a loving environment where not only the teachers, but students encourage one another to do their best for the Lord, look no further. We have been part of the Still Pointe family since they first opened their doors in 2006 and two of my children have been under their leadership and care at some point throughout this time. The training they provide is technically excellent and the environment could not be any sweeter or more«wholesome.» Having a daughter who aspires to dance professionally, I know how important it is to find a place where she can grow, develop, and prepare for the future. Eleanor Rogers, and everyone of her staff, partner with us to encourage my daughter’s walk with the Lord while giving her the training she needs to enter the«ballet world.» Ask anyone who goes there or has been to one of their productions and you’ll find out why families choose Still Pointe as the place for their children to dance. We are all so thankful to be a part of it. :)

Unfortunately, I am having to write a bad review. We were so excited when we moved to Georgia to find a studio that represented itself with a Cross on their logo. I thought that my daughter would do what she loved and be in an environment of love and care. She is extremely shy and was just coming out of her shell. I am an overextended mom of three kids and tend to run late. This is my fault and my non driving kids, sadly, are at my mercy. Today we immediately withdrew from Still Pointe when after handing out gifts and seeing up trees in Atlanta for families struggling, we arrived very late to practice and I listened to Mrs. Rogers, the owner publicly shame my 13 year old in front of the entire Troup. The full cast. I am appalled and ashamed that a Christian leader would treat my daughter this way in front of her peers. I understand I was late, shame me not my daughter.
