Pollo Tropical

Love this location. Every time we eat here it is fresh and fairly fast, not instant like most fast food though. Try the cilantro garlic sauce from the bar, so good! Our children aren’t huge fans because their children’s menu lacks the typical fried foods, but that could be one of the reasons we love this place so much. Also, try the chipotle chicken sandwich, it never is a disappointment.

I’ve been to this location several times and they are always very friendly! Go to food when I’m in a hurry. Never disappointed

Love the corn soufflé side. The grilled chicken is also well seasoned. have it with the poyo poyo sauce and pineapple rum. Perfect combination.

I like it… usually stick w/​the chicken breasts meal because the chicken is flavored perfectly. Meat has been dry a couple of times but the manager or employee on duty replaced it instantly for me and I’ve never experienced an «attitude» of any kind because of it.
For a healthy «fast food» option, it’s pretty darn good…

Why y’all gotta be hating on the P-​tropical?
It’s fast food. A chicken sandwich is less than 4 dollars. Their po-​yo sauce and lime cilantro sauce is banging. Y’all haters be tripping.

First time and the whole family loved it. We had the 3 meat trio and the chicken wrap. Lite chop for the kids. Cannot even take the picture we inhaled the food.

The service was great we where greeted and seated. There was plenty to choose from on the menu the food was decent price. Chips and salsa that was brought to the table were good. The food was fresh hot and tasty. We went during lunch and the food and service was divine.

Excellent. The flavored are delish! We typically get the family value meal which is Sooo filling. The pork is awesome too. Aye here in south Florida, so happy to have it again!

I went through the drive thru on a Tuesday night. There was no wait (awesome) and ordered the calypso beef plate with yellow rice and beans. I got a tropical breeze drink which I am 97% sure it was v8 splash. And it was the equivalent of three mouthfuls which sucked. So on to the entrée… The calypso beef had a spicy smell and was tender and delicious, with pickled onions. The yellow rice was fluffy and had a good flavor and the black beans were warm with a hint of spice. I was looking for more out if a dinner plate but I haven’t written off pollo tropical just yet.

So far the customer service has been sub par for most of the visits I’ve had here. The customer service has improved slightly in my last two visits though, so I will revisit here because the food is really good, especially for the cost, and determine if I will continue frequenting this restaurant. If they can convince me that it is worth coming back because they plan on treating people well and cleaning the restaurant properly, I will change this to a higher starred rating.
Although, I have now been here for over 30 minutes, and only the manager has come out to take plates, but nobody has come to sweep the floor or wipe off the tables and salsa bar, all of which need to be cleaned right now. This so far has been a constant throughout all of my visits here, which is very disappointing.

I grew up in Miami and vaguely remember when Pollo Tropical’s started appearing in FL. Though I’ve only been a handful of times, my memory of the food was pretty decent.
On the way home from a long day of running errands, I wanted something easy, quick, and decent. Pollo Tropical was it.
Ugh, I should’ve taken the extra few minutes to order take out. The chicken was so dry. It was inedible for human consumption. Very disappointing.
My dog really enjoyed it.

Restaurant managers should never be abrasive with customers– albeit the food has always been good.
I had an incorrect order, which happens anywhere; so went back to get order corrected and the manager slammed a tray on the counter and glared at me. I did not realize she was the manager, until I asked to speak to a manager; thinking to have then speak with the violent tempered employee. However, she WAS the manager. I left and called the corporate office in Florida about this extreme behavior, and as of 2 weeks later, they have never called back.
Still the food has been good. I suggest not patronizing the Cumming location until the manager undergoes anger management. Would NOT have wanted children to be exposed to this sort of outburst when asked to check an order. I might guess she was having a bad day that I know nothing about, but public displays of aggressive behavior in a public restaurant are not acceptable
I will not be exposing my family to this. I hope the corporate office does take some sort of action.

Been here once with wife and kids. The food was good but the portions were smaller than expected. It’s kind of a fast food looking place inside but healthier and better quality food than the average fast food joint. Can’t complain. Nothing special, just a good place to go if you don’t want the average fast food meal.

it was ok, not bad, nothing special, though it could have been more so because for the second time that I ordered there (both times in the drive through), I asked for salsa to spice it up. And found out a bit down the road that I did not get any. It really needed some flavor cause it was boring! Very disappointed in that. If I had had that salsa or some hot sauce or something, it would have been good.

A little pricy for what they offer. The chicken is okay, but often dry. Good veggie selection. I’ll go here when I need fairly healthy food, quickly.

This place do not have any idea of customer service. Been here 2 times in the same week and they always miss my order. The employees are not even train properly. They just lost a 2 a week customer I will make sure every one I know don’t visit this restaurant.

–Love all of the dipping sauces that you can use with your chicken

We ordered chicken platter with ribs and chicken wings. chicken was moist. ribs were tender. chickens wings had a good Caribbean sweet flavor.
service was slow. staff were friendly. We will go back.

I went back with my high brow, snooty, aristocratic, bourgeoisie buddy from Spain. He loved it. He was surprised they had plantains and yuca. We ordered everything, all the sides and entrees. 5 more stars.

Food taste ok presentation is horrendous.
Customer service was bad and manager act like they did not care!

Bread was stale
Corn was over cooked
Macaroni was excellent.
This is my 3^rd time and my last. I figured after 2 months they would have gotten it all together. I was mistaken!
I was very exited when they came because I had eaten at one in south Fla. Well apparently standards are different here.
