Food was incredible. Crazy roll and double tuna rolls were awesome. Came in for lunch and service was fast

I thought this was very good. The price is reasonable and affordable. And the sushi was fresh and delicious. We also had their Bento with salmon and the salmon was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. The service was good too. I’m so pleased that we discovered this place.

The food is fantastic, but the service was awful. We were there for over 2 hours, they forgot some of our rolls, my daughter was served last and our bills were all wrong. I’ll stick to Kani House.

I’ll start off with the good :
The food was great.
Prices are reasonable-​double check your bill, you may be charged for something you didn’t have.
The bad:
Service was the horrible.
Bills were brought out wrong. Items were added that we didn’t have.
Food took 1.25 hours.
Kids food came out last.
Overall, I would not recommend this place. As I said, food was solid, but they were understaffed and service was nonexistent. One woman working the entire dining room is just not enough.

I frequent this sushi place quite a bit since I work near by. Very fresh sushi and very friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Came to this location due to the convenience of how close it is to the house, and our favorite sushi place wasn’t open (too bad our one year anniversary didn’t fall on a Tuesday). Walked in, and very mellow atmosphere with the TVs on and country music in the background (as I found, later, they played a variety of music but not really relevant to the dining).
We were greeted by a lady who was very friendly, as well as the Sushi Chef. The service was above average for sure. I started off with the Miso Soup and my honey had a ginger salad. I’ve found I can judge a good sushi place based off their Miso soup and this place had very good Miso soup with generous helpings of tofu. I’d give the soup a 4 out of 5 alone. My honey liked the salad and it was also a bigger size.
I ordered a hot sake, which they brought a napkin with to pour it (brownie points for not burning my fingers), and it was pretty good with a decent amount of pours. The house Chardonnay my honey ordered wasn’t so great, but a decent pour.
The rolls were not bad at all for the price. We had the double tuna, spicy dynamites and lava volcano roll (which the sushi chef added fresh jalapeños too and kicked it up to how I like my rolls, spicy!). The wasabi wasn’t potent which disappointed me but the rolls were good and sushi did taste fairly fresh. I didn’t really have a favorite roll though, and the one I liked was mainly bc of the fresh jalapeños.
I will say, the service/​price/​location/​soup will bring us back again and I’d recommend for those that love close by who want a decent sushi place that won’t cost an arm and leg.

This place never disappoints. Always very friendly Sushi Chefs, exceptional quality sushi. We love their ginger salads too. Just wish they offered more variety of sushi rolls. We like mostly cooked rolls and there are only a few to choose from. Would love to see a variety of crab/​shrimp rolls offered that didn’t have raw fish on top for those of us that like only like the cooked ones. Still one of best in Cumming area!

Super cute place. Fresh sushi, excellent service and was willing to customize menu for my kids. We will be back!

Sat at sushi bar for an hour and when I said I had to leave in 10 minutes they rushed my order… not happy

Amazing sushi and I’m originally from LA. Their Salmon was so so fresh and tender. Melted in my mouth. And don’t even get me started on how amazing the prices are! I got a very filling meal for under $ 20. I highly recommend this place!!!

Pricey but good. Clean restaurant. Ok staff. The place itself is small and a bit crowded.

People are very nice. We went in last second (9:30) and they served us anyway.
They are efficiently run and clean. The food was great. Also their prices are better than some other neighboring sushi restaurants!
My only complaint is that the receipts aren’t itemized so when I thought something was missing in the order I couldn’t check to see if I was charged for it or not. Alas, it’s my fault for ordering last minute and not checking the to-​go order till we got home.

LOVE this place. After moving from NYC, the hunt was on to find an affordable and quality sushi spot. And here it is!

Hands down my favorite sushi spot. The vibe inside is comforting and the sushi chefs are great to talk to. Now the best part is the sushi. It’s always fresh and made to perfection. Don’t get me started about the edamame, I was hesitant because I had never tried it, now I am addicted.

I saw the reviews and tried to give it and decided to give it a try, I got there on Friday night air conditional was off so is very hot there was one waiter or waitress and she was pushing the table clearing buggy taking orders at the same time what a car wreck I I can’t imagine the food was good because it was total disorganization and it was hot you make up your own mind.

The first time I ever tried sushi, it was here at Kitani Sushi! I asked the chef what I should get, knowing that I was a newcomer to sushi, and not familiar with the flavors. He suggested an eel roll! I loved it. I have since branched out, and tried sushi at many restaurants, but none will ever compare to the sushi here. The family that owns the restaurant are just about the kindest people I have ever met in my life, and the service has never disappointed. I love all the sushi I’ve tried here, and my boyfriend told me the miso soup was some of the best he’d ever had! The prices are much better than many other sushi places in the area. Try it! We loved it, and will be going back as often as possible.

I was really looking forward to trying this place, because I heard such good things about it via online reviews. Service was really good, and they offered lollipops to my daughter and her friend. Their spicy mayo was more mayo than spice. The sashimi was okay, not fishy, but not as good as my favorite sushi place in Alpharetta. The roll I got was just okay too. It was a lava volcano roll, and the flavor was kinda bland. They did have a tuna tower, which is unique and it tasted the best, but it was very small for $ 8. All in all, I’d probably go back if I wanted to go somewhere close, but not my top choice.

This is a great place with some of the freshest fish I’ve had! The service is great as well. In additional to the fish, I really enjoyed the calamari salad, something you can’t find in a lot of sushi places. If you are looking for something flashy (e.g., setting onion rings on fire), this is not the place for you. But, if you enjoy really fresh, thick-​cut pieces of sushi at extremely affordable prices, this place can’t be beat!
