I visited Giggle B on a rainy Friday afternoon with my 2-year-old. The place is all kid space, in what looks like an old house, with each room having a designated purpose. There’s a space with foam flooring where the kids can play with big foam blocks, musical instruments and a little puppet show theatre, there are magnetic boards with gears and letters, a Lego table, cardboard blocks, and a variety of other toys and things to do. But the real draw, at least for my daughter and me, is the art room, which is basically a table full of art supplies where kids(and parents) can create whatever their imagination wants to create. My daughter loved getting messy with the tempera paints, and had a great time with glitter and googly eyes. And, best of all, I didn’t have to clean anything up!(Well, within reason.) It feels sort of like playing at a friend’s house except nobody is territorial about toys, which for a 2-year-old who’s just learning about sharing makes play time much more fun. It seems like such a simple concept, but after 3 hours my daughter didn’t want to leave. On this particular day there were 4 other families there, all of which had 1 – 2 kids between the ages of 2 and 5(but it was during the day, so older kids were in school) but I could see it having appeal for kids up to 8 or so. We will definitely be back.

We just held my daughter’s 6th birthday at Giggle B. What a smashing success! The kids did a painting with Miss B. Everything is provided expect food and a cake. She has napkins, plates, decorations and even serving utensils for the cake. There is a play room in the studio so kids can stay busy while waiting for everyone to arrive. Plus there is ample comfortable space for family and other parents to hang out while the kids paint. Plus, I didn’t have to clean my house before or after:) I highly recommend Giggle B for your next party.
