Its been a while since I was here, both my friend and I felt it was on the decline and stopped going. But today we went and we’re glad we did. Very good. The lunch special was the California Burrito, we both had it, and it was very good, your choice of steak or chicken. Big, fat, and smothered in queso. Oye como va, bring it on! Chicken, rice, beans, cheese. I guess the california part was the topping of avocado slices, how quaint. Then as I’m walkin out I notice the 75 health score. Uh oh. And as soon I get home i look up the report and score at the county website. Uh oh. As I’m reading, nothing serious, but certainly unacceptable items out of compliance such as keeping foods at acceptable temps, food utensil sanitization, etc. Bummer amigo. My experience is that most of the time its a management changeover issue, where a new manager comes in and… too much on his plate, pun intended. That’s still no reason to be out of compliance but it is what it is. Let’s hope they get it together but I’ll be checking their score on a regular basis. I’m startin to burp as I’m writing this.

Our usual Mexican spot. Food is really good, servers are great and their salsa is fantastic. I especially like the warm salsa. I would have given it 5 stars but every now and then there isn’t enough seasoning on the chicken to really give it any taste.

The food was pretty good, service was okay. But hey you get a free dessert if you review on Unilocal. So there’s that…

I hate giving a restaurant a low score based on MY first visit, but sadly, this one kind of deserves it. We dined there for a late lunch on Sunday. Visually, the place looked great! Very clean and well decorated. There were a few tables of customers and 2 or 3 servers, but the servers tended to stay in the kitchen instead of being available if needed. My wife ordered chicken fajitas which were pretty good. On a side note, who doesn’t put cheese on their fajitas? It seems like every place we go for fajitas, there is an extra charge for shredded cheese for FAJITAS! I ordered a combo with a beef burrito and a chile relleno stuffed with beef and cheese. What I received was a burrito and something that in no way resembled a chile relleno. I have never heard of a chile relleno that wasn’t battered or breaded and fried. I understand that a TRADITIONAL Mexican relleno is just a roasted pepper stuffed with cheese. OK, that would have been 100 times better than what was on my plate. Imagine a 3 inch by 2 inch slice of pepper resting on top of a pool of grey goo that didn’t resemble meat. I asked our server if this is what it was supposed to look like and apparently, it is. She said their chile poblano is stuffed and fried. She did bring me one of those and it was ok-ish, but much better than the grey goo. Lo siento, but we won’t be back.

Get the seafood burrito, it’s huge and good. Their ‘ritas are great and decently priced. This place is much better than one just a mile down the road and better prices. It’s not your typical Mexican restaurant, it’s menu is a little bit expanded. Been there many times and will return.

First time, great so far! Been to a few Mexican places around here, trying them out since I just moved here and this has been my best experience. Service was great and the food too, the salsa was nice and warm I enjoyed that. Will definitely make this my Saturday evening dinner with family spot!

This place is AWESOME I have no clue why it gets bad reviews. The food has always been great as the customer service. Food portions for price are right on. And we LOVE Francisco who is a manager/server!

Wow, what a disappointment this was! We came here on a lark to see if we could get some good Mexican close to home. It was not crowded, wasn’t late, servers everywhere, no excuse for poor, slow service. our quest can barely warm, not even completely melted, had to send it back for a warmup. We all three ordered burritos, not an involved dish! Half an hour later, just as we had decided to leave. Our food arrived. It was Luke warm at best, and had no spice or flavor to it. Really sad to see this? From the other reviews it seems real hit or miss here. Not sure it’s worth a second chance to see if it improves

Tried for first time. The food was very good. A notch above the average Mexican restaurant. Several different menu items that are usually not on the average Mexican menu. Portions are good. Cocktails were mixed well, they actually had liquor in them! So overall a very good experience. Will definitely return.

Absolutely avoid this place on Tuesdays. They have a band blasting deafening music throughout the bar and restaurant. The staff hates it and the mgr couldn’t care less for them or the guests. I generally like this place but will NEVER come again on a Tuesday or other BAND. Someone should sue them from destroying gues’s children eardrums

Gave this place 3 chances as it is really close to our house. If a decent drink is your goal, this place is OK. If you are looking for something that even resembles decent Mexican food and service, steer clear. On our last visit, the waitress got our order completely wrong. Food was literally cold. I was over it and ate mine. My friend asked the waitress to microwave it. Generally this would generate a remote response of, «I’m sorry, is this cold. We will remake it». Nope not here. The waitress just grabbed the plate and walked away. She nuked it and dropped it back off. Such a let down as we need a decent mexican food place in Cumming. This place will not get another dollar out of me.

We were there last week and really liked it. The food tasted great and their prices weren’t high. The service was slow, I guess the waiter forgot about us for about half an hour, we had to ask for refills but because of their food and prices we will try it again! ;)

Food is typical American-Mexican food. We eat here maybe once a month. Chips and two types of salsa are pretty good. We choose this location for logistics more than anything else. Restaurant is clean, food is good, service is… meh. We have had lackluster service more often than not. Good place to meet friends to eat and have drinks. Wait is sometimes long during football and baseball season since it is right next to the park.

Consistently good quality food at a great price. Their fajitas portions are so large there are always left overs to take home. The wait staff are courteous and friendly. Their margaritas are exceptional. It’s awesome!

Eddie the manager tried to convince the bartender that what I ordered was correct… well he was wrong… he did take care of the food however I was not happy with the Manager. Other than that I have been here with my family several times and have been happy with the service. Eddie is horrible though. A tweak on managemen is needed!

TL: DR: Service was terrible on multiple occasions I refuse to eat here again Food is «ok» for americanized Mexican. Long Review: Being so close to work, we’ve made it here for lunch a few times, and it just seems as though the service got worse as the trips increased. At our last trip, we had about 9 people in our party and we waited 30 minutes AFTER we were done eating before we actually received the bill. For drinks we ordered a Michilada and a Coronita, both of which were ridiculously huge and priced accordingly. Neither one of the drinks were mixed well, and left us regretting our decision to order them. The food here deserves at least 3 stars, but I subtracted 1 for the horrible customer service. In the end, we have taken this off our lunch rotation. Hopefully they’ll shape up and cause us to want to give it one last chance.

The décor is very nice and the staff is friendly. I had soft chicken tacos; the chicken was well seasoned and juicy, however it was lacking in the usual supple amount of lettuce. Also the rice was much better than other Mexican restaurants however I would like the veggies in the rice to be crunchier and have more of them. The salsa was a bit spicy for me(I’m sensitive to spice) and the margaritas are at an excellent price. I would highly consider coming back again.

Looked better than it was. Wife and I dined here. She went middle of the road with street tacos but I had one of their special mixed grill items, the Cazuelon. And since it was the end of a long stressful week we also ordered a pitcher of Texas margaritas… yes, a pitcher. Wife said tacos were OK. My dish, the Cazuelon had skirt steak, chicken breast, and sausage and came out on a sizzling bed of onions and peppers… I couldn’t wait to dig in. All the meat looked great but was bland and the sausage was like a large breakfast sausage. Rather disappointing. The large pitcher of margaritas should have left me needing to be taken out in a wheelbarrow but instead I felt only bloated. It tasted a little too citrus-like and so I guess there wasn’t much alcohol in it and let’s be honest… why else order a pitcher? Another bummer. 2 stars.

Old restaurants don’t die, they just change names and tweak a few things. 7 Tequilas tweaked their main dining room pretty well — a big improvement over the old Smokejack. But I still prefer eating in the bar, where there are five or so comfortable booths and two TVs usually tuned to sports. It’s a small quiet bar, even with the TVs. The food? It’s Mexican if you haven’t guessed. Any more questions?

This is our new favorite mexican joint, but be careful on your to go orders. We have placed to go orders around 7 times, and only once was the order correct when it came out from the kitchen. The first time, we made it all the way home before looking in the bag, which prompted a quick turn around to get the right thing. The bartenders are awesome and the Burrito Carbone is out of this world with flavor.
