Sylvan Learning of Cumberland

My daughter has been going to Sylvan for over 3 years for one-​on-​one and group tutoring. I don’t know what we would’ve done without it.
Although our child is considered «highly gifted,» she has struggled with focusing, following directions, transitioning, and appropriate school behavior. When it comes to teaching, one-​on-​one tutoring has been the best method for her. One hour a week is sufficient to supplement her regular schooling, which makes it easier for her school instructors to teach.
Sylvan provides Positive Reinforcement, effectively encouraging children to enjoy learning. Students are rewarded with tokens for good work that are exchanged for prizes from the student store. My daughter always leaves happy and appreciates the gifts she earns for her hard work. Positive reinforcement gives students confidence and a sense of pride.
I highly recommend Sylvan for students who need extra support, need a little more challenge if they’re bored at school, or who would like to have an edge in class.
