We stopped here for breakfast on our way home from DC. We read on Unilocal it is popular with locals. I know why – the bread and biscuits are homemade. Good find for a good homey breakfast.

Was very impressed with the selection of homemade soups. There were at least 7 to choose from. This chili was delicious, as was my sister’s chicken gnocchi. Service was excellent and very friendly. The establishment honored our«free beverage» coupon from Unilocal.I’m mostly only rating 3 stars based on my take of their extremely«hyped-up» cheesesteak. I was not impressed at all. The sandwich was far from warm, cheese not even melted, and the bread was drenched in Miracle Whip. I was very disappointed, as the menu promised an exceptional sub! It’s possible that I just don’t know what a «real» cheesesteak tastes like, but I did not enjoy this!

I usually have very good experiences here but today was not 1 of them. My husband was eating left over food at home and found a BREADTIE in his buffalo chicken sub. This was horrible and disgusting. We r just hoping he didn’t injest a metal bread tie cuz then we’re on our way to the hospital later.

Make sure you have an appetite when you go. Great down home feel with friendly staff and great food. It’s be no means fancy but good fresh baked bread and huge portions. I will definitely be coming back!

This place has GREAT food! Try the cheesesteak sub with seasoned lettuce. The flavor is amazing, however I typically have to get the mayo on the side as they really glob it on. The bread for the subs is baked in house which helps give it that extra touch. The salads are also pretty good if you are looking to cut out the carbs(and mayo) a little bit. The service is typically really good and personable. The atmosphere is also very good. The restaurant is very clean and family friendly. The only real problem with the place is bad parking.

I want to enjoy D’Atri’s, but it doesn’t work for me. The wilted lettuce drenched in Italian dressing that overwhelms all the sandwiches is just not for me. Others love it… fine for them, I guess.

Cheesesteaks are one of a kind and amazing! I always recommend this place to people from out of town! Staff is friendly and service is very fast, even when they are really busy(which is all the time)

As most people know you can order a cheese steak for travel excited as I was and that I have ordered plenty of times before I order two cheese steaks for travel… back to Baltimore I go 5 hours later I open my bag expecting a nicely packed sandwich well that is def what I did not receive I got a bag will lettuce no container and a sub role smothered in mayo so I call the restaurant express my displeasure and explain that the bread was soggy and ruined the manager tells me the bread does no get soggy virtually calling me a liar and the best they can offer is 10 percent off my next visit mind you I don’t want 10 percent off in fact I don’t want anything off or for free I expect to pay for what I get and in this case it was a destroyed sandwich and a general Manager that didn’t believe me I hate to say this datris but I have been a life long customer the food is always good but for some reason the gm had a chip on her shoulder sadly this might be the last time I have one of these based on the employment

Years ago I thought this place was a sub shop, it’s more than that now, it’s actually a decent restaurant, good food, nice wait staff, and better than I expected.

Five stars!!! My family loves this place. One of the local restaurants my daughter likes to visit when she comes home from Myrtle Beach and one of the ones she misses(along with Lion’s chicken BBQ). We visit 2 to 3+ times a month. Great Italian food, homemade breads and deserts. The servers are always curteous, pleasant and attentive. Visit this place, you won’t go away disappointed.

The food here is just okay nothing that makes you say WOW but there isn’t much else to choose from this small city so I guess if your hungry it’s an okay place to eat.

Stopped here on our way back home from Ohio for carry-out. The place was packed, obviously a favorite of locals and travelers alike. We ordered the steak and cheese and the Italian sub. Both came with seasoned lettuce and lots of dressings. The Italian was yum but the steak and cheese was beyond delicious!!!

I’ve heard a lot of hype from my husband and in-laws about this place. The restaurant was very busy the night we went(and I guess it always is). The inside of the restaurant and clean and the servers were very nice and quick. I ordered a chicken sub with fries. The meal wasn’t mind blowing, but the portions are very large. They also unfortunately do not serve alcohol.

Stopped in while passing through the area for lunch. As was promised by other Unilocal reviewers, there was a big crowd, and it took us about 20 minutes to get a seat. My girlfriend ordered a meatball sub; she said the meatballs were a bit overcooked and dry. I got the steak sub, and it was pretty tasty, overall. The highlight was the mac and cheese we got as a side. It was terrific. We had friendly, prompt service, and the atmosphere was just fine. The value was also more than acceptable. It wasn’t a highlight of the trip, but it certainly wasn’t a disappointment either.

D’atri’s has been my favorite stop in western Maryland since I was a little girl. When I go there, even though it’s changed quite a bit in appearance, the food is just the same. The house special — pizza sauce and cheese on one of their amazingly delicious pepperoni rolls — is one of my favorites. But, it’s usually too difficult to resist the steak sub. My word! It’s so, so good. Excellent, soft roll, and the steak is topped with a lightly dressed salad(don’t mistake salad for healthy, though). You have to eat it with a knife and fork. Be sure to ask for sweet peppers on your sub. And, wash it down with a vanilla Coke. Not a bottled vanilla Coke — Coke with vanilla syrup and served with a spoon. I love D’atris! The tastes take me right back to my childhood.

Perhaps the only place around here that has a line wrapped around the building before even opening. I was smart enough to call in my carry out order ahead of time, but not smart enough to realize that there was a separate entrance for carry out orders. No worries, I did not wait long. I had the smoked turkey hoagie along with a brownie with chocolate icing. The hoagie was fresh tasting and the bread was soft. I liked the extra touch that the pickled peppers and the seasoned salad imparted, but was not completely bowled over like others. The brownie was very fudge-y and I can see how some would like it. Too sweet for me, and my husband, who I had bought it for, did not finish it. I like it better than Subway, but Hubs said Subways is better. Almost double the price for the same length of sandwich, but you get more filling with D’atri and the ingredients are better quality.

As a local favorite while growing up, I’m sad to say I was disappointed by the service here on my recent trip home. The food was pretty good still, which saved this visit. It’s hard to go wrong with the cheesesteak subs here. It was cramped(not with people, just so many tables), dirty and about 90 degrees upstairs. Our table had mayo or something smeared all over it and was set on top of that. It took 10 minutes to see a waitress and another 10 to get drinks. I also had food spilled on me twice. I really hope our server was just having a bad day.
