Cove Palisades Resorts and Marina

I called to rent boats for an event three weeks away. They took my credit card information and did not tell me there was NO refund when I booked. I called the very next day to cancel and they told me I would be charged and there was no refund. I complained that I was not informed as it was just 24 hours and my rental wasn’t for 3 weeks. They said if they get the boats rented they would refund my money. I feel they were very misleading and there is no reason for them to keep $ 800. I have never heard of that. I am not sure if this is even legal and I am looking into the legality of not disclosing their rental policy up front. I called other boat rental companies and their policies are 2 weeks out with a $ 12 charge. I have rented from them in the past and would never rent again.

We’ve been here twice now. Our son wanted to go back here to swim and float on the raft, so that says a lot. There were lots of people enjoying the sun and splashing on the beach.
Motorboats and jet skis went by fairly often.
The only negatives are that the water is a bit dirty with chunks of stuff floating in it in some areas. Also there was some goose waste on the beach and grassy areas. It’s too bad the geese couldn’t nest at some other part of the lake, but motorboats must have chased them away from everywhere else. It’s still a good place to swim and picnic though.
