My friend has been following project: gallery for the longest time via the Internet, so we made sure to visit while in town. Kim and Beau were welcoming, answering all of our questions.(Beau mentioned they might be in Philadelphia for an exhibit next year — looking forward to reconnecting!) project:gallery is intimate, and host to a trippy variety of new contemporary artwork both in terms of style and media. Prices were quite reasonable. Be sure to check their web site for news, hours, and to sign up for their mailing list! By the way, when you stop in, do glance at the ceiling — see that? No, you didn’t just go crazy; there’s actually a tree there! Since it’s a temporary installation, it might not be there anymore.

Trendy animé-meets big-eyed sad chicks painting. Don’t y’all know that this is going to look more dated than a pair of Generra jeans in a couple of years? Overheard in the gallery from a too-hairgelled Asian Hugo Boss clad boy on a microscopic cellphone: «Come and take a look. It’s very Ipod-y» ‘Nuff said. 3 stars for being there and because it’s art, and we like art. Sorta-ish.
