CONSUMERBEWARE!!! This place uses fraudulent transactions. I paid with my debit card for a(one) video rental for someone who has an account with this store. The account holder returned the videos late. The owner(Mr. Moon) decided to charge the late fees to my debit card. I do not have a account with this store nor was I informed that I would be responsible for late fees by paying for a rental. I wasn’t present when the decision of late fees allocation was made NOR when the transaction was done. The account holder isn’t authorized to use my card Nor is his name on my card. But the owner(Mr. Moon) decided WITHMENOTBEINGPRESENT that it was a good business decision. Once I saw the debit charge on my account of $ 99.99, I then contacted 20⁄20 to find out why & how this was done. I’ve never gotten an explanation til this day. Mr. Moon couldn’t speak good English and referred me to a Asst. Mngr named Lemoyne. The account holder didn’t notify me of this transaction nor did 20⁄20 Video. 20⁄20 til this day has not called me ONCE to explain how this can happen. I’m now getting told by the Asst Mngr that«in a couple days your bank account will be credited.» I called again this evening and was now told«when the account holder pays the late fees then 20⁄20 will credit your account.» SHADYSHADYSHADY!

One question — How could this place, or for that matter any 20⁄20 Video still be in business so long after Blockbuster bought the farm? I mean, maybe it’s just a matter of this chain/franchise was so insignificant that the icy hand of the grim reaper just hasn’t grasped it yet? In any case, they still buy dvd’s, at really low prices, so unless you wouldn’t rather burn them in an epic bonfire, you could go here to unload unwanted old media. As for their rentals, I mean, it just seems like this is still so stuck in the past that it can’t keep up. I don’t know how they are still in business, to be honest. Maybe a retirement home is near by and those old folks just can’t get their computers or tv’s to stream netflix. Friendly, but then again so is that crazy homeless dude who ask for change near Union station. Doesn’t mean that I need to go to him every time I want some 2 hours of entertainment.

This place is horrible. They advertised for 6 free DVD rentals with a membership… but I never got them. When I received a sudden charge on my CC for $ 19.00 for a late rental fee(6 days) I decided to call the manager Sunny and work something out. She then told me that she was dealing with a customer and hung up on me. So I called back ad canceled my membership. I expect more from a «mom and pop» video rental place.
