For a candy store, they don’t have nearly enough of a selection of candy. If you’ve ever stepped foot in a Weg-Men’s, the selection here can’t compete. Not trying to sound mean, but it can’t even compete with Wal-Mart. If you’re going to run a candy store, I would expect a big variety of candy. On top of that, they’re extremely overpriced. For example: Something that can be bought at Wawa for 99 cents, they charge $ 3. Also worth noting, they sell antiques or vintage items as well. When we went in there, we noticed that something that my mom had sold at a Yard Sale for $ 5 was in there. My mom had originally bought the item in question at Big Lots for a little over $ 15. They had the item marked at $ 40!!! Lack of selection and over priced to boot, this is one stash that needs to stay a secret. Love the idea behind the store, but the execution needs a LOT of work.

«My Secret Stash» is now it’s own store — candy & other like-minded comestibles. Lovely & nostalgic. Stopped in here yesterday & purchased our favorite handmade«Grapefruit» sugared gummy candies — absolutely wonderful, whether you eat them or drop them into a cup of hot tea. Also purchased a tin of milk-chocolate Virginia peanuts & a bag of very nostalgic raspberry hard candies with soft centers. Both of us recalled these from holidays past, & they lived up to their reputations. This is a lovely shop with lots of old-fashioned(& some new-fashioned) candies to offer sold in the old-fashioned manner. If you’re ever in Culpeper, worth a stop & a shop.

Today was our third visit to this gem of a store on Davis Street in Culpeper and I have to say, I think it has to be one of my favorite stores. I will also say that the store name is spot on in describing what I do after our visit — hide the goods of course! ;) Candy: There are so many yummy things to buy and they always have some samples on the counter as well. We stocked up on several malt balls this time around(pumpkin, lemon, coffee and cream to name a few-the chocolate sea salt was our favorite) as well as a bag of the amazing grapefruit gummies we sampled. They are very reasonably priced and the variety is noteworthy. Experience: The owner is supremely personable and we enjoy chatting with her. This time we talked about the expansion set to take place very soon. The unique pieces that make up the«Found» component of the store draw you in and before you know it, you’ve spent a good bit of time inside. Bottom line: Treat yourself and drop in! This unique small business deserves your pennies and you’ll get something out of it, too :) Next time I plan on trying their homemade Popsicles!

Today was my very first visit to this candy store. Let me 1st explain my experience… It was AMAZING! The ladies that bagged our candy straight from the jar were astonishingly nice. Yes you could probably go to a local big box store here in Culpeper and find SOME of the candy your looking for but what you won’t find is a selection like this OR the ability to taste test each candy… You also won’t find them hand wrapped in small baggies tied with green ribbon and lastly you absolutely will not find better customer service or local business friendliness any other place selling these little goodies besides My secret stash. The days of me buying candy at some big box retailer and over, also are the days of me searching online for a candy I’d love to eat again however would have otherwise been forced for buy 50 at a time of. These ladies were so amazing they even offered to get some candy we were searching for and were unable to find. Ask your self where on earth do you find that type of attention at any store today? Local Main Street business that where because from my experience it’s very hard to find. Last but not least I recommend this store to anyone with a sweet tooth or someone looking to get a family member or a loved one something with a little more personal touch than the bag of candy on the shelf. One additional thing… It’s not just candy here, nope they also sell some pretty good home décor items and personal effects as well. So buy some candy and browse the store for other one of a kind goods you didn’t know you needed until you saw them.
