I wear a suit to work daily, so you can imagine that I am at the cleaners frequently. Living in Culpeper, it was convenient for me to go there, regardless of the fact that it takes longer than most cleaners and costs more to get my suits and dress shirts done, it was worth the extra cost and time. For 6 months straight, all my cleaning went to Haymarket cleaners in Culpeper, but no more. Now, I drive all the way to Warrenton twice per week. I spend 2 hours in the car each week that I could be with my family to avoid coming to this place. This is for several reasons which built up over time — and enough is enough. Most times I visit they are just plain rude. It doesn’t seem like they care about my business particularly when I bought them quite a bit of it. There were times when I would come in to pick up clothes and they would tell me they didn’t have them. I would get answers like«maybe they are in your closet at home» or «maybe you forgot», blaming me when they misplace my clothes. In every case after my persistence they ALWAYS found my clothes but the knee-jerk reaction to blame the customer is really offensive to me. Near the end of my time with them, I picked up a batch of shirts that smelled weird. Throughout the day of wearing them, they began to REALLY smell bad, to the point it was making me nauseous and people around me were commenting on the odor. Working in a place where I have to be professional, that’s unacceptable. When I complained, they said«its not that bad». The two subsequent batches of shirts where the same way and after complaining they finally admitted that they had a «processing issue». Also, the ironing work became progressively worse over time to the point I had to re-iron half my shirts. The whole reason I take my shirts is because I don’t want to iron them. Needless to say, they have bad attitudes and very inconsistent service. That’s why I now drive 2 hours per week to go someplace else.

Update: I’d hoped posting a negative review would prompt someone to contact me regarding my lost pants to my suit. Still no word from management or ownership. Don’t go. They lose your clothes and don’t apologize.
