Phew. this review is overdued. lol. Went to see Javier Rosas, who was a total Rockstar (not a good thing) and came out to play at 2am. haha. one of the million so-​called «security guards» took my unopened beer at 2am and when confronted gave me a weak kick in the nuts. Boy I’m glad my brothers and friends intervened cause it couldn’t got out of hand. Apparently people fight here a lot. A beautiful woman told me after we danced to be careful who I ask to dance because it is common to get smashed in the head with a bottle if you ask the wrong person. Smh…
42 bucks for a 6 pack. 84 for a 12. Ghettoest «night-​club» I have ever been to. This place is in the business of ripping off the good working people of Los Angeles.
Needless to say… NEVER AGAIN.

This place has really bad service. It took me about 45 minutes to buy a water bottle. That’s just insane and so unprofessional. Don’t recommend this place at all

Run down by asians catering to latinos. Dirty, stinky and they charge you like if it were in Hollywood. Don’t come here or you’ll spend more time in line to get in than when someone pops a scene and the bouncers disrespect you and kick you out. They also have a contract with the towing company so it all stays in their business.

Still a shitty club, if you don’t mind getting glass bottles on your head go right ahead and party at Potreros

First of all its false advertising. Second it’s dirty. The staff are rude. Do not recommend at all. I wouldn’t go here at all. Would rather just stay home and Netflix and chill. Not worth the time nor money.
I tried giving it more than one try keeps on disappointing.

RIP OFF!!! DO NOT GO… restrooms are disgusting & dirty. When i spoke to the asian lady about how she charges CASH ONLY & $ 60 for a dirty bucket of 6 beers plus u have to pay $ 1 for a bottle opener she sent the security after me… total rip off

This place is a rip off with false advertising this club advertised free before 10:00pm they were changing… The bigest rip off ever… I don’t mind paying but when the lie to get customers in there clubs its highway robbery…

False advertisement!!! They advertise Free entrance before 10pm but that is just to lure you in. Of course you pay after that long wait in line. What’s worse is that owners are Asian and ignore you when you approach them to complain.
I also ordered a shot of tequila for $ 11 and tasted like moonshine.
Very poor service. If it weren’t for each one of us making the ambient — that place would be non– existent!!!

Ghetto and quite frankly the owners don’t care it’s run by Asians and don’t give a dammm they just want their money and that’s it really really poor quality they either need new management and remodel this 1980s place or shut it down which they won’t because ghetto people will still come here and pay smh

Been there three times on different days and it’s always boring, hardly any people on a weekend. Beer isn’t even cold when ordered, mix drinks are a disgrace, second floor is abandoned

This is the lowest piece of scum nightclub I have ever experiences or will probably ever experience in my lifetime. I would actually like to break this building down to build a Walmart. I would see it as more productive and useful for such a large space.
First of all, they «claim» that entrance is free before 10pm. My friends and I got there exactly at 9:45 pm. The «bouncer» who happens to be the Chinese owner as well, didn’t let us in. He was trying to make his club «pop» by making people wait outside so that the club could look full from the outside. I really had to pee and he wouldn’t let anyone in.
When I took a peak inside I swear to God there was only like 3 people inside. It was so empty! We were accepted inside at 10:20 pm! He made us wait outside for 35 minutes for no reason. Luckily he didn’t charge us. As we went inside, the bathroom looked like a bathroom you would see on skid row. I mean they were tagged on with graffitti — there was no toilet paper as well so I had to wipe my ass with the toilet cover.
The music was loud — and the speaker sounded like it was gonna explode because of the bad sound quality. The main room is pure «banda» music and the other room was «hip hop» — the hop hop music had literally one lamp that was going on and off with outdated hits of 2006. I think they had «now that is music 2005 hits» CD on the cheap stereo.
Another thing! the men here are disgustingly thirsty. I mean the level of thirst is so appalling to me. 2 guys kept following the entire night it was creepy. They asked me to dance and I said no like 5 times. And they conjured to pursue me. It was so annoying and just tasteless.
Oh and here is the best part; at the end of the night, they have a competition for the women of whoever gets the most props dancing in front of the crowd wins. 5 girls lined up and 2 of them were fat. It was disgusting to see one of them literally putting her skirt up and showing her musty pussy to the crowd for 150 dollars. I can’t believe the level of chuntiness and tackiness I was witnessing. Another thing, DO NOT order a «case» of beer! You will literally pay 60 dollars for a dirty mop bucket full of MODELOS! Please do not come here!!! It’s an abomination!

I went here on a first date with the man who’s now the amor de mi vida and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Had a great time dancing, listening to live bandas and just having a great time.
Everything crazy that could happen, happened! A fight broke out like 3 feet away from us!!! I could’ve punched the dudes too! Blood was squirting, hooker heels were flying, can/​broken glass was on the floor!!! My homie’s gf ended up losing a shoe in the mêlée!!! Now that was insane.
It was a good experience but here are the things that sucked. It was waaaayyyyyyyyyy too crowded. I couldn’t tell if they had air conditioning or not because it was so hot and crowded. Like, there was barely a centimeter between couples. I came in looking super cute and left all sweaty looking like a wet cat. Bathroom lines, especially for ladies room, were long! It was pretty filthy! And drinks were on the pricey side.
Anyway I give it a 4 from the experience alone.

First time we went we didn’t have high expectations but we had a great time We’ve been there several times since then & haven’t been disappointed yet It’s not an elegant fancy place but we have a blast The music is good & They have 2 dance floors the second floor is nothing to brag about in size because it’s very small They do play good (english) music When we come we have several tables set up for our group on the dance floor Have enjoyed Lupillo Rivera, Calle 13, Comander, & other artist I recommend you try it for yourself I can’t believe all the negative reviews but I understand that we all have different expectations & experiences A great reason to write reviews

Horrible place!!! I went for my b-​day. Bad decision. My husband and I had a bad experience. First of all the place is dirty. The floor is full of gum everywere you look theres gum. Bathrooms are dirty. Drinks are so expensive i paid $ 10 for a piña colada that was so nasty it didn’t even taste like piña colada. And it took 20 minutes for the lady to bring it. I thought she had forgot about my drink. And when they bring you beer they bring them in white buckets and their so discusting you can even see the dirt on them they dont clean them. The music is so loud!!! You can’t even hear what their singing or playing. Really bad audio!!! It makes your ears hurt. I came out with an ear ache. We went on a saturday and their wasn’t even a lot of people it was kind of empty. Please don’t go and waste your time and money here its not worth it. Anything else is better than this.

Came here for my friends birthday and I have to say I don’t believe I’ll be coming here anytime soon. rude service when paying to go inside the club and parking is horrible

I haven’t been to Potrero in years, I just looked it up to laugh my ass off. Boy, do I have stories.
First off, I used to go at the age of fifteen because they never check ID (they should def get in trouble for that) and when I was eighteen I’d go with my friend who lost her ID.
The men are total lost puppies, chasing, even stalking women as if we were an endangered species.
Only paisas and cholos are on attendance, but hey, of that’s your thing, enjoy
One time, the club was on full lockdown because of a shooting in the parking lot and the manly female body guard wouldn’t let me leave and was standing against the door.
I’ve seen AT LEAST one fight every single time I’ve gone, often up to five or six.
Def setting a world record for chuntiness and being ghetto. If you plan on going, don’t forget your shank.
