Great diner with awesome food! Third time and each visit has been very good. Great menu selection for breakfast and lunch!

Stayed at the Wagon Wheel for a wedding, and as my family slept, I took the short walk to Shelleys for some coffee. Ended up with hot coffee, half order biscuits and gravy and hash browns. Everything was great – from the service to the food.

Used to be a Dairy Queen. Small restaurant. Small town feel… because it is a small town. Decorated in Route 66 stuff. We waited quite awhile due to a waitress that had to take a personal call, although other servers were available. People seated after us were finished with their meals before we were served. Standard breakfast. Meh. We’d maybe try another place if in the area again.

On a recent route 66 road trip, dropped in for breakfest. Big portions of clasic diner food. Everything we had was just as we expected and tasted good. Staff was freindly and so were the local folks. Everyone makes you feel welcome. If you find yourself nearby stop in for some honest route 66 food.

Our family of four enjoyed breakfast there today. Service was great, kids loved the blueberry pancakes and the spinach artichoke omelet. The food tasted good and the service and atmosphere was good. Fairly healthy option with tomatoes on the side instead of potatoes. Biscuits and gravy needed more chunks of sausage to be awesome. Monique was our waitress and we met Shelly working the line. We will be back!

Great for breakfast. Portion sizes are large. Not much seating though and the bathroom leaves something to be desired. Friendly service. Shelly’s could stay open longer. No dinner services at all. Breakfast and lunch only.

Awesome! Lots of friendly folks and great food. Everything was cooked to order and yummy! We stopped for lunch during a road trip, I had the pork tenderloin sandwich and my boyfriend had the double cheeseburger. Warning both entrees were HUGE! Every one was kind and the place looks like a little diner and very clean! Stop for a nice throwback to the 50’s Route 66 dining!

This was the cleanest, friendliest little café I found on a recent trip across the state. The two women working there were absolutely terrific and I saw a lot of local«regulars» inside but it still seemed very true to their signage about welcoming strangers. We felt more than welcome! My boyfriend enjoyed the catfish special — tons of food for cheap — while I really liked the fish sandwich and possibly the best fries I’ve had in a year or more. Yummy. Small and kitschy Route 66 décor but done well… cute and super clean.

We decided to stop here for lunch to see if it was still Marge’s Café, but saw it had a new name and new owner. We decided to give it a try. We opted for the burgers. While it wasn’t bad, it wasn’t anything special. I’m giving it two stars since service was a bit slow. The waitress is also the cook. She was sitting there watching tv and eating chips and dip. I think she even collected money from another table. She also sat there and lit up a cigarette while we were eating. I don’t know if there is a smoking ban in Missouri, but I thought it was unprofessional. Not once did I see her go wash her hands.
