Crystal Nails

Being from out of town it’s always risky looking for hair and nail salons, but I visited the Unilocal site first in hopes of weeding out a negative experience. Unfortunately I do not agree with the reviews here.
First of all, the smell of acrylic nails was very offensive right when I walked in the door. The selection of polishes did not look up to date, and the service was less than average.
My pedicure took about 30 minutes, (I felt rushed).
I was really looking forward to a relaxing foot massage, but I have to tell you it was very disappointing. The girl did a short, sort of leg massage, but completely missed doing the actual feet!
I am not sure about what others are expecting but I usually a foot massage comes with a pedicure service in my past experiences at nail salons.
I was supposed to also be receiving a manicure but I went ahead and cancelled that part of the service.
I would not recommend this place at all.

I stopped into 3 nail salons and walked out before I found this one. The prices are good and the service was excellent. I got a great foot/​leg rub, great use of the pumice stone and the manicure was just as relaxing.
But note: They only accept cash TIPS… all services can be charged, though.

Friendly service and decent prices make this a good choice to treat yourself. The only downside is that sometimes their is a wait.

This is the best nail place in the Crystal Lake area. Wonderful people working there — they are always friendly and accomodating. Sometimes you have a bit of a wait as a walk-​in, but trust me, it’s always worth it.
