If you want mediocre to poor food and horrible service this is the place for you. Wife asked for no mayo on BLT and got mayo. Waitress was gone so long that everyone at the table had already finished their food before we could tell her about this. My wife kindly asked to just remove it from the bill because she didn’t want to wait any longer. Waitress came back dropped the bill on the table and said«manager took the sandwich off but charged you for the fries because you ate them» and left. $ 1.99 the cost of fries. Is it worth losing customers for $ 1.99? I guess so. We won’t be back. When we asked the manager is this how you treat all your customers? His snarky reply says it all, «the waitress didn’t hear you say that but we took it off anyway». Customer service at it’s best. This restaurant is Denny’s on drugs!

Unimpressive food that tastes microwaved. I love shrimp, but every time I order the butterfly shrimp, they taste rubbery. The waitresses are either warm and friendly, or rushed and emotionless. Wide selection of delicious desserts and treats, large kids’ menu. I highly recommend asking for Melinda if you do visit Around the Clock.

When I was moving to Crystal Lake this was one of the first restaurants which I tried out. I highly recommend it because the staff are so friendly and welcoming. As a newcomer to the area, lonely and vulnerable, they made me feel like I was somebody who they cared about. My favorite for breakfast is the lo carb 3 cheese and ham omelet. I am mostly working so I have seldom been there for lunch, but in the evening I found their LA salad to be fantastic. To go with it, although it does not show up on the menu, they have a great French onion soup. The only reason I do not give 5 stars is because they do not serve wines with your meal, and in my mind that is a whole different class of restaurant.

Went there for lunch and they were pretty busy! We’ve been to this place a couple of times and neither time was very great. The service is good, but the food is bland and the servings are small. French toast and eggs meal is only one piece of French toast and 2 eggs for almost $ 7.

My French Toast was hard and cold. The item on the menu that I had hoped to get wasn’t available that day. Pleasant waitress, though.

Went there out of recommendation from co-worker Went around 7 p.m. and ordered the prime rib. It was warmed up at best and definitely not medium rare which we ordered. We were told the size of the prime rib was 10 — 12 oz but it was about 6 oz of fat. The mashed potatoes looked like they had been sitting around all day without any flavor, very bland. The vegetables were cold. The only thing that was good at this restaurant was the bread and the server was good. Definitely a waste of time and money and will not be coming back.

We wen’t here on Easter for a quick bowl of soup. I had the Tomato Bisque and my husband had the fruit plate. My soup was tomato water. It had no taste and found something very interesting in it, a piece of the metal scrubbing pad they use to clean the grill. How that ended up in my soup is a mystery. They took it off the bill, gee you think? The fruit plate was cottage cheese, canned peaches and caned pineapple. Very boring. This was my second bad experience at this place. Will not be going back.

Just ate an early dinner at this place, had he prime rib, ITWASHORRIBLE, bland ultra thin cut with utterly no flavoring from what little juice there was also it was served cold… had mashed potatoes with it and that tasted like old 3 day outta the box mashed potatoes, corn was straight out of the can they didn’t bother to hear that up, just a massive disappointment, told the waitress and cashier, no manager ever came, not that I woulda ate another prime rib or substitute I just wanted to get outta there, don’t waste your time!

I haven’t been to this restaurant since I was I real young, we’re talking possibly middle school, so, over 15 years. Anyway, when I was younger, this was the type of place to go for a certain occasion, especially if you want some real good breakfast. Every time I went, I usually get the same stuff: pancakes, eggs, sausage, etc. of course at the time, I was never use to ordering my own food. One of the best things I always use to get to finish my meal was the chocolate milkshake. Boy did I love that, especially when they put whipped cream on top. Like I said in the beginning, I haven’t been at this place in years. I’ve been meaning to go back, but most of the time I’m busy, and never had had a chance to pick this place as a hangout with friends and family. Once I do go back, I hope to experience the same thing like when I was younger. That way I can write another good review.

Decided to give this place a try, so took the family a couple weeks ago. Two of us ordered breakfast food, one got a burger, and I ordered French dip sandwich. The family said their food was fine, but my sandwich was horrible. It was the worst French dip I ever had. The meat was rubbery and really unappetizing, while the fries were below average too. Well, last night my family asked to go back there. I figured I will give them another try. Again, they were OK with their meals, but I ordered chopped steak and, once again, it was horrible! Absolutely the worst I’ve ever had. It had a strange flavor and texture. Disgusting! Apparently they have inferior meats there, so stick with chicken or breakfast food. Oh, then on top of it, our waitress kept bringing us refills on drinks without us asking, ANDTHENBILLEDUSFORTHEM. This place is a joke, in my opinion. I wish you luck if you go there.

I ate there yesterday and I was very disappointed. I ordered the Prime Rib and the waiter couldn’t even tell me how big it was. The French Onion soup came first and it was too salty and the cheese wasn’t browned like the way I get it everywhere else. The Prime Rib was supposed to be medium rare because they won’t serve it rare. It was medium well as I could tell it was reheated. It wasn’t tender and to be honest not favorable at all. I doubt if I ever go there again nor would I recommend the place to anyone.

Great food, American diner food. Their pies and cakes are fantastic if you save room for dessert which is pretty hard their meals are wonderful, well priced and filling. I would recommend getting soup and salad bar. French onion is my favorite I prefer mine with just croutons no cheese. If you do get the chance for desert. the German chocolate cake is amazing!!! The service is wonderful. The noise level is so so if you go during busy hours obviously it will be hard to converse but it’s not usually bad unless it’s during the holidays. when everyone is out shopping, spending time with family. It’s great for the family. the waitresses are very nice and understanding with children. I take my 10 mo there all the time and the waitresses love when he comes in. they play peek a boo with him. they are also very helpful by picking up his toys or bottles That he throws. I can’t say enough. I really like around the clock. I’ve been going there to eat since I was a child and now I take my own child there to eat. I hope this is helpful

This was top notch in my book. Rebeca took care of me and make sure I had coffee, water, and TWO kinds of hot sauce! Bright cheerful place with(to me at least), looked like regular peeps in for breakfast. Got out with a healthy breakfast + coffee for $ 12 with a tip. I thought it was a fair price for great service, pretty good coffee… all in a hot breakfast. I’m in a out of CL on business and will certainly be back.

One of my all time favorite breakfast joints. Delicious food. Even better loaves of bread… served warm with a fluffy inside. Hot chocolates are amazing as well. The service is also great. The waitresses are on top of their game and they’re paying attention when you need something or to refill your coffee. The one and only pit fall that is completely misleading is they are not open«around the clock»(anymore.). They are open late but apparently used to be 24⁄7 hence the name.

We love this place. Great variety of breakfasts. Very convenient. Get a meal at any time of day except the very middle of the night.
