This is probably my most favorite antique store in Crown Point. The merchandise is beautiful and they have some really rare finds. The prices are very reasonable. THEYLIKETOSELLANDTURN-OVER, so check frequently for the stock to change. FYI, they don’t typically carry anything after 1950, except for some beautiful barkcloth. The owners are friendly and down-to-Earth. Just my speed.

If you like buying vintage, you’ll love this place. You might even wish you could move in. So at least bring a few things home, OK? You’ll notice right as you walk in that there’s a strong common aesthetic holding it together. It’s not a mall like so many antique shops these days, so the goods are more consistently curated. The style… think: folding cameras, report cards, found apothecary bottles, oak, linen, rescued library books, twine, brass door handles, tin, and fans that look like they can slice your fingers. Grab any number of things, and collect lots of them, place artfully on beautiful furniture, and you got an antique shop that also serves as showroom. Good for digging, but even better for inspiring. We grabbed a bunch of items that weren’t priced, which made me nervous, but was totally pleased with offers. I didn’t even need to haggle. Crown Point is a bit of a haul from the Chicago area, but worth it for a weekend trip.
