There is no wifi. The comic selection is limited. To get to it, you have to walk between the widescreen TV and the customers. The owner expressed an extremely condescending attitude when asked about it. After I posted my original review(2 stars) the owner sent me an insulting note via Unilocal.I noticed she has also posted a 5 star review of her own business. I’m disappointed that Unilocal allows business owners to pad the reviews of their business in thus way.

Awesome establishment! Donuts are top notch, original, and fresh. The bank building is a great setting! Jason(the owner) takes time to chat with my 5 year old son and always takes care of us. I highly recommend stopping by. Comics, toys, games, canvas art, donuts, juice, hot coffee, iced coffee, etc… it’s all there.

Just went here not too long ago and I’m huge on donuts, but these are pretty good due to the fact that they have lots of different flavors to try and they’re fresh. They are a little pricey, but I’d try them again sometime.

One of the coolest mash-ups I’ve encountered. A comic shop in a old bank building that… oh yeah… has gourmet donuts. I love this place: visually(comics and games in a vault), gastronomically(salted carmel/popcorn donut anyone? Yum!) and every other way there is. What a creative environment, what amazing donuts. Drop in, you won’t be sorry.

Donuts and comics, two things I love combined in one store. We stopped by on a busy Sunday morning to get some donuts and peruse the shop. We ordered several donuts to go. The double chocolate cake donut was hands down my favorite, great chocolate flavor. The Oreo was a yeast donuts with a somewhat firmer dough than your typical puffy, all air yeast dough. It was also very good. We also ordered the pumpkin donut. It really needed more pumpkin flavor. It was more like a good spiced donut. All the donuts are handmade, onsite daily. Yummy! If you are a big time comic book fan you will be disappointed with the selection. I personally like the way that the store tried to have a little bit of everything from collectibles to games to comics to t-shirts. They have a really cool coexist comic book logo t-shirt. I loved the store and the donuts! I will definitely return when I’m in the area. Excelsior!

We just had our wedding this past Saturday and we wanted donuts instead of a wedding cake. Our reception was held in Crown Point and we wanted to use someone local, unique, and most important of all, tasty. We spoke with Lynette at Chemshaw 13 about 4 months ago and had our donut«tasting» about a month before the wedding(the best day of my life — besides the wedding). I just wanted to say that the folks at Chemshaw were SO great to work with. Lynette was very open and accommodating. She planned everything with us and gave us so many choices. She arrived right on schedule on our wedding day and set up everything. Suffice to say, we only had 2 donuts left the next morning. Thank you Lynette and Jason for a great experience. — MK

YES! Highly Recommended. The donuts were delicious and are made in house! The store is comic related and very cool in side. Definitely will be going back. The staff was knowledgeable. The donuts are creative and fun. I had a Minion, the Homer, and a S’mores donut. Hands down the best donuts in town!!!11

Really cute place in downtown Crown Point. Can’t beat comic books, coffee, and donuts. What genius idea! The donuts were very good, can’t beat freshly made donuts. Almost too good, can’t stop with just one.

This place is so amazing, I don’t even know where to begin. I’m not from the area but I was in town visiting a friend and I decided to stop by and I’m just glad I did! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I also got the chance to meet the owners and they are total sweethearts! I just adore them to pieces. I’m not big on the comics book side but what I saw was pretty nice! They seem to have a lot of collectors items too. lets get to the food, the doughnuts are amazing! They are made fresh daily by the owners until they run out. You can have anything from red velvet doughnuts to birthday cake doughnuts to Oreo doughnuts(my favorite) to one with bacon!!! I had my hesitation about that one but it turned out to be delicious. It had the right balance of sweet and salty wrapped up in one bite! It’s too many doughnuts to name but I never met a doughnut that they made that I didn’t like. I am 99% sure that you would find something in here to love. By the way did I mention that the location use to be a bank so it actually has a real vault inside! Like how cool is that. Really cool. Anyway you got to try it for yourself. I’m sure you will love it.

I will never, ever eat another Dunkin Donut again in my life! No more film on the roof of my mouth after eating a preservative packed donut from Dunkin! Love that they change up the flavors of their donuts. My favorite is the Arnold Palmer!

Let’s just say I’ve never liked donuts my entire life. Then I tried the peanut butter one here and have become a donut person, addicted. Very fresh donuts, creative flavors, highly recommend!

Crown Point needed a place like this and I am happy that they finally got it. Had a terrific apple fritter and cup of coffee.(Intelligensia? Yes please!) Service was friendly and ambiance is great. Look forward to returning and if I still lived in CP I would be here every week.

Can you say Uh-may-zing!!! This place is better than the donut shops in the city! The creativity, and flavor is outstanding. My fav def has to be the bacon donut! Its not your normal cliché Dunkin this place has a great vibe and prices are not too bad either. I would come here everyday if it wasn’t far. The only problem is that they dont stay fresh too long. But great place!

This is exactly what Crown Point needed on the square! The ambiance of this little place is fantastic and speaks to my inner nerd. The doughnuts and other goodies are delicious and there is always something new to try. I especially love that the owner hails from my old hometown! That explains the friendly atmosphere. We have been here almost a dozen times since they opened and are always incredibly pleased. Great job!

Cool place, cool concept. Awesome donuts, lacking on the comics part though. Clean and fun décor inside, lots of comic book related novelties like shirts, mugs, posters and toys abound. I really liked the donuts I tried, the raspberry and the applewood smoked bacon long john were tasty. Almond bear claw was ok, little dry though… I did wait to eat it till the next morning though so *maybe* that’s why? There’s plenty more choices to try another time which I’m pretty stoked about, they all looked great but, my metabolism isn’t what it used to be so… moderation :( Comic books though… Meh, I’m not a big comic book fan but, selection wasn’t exactly that great. I mean, there’s a fairly large amount of My Little Pony as my wife pointed out but, no Star Trek? And even the ever popular Star Wars selection was mediocre at best. Plenty of comic book related items though. The mugs, posters, toys and other various trinkets are displayed throughout the place. If the selection improves I’d give em another star but, for now 3’s it. Go for the donuts but, don’t go expecting a comic book store experience as well.

I really really really wanted to love this place… Service was good everyone was friendly and donuts were a little messy but good and that is why I gave two stars. The comic book selection… ugh gag me with a bullet my little pony everywhere but not a single Star Trek comic?! Really?! And why is there no Star Trek you ask? Fantastic question! Because Jesus take the wheel the owner doesn’t effing like Star Trek –_– if you want to consider yourself a comic book store I highly recommend adding a bit of variety!

Yum yum yum… Awesome!!! Delicious freshly made donuts!!! And let me add donuts are very creative like the comic books that are sold there as well! I know I will be back because theres so many other donuts to choose from! I had the Circus Circus it was amazing. Sprinkles, frosting, marshmallows and frosted animal crackers on a donut! When I was leaving they busted out some fresh S’mores donuts they were hard to resist but gives me a reason to come out again. They sell drinks as well too :) Did I mention the comic book selection too!!! Check it out if you’re in the area… Totally worth it!
