Great food. Atrocious service. Ordering carry out takes an eternity. Having a sandwich made should not take 30+ minutes.

Went to dinner at Carriage Court Pizza on Saturday night. Since moving to Crown Point from NY we have been in search of a good pizza place. While this is no NY pizza it was good. We had the bread bites for an appetizer and they were really good. We also ordered a large pie with half sausage and half pepperoni. Pizza was good and had a ton of toppings on it. The service was good and the food was brought out fast. We will be returning here again to eat.

Great carry out and delivery. Great specials and it gets to you fast. The food is always hot and quality is always on point. Only complaint is that dine in service can be a little slow, but there is a great beer selection to pass the time.

Nice people. Nice atmosphere for a small place but cold/drafty in the winter. Good garlic bread. Slow service. Good beer(Warlock). Bad burgers(frozen Walmart grillers). Good cole slaw. Overall I would go again for beer & appetizers only. I might try the pizza instead.

Recommend the Hawaiian pizza, taco pizza, and chef salad. Been eating their pizza forever! Also enjoy trying the various beers from the attached frown brewing and picking up a growler to go.

Pizza was pretty good. Nothing special. Beer was good though. I would go back but not have the pizza next time.

Came here with both of my parents for dinner on a Monday evening. Was excited to try out Crown Brewing’s beer — which was tasty — and was hungry for pizza that was being served from Carriage Court. Unfortunately, the food service was extra slow. We ordered the boneless wings and a soft pretzel with cheese for appetizers and my parents and I each ordered a 10″ pizza at the same time(Hawaiian and Fred’s Favorite). The waitress was kind and got us refills, but she also had to make a lot of excuses for the slow kitchen — which were more irritating than helpful. 45 minutes after we ordered, the six boneless wings arrived lukewarm(as if they had been sitting for a while). The pretzel was good and hot, but the cheese sauce was kind of bland and had some pieces of uncooked onion that I personally didn’t enjoy. The pizza(arriving shortly after the appetizers) was mediocre. The sauce and crust are pretty flavorless, but the cheese was tasty. I might come back to the area for the beer, but I definitely would eat something beforehand. The food wasn’t worth the wait.

I’ve been to Carriage Court many times over the past five years, or at least ever since Crown Brewing has been attached to them. At first, I wasn’t a big fan of the food, but my friends and I have always received good service. We generally have at least six and sometimes as many as twelve folks in our party and the servers have been both friendly and efficient. A couple weeks ago, 10 of us met up in the beer garden at Carriage Court for dinner. We had friendly and seamless service. Our beers kept on coming, the food came out hot. I have discovered that the pizza bread and the chicken sandwich are both good, so that is what I generally order. I want to add that the inside of the restaurant was packed that night, and our service was still very good. Looks like other reviewers have not had this experience and I wish I knew the name of our server, she was great.

The new toasted ravioli is my fav! Love the portobello cheese ones! The beef are good too! Service is always great and fast! Today the driver forgot my salad and apologized and brought it to me not 20 mins later. Low their pizzas too!

One of the WORST restaurant experiences I’ve ever had! Most rude waitress I have ever seen! I’m going to timestamp this review so that readers can understand how ridiculous my experience was at CCP tonight– 6:15PM — arrived with wife and two small kids, seated PROMPTLY 6:17PM — waitress arrived and took drink orders, we knew what appetizers we wanted and started to order and she literally turned her back and walked away 6:25pm — drinks arrived, finally ordered appetizers. By this time we had plenty time to look at menu, kids were excited about pizza, told her we were ready to order and again, she turned her back and walked away! 6:35pm — appetizers finally arrive, fries for the kids and some cheese sticks. We still had not ordered our food! She dropped off the appetizers as quickly as possible and walked away to another table to take a group picture of some people for a birthday party, rather than take our order! 6:44 pm– she FINALLY comes back to take our order after us having been seated almost 30 minutes! She refilled my drink with a new one and left my empty glass on the table. 7:00 pm — walks by, finally grabs my empty glass and tells us pizza is in and will be up soon. 7:10 pm — walks by again and says pizza is coming out soon. Kids are increasingly antsy by this point and want their pizza, we are running out of ways to entertain them. 7:15 — walks by again and announces pizza is coming soon, by this time I had finished my refill and she simply ignores it. 7:16pm — she drops off napkins, silverware, plates, this means pizza is coming shortly right??? 7:25pm — comes by and tells me that it will be up «any minute» in her words. 7:30pm — still no food but we are told again that it’s coming. By this time we are through. I have two kids under 5 that are hungry and were promised pizza! Wife and I decide to simply get up and leave, go to the counter and pay for our appetizers. 7:35 — as we get to the counter, they walk out with our pizza. Wife goes to tell her that we’ve been waiting for over an hour and 15 minutes and we are just leaving but will pay for our appetizers. Waitress looks at my wife and says, rudely, in front of at least 3 other tables in earshot, «You waited 46 minutes!» My wife explained that, no, you seated us at 6:15, took 30 minutes to take our order, and then 46 minutes on top of that! Her reply to this was, «well, I GUESS I won’t charge you for appetizers.» We had no problem paying for them though since we ate them, and said that we would. She was rude again, still no apology, and told us to follow her to her computer to pay. I followed the waitress up to her computer to pay for appetizers, obviously since we weren’t served, and she was so unapologetic and rude to my family I did not leave a tip, she looked at me and said, «CLASSY!» She then Waved her hand in my face and stormed through the kitchen door. At this point I asked for the manager and explained my experience to her– she was friendly, apologetic, and even offered the pizza on the house. By this time however I was so insulted that I didn’t even want it. I just told her that I would NEVER come to this place again and we left. I don’t care who you are, in this atmosphere you should always apologize to and empathize with the customer, and this waitress had the nerve to just blow us off and talk back to my wife! We stopped coming here a couple years ago because of service, and thought we’d give another try, sad to say it’s only gotten worse.

I’ve been here before but I had the lunch Buffett today. Avoid it unless you want to pay 42 bucks for a for family of four and have empty soup kettles and cold pizza Nothing really on it Most was cold. I’ve seen truck stops with better and warmer food. The place should be closed during the day but I suspect they cater to the drunks with the bar Pizza Hut is better for lunch.

I gave it a second try tonight, and for the second time became ill from the food. Everything tastes like oil, even if it’s not deep fried. Service is slow. I can’t even say stick with the pizza. There are WAY more options in NWI. It’s too bad Crown Brewing has to be associated with them; it’s likely the only thing keeping this place open.

All I can say is anyone who thinks blueberry flavored beer is ok, has to be the biggest dimbulb.ever. The pizza is the best in the area. Not everyone has the same taste as in wine. Sad how the nasty reviews seem to be from angry bitter and lonely people striving for attention.

Had dinner there last night. The waitress could have cared less. The manager was worse. My husband’s chicken tasted like fish and the manager’s comment was«it was changed(the oil).» Obviously not. The absolute worst part were the gnats. We spent the entire dinner swatting and smacking at gnats. This was INSIDE the restaurant. The manager didn’t seem too bothered by this either. Whoever wrote the review that it was great, is insane. I don’t know how this place stays open. Beer is good but it can’t keep a place open that has crappy food. Will never go back. There are way too many other good places in the Crown Point area to waste my time here.

Looking for a low key place to end our night, we decided to hit Carriage Court Pizza/Crown Brewery. What a huge mistake. The customer service we received was second only to the horrible food they provided. My friends and I ordered the Ultimate Nachos and 20 traditional(hot) chicken wings. What was brought to the table was the most pathetic excuse for nachos the world have has ever seen. You know those Nachos you buy for your kids, the ones in the little snack size packaged, the ones you keep in the fridge in the little square box with the cheese on the side? Those would have been a refreshing alternative! This was literally two or three huge pieces of Iceberg lettuce, a handful of bottom shelf tortilla chips, cold fake squeeze cheese, a few pathetic green peppers, and what appeared to be a ham based cilantro, strewn all over the top. What a huge let down. But when you’re starving you eat. Yeah I said starving, but now looking back on it, I should have just let the good lord take me. Those guys who write porn dialog put more effort into their product then Crown Brewing puts into their nachos. I’m willing to bet I could make a more acceptable nacho plate with items found in the refrigerator or any DUKEOFOIL store. Nachos so bad you would stop your mother-in-law from ordering. I have to add that the pictures of the nachos on the menu represented them well. Unfortunately someone else ordered the nachos for the table without looking at the picture. $ 13 for this Nacho abomination. The chicken wings were equally disgusting. These were the Richard Lewis of chicken wings. Pre-fryer drop I imagine they were covered in liver spots and psoriasis. The wings tasted like they had been drowned in the sauce and forgotten about for a fortnight or two. Completely saturated and sauce logged. I’ve read a great deal of the reviews of this place, that other have posted and can see that Carriage Court Pizza really needs to raise their customer service and appetizer game. I told the waitress that the nachos were disgusting and she seemed less than surprised. In fact she later told us that she, herself, «made» the nachos we were served. Maybe thats the problem. How about having kitchen staff make the food and wait staff do the serving. Also, the fruit flies were rude and wouldn’t stop crowding our table. I didn’t bother to complain because… well…it seemed obvious that NOONECARED. Crown Brewing’s Blueberry beer was great!

Pizza was just ok, that was it. Nothing to write home about. Honestly the pizza would have been a 3 star rating but the server really changed that. At our table there were two guys and me and my female friend. We sat at the booth like couples(we are) I sat next to my guy and she next to hers… The server(I kid you not) kept flirting with my guy. WTF!!! I mean it’s obvious that I’m his date. My female friend was floored too! My guy was oblivious and thought she was just being friendly. Everything she said to him however took a sexual tone. Like about the brewery next door that my guy inquired about«oh I’ll take you on an after hours private tour, I bet you are a thirsty guy!» Seriously? Since I’m the one with control of the finances… Who do you think left her a crappy tip? Hopefully they let that chick go. It’s been awhile since my visit and I was going to give them another go on the pizza but after reading reviews I think not.

Pizza was absolutely fantastic, even though the prices are bit high for a pizza place, the pizza does not disappoint.
