Great pizza! The people who work here are very nice. This became my go-to for pizza since we moved in the neighborhood.

It’s pretty sad when you have to drive almost an hour to get good Italian food… we drive up from Queens to Pronto twice a month… the food is outstanding… my favorite is the chicken parmesan, while my wife really loves the spaghetti carbonara… well worth the trip

Let me start by saying I never review places on Unilocal.I moved to croton about a year ago, and this has become one of my favorite places, probably ever. I eat in and take out from pronto at least once a week, and so far I’ve never been let down. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and I cannot find something I don’t like. Some of my favorites are the white pizza, buffalo chicken roll and penne vodka. Don’t even get me started on the garlic knots. I’ve never seen any pizza place ever make garlic knots like that, they are really something special. Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know how much I love this place and why you should definitely make this a «must»!

Well, I don’t know what the food tastes like, because I never got a chance to order because me and my family walked out… Scenario: My wife and I were brining our boys to «The Blaze» in town on 10 October and we found this place on Unilocal!to stop for dinner beforehand. It was conveniently located in a «Strip Mall» next to the parking area for the Blaze, so why not? Again, this place is a «Strip Mall Pizza joint.» So, we got there about 4:30−4:40(and our tickets were for 6:30 for the Blaze), which left us plenty of time to eat. When we walked in, we were greeted promptly by the hostess who asked us if we had a reservation and if we were going to be attending«The Blaze». Weird to be asked if we were attending an event… We said no to the reservation, but yes to The Blaze. Didn’t think nothing of it. So, the hostess, who’s looking puzzled, sat us and gave us our menu’s… As we were walking to our table, I overheard a person from another table ask the hostess, «What kind of menu’s are those? They are different then ours…». The hostess said, «they are the menu’s for people who will be attending The Blaze tonight…» I thought that was weird, but still didn’t think nothing of it. So, we sat down, looked over the«very small menu» and thought about our order… Now, what that lady said, got to me. I asked my wife to bring up the menu on her phone, and when she did, we were surprised to see that the menu items on «The Blaze» menu were 2 – 4 bucks more than their regular menu had!!! I was like, are you kidding me??? So, with that knowledge, I asked our server for their regular menu, in which she replied to me, «No, I’m sorry, that is the menu for patron’s who will be attending The Blaze tonight…» I replied back, «Well, I don’t want to order off this menu and be charged more for attending something. I want the regular menu.» She told me that she couldn’t and this is the menu we use to get people in and out fast and we’re understaffed, and we can’t back up the kitchen… Well, there may have been 3 other tables of people eating at this point, so it wasn’t busy, and ordering off the regular menu wouldn’t have backed up anything. So I asked to speak to the manager… She came back and told me he was at their other store… That was not good enough. I asked to speak to someone who can assist me… «Let me get the Pizza Guy…» The pizza guy? What’s he gonna do for me? After 5 minutes, we all walked out because it seemed that she wasn’t going to help us and I wasn’t going to be overcharged for anything. I even told a table as I walked out who had The Blaze menu, what they were doing. Bottom line: How DARE you raise prices on food because of some event happening? If you charge 13.95 for Chicken Parm, don’t charge 16.95 for the same meal because you’re attending something! That’s awful customer service. Lastly, my wife left a review of this place on here about 10 minutes after we left and went somewhere else for dinner, which was right up the road, and wanted to check their menu once more before doing so. Wouldn’t you know it, their website was down and their online menu wasn’t available. SHOCKER!!! You got caught and called out and you stoop as low as making your website unavailable. Lol… So, if you like this place and go on a night you’re planning on attending The Blaze, don’t tell them that, or your check will be 10 – 15 bucks more… Due to the customer service, or lack of it, I don’t recommend this place at all.

If you are going to the Blaze, do not eat here. They are jacking up their prices $ 2 – 4 per item! Chicken parm dinner on their Unilocal menu says $ 11.95. During the Blaze, it says $ 16.95!!! Price gouging at its finest. It’s a strip mall pizzeria, not fancy by any means. We walked out and we’re glad we did. Update: after writing this review today, I noticed their website is down. and menu no longer available thru Unilocal. That’s one way to hide their regular menu from Blaze visitors.

Pasta was good, wings weren’t bad either. Service was pretty slow. inattentive and forgetful Pizza was served warm/not hot. Not that great definitely canned sauce Tried the gluten free mozzarella sticks, they weren’t great. Also served warm, and they used some sort of corn flour which was dry and bland. My suggestion? Brown rice flour or gluten free panko breadcrumbs. «Italian pizzeria» was out of Peroni Beer… Wouldn’t go back. Was just OK.

I have to say, this is our Tuesday night thing after Croton Karate, I always have chicken piccata and it is always great. So nice to know this staple restaurant is consistent! Love it here! My kids do too!

If you want really great Italian food at reasonable prices, friendly staff, and wonderful, made on the premises bread go to Pronto Pizza in Croton on Hudson. We’ve been here twice now and this place does not disappoint. The spaghetti bolognese and chicken Francese were perfection.

Pizza is very good; just a small notch below NYC pizza. I bought their 16″ pizza pie in 2014 for $ 12(Monday and Tuesdays) and then there’s sales tax which made it closer to $ 13! In NYC, the ubiquitous pizza parlors include the tax in their stated prices. When I told the pizza maker I’m used to NYC pizza, he told me that 16″ pie would cost $ 20 in NYC! I don’t think so. In my old neighborhood, Greenpoint Brooklyn at Trianglo Pizza, I paid $ 16 flat for an 18″ pie! NYC pizza places have much higher volume so can charge less than those in the suburbs.

As the stars indicate – meh, I’ve experienced better. Most unpleasant to me was the heavy breading on everything, which was apparently stale, cheap, commercial canned bread crumbs. The food would have been much better if not for the overwhelming taste of those bread crumbs… yuck.

I’m a regular customer to this restaurant. I like the pizzas over here and it’s always ready to go for pick up. I like the dine as well. The customer service is also kind and polite.

Late night stop 10 minutes before closing. Tasty slices of spinach/garlic and chicken marsala(odd but good) even reheated. The waitstaff(the owner in this case) was very friendly. Tried it again a few nights later on a night when they were incredibly busy(an popular event was going on in the area) and they still managed to be gracious and accommodating owners. Hot out the oven pizza was great, and they have a good selection of salads and pastas.

My fiancé and I stopped by here because we were hungry and it was in the shopping center right next to the Jack o Lantern Blaze show. I was so happy to see that they sold pizza by the slice. The quick eating area is small but we were lucky and were able to sit. My fiancé ordered 2 grandmas and I ordered 1 sausage slice. They’re very generous with the slice size. Our total order came to $ 12 which was super cheap compared the places by us here in Queens. If you’re going to the blaze show definitely stop by here. The staff is super friendly and makes sure you get out of the door in time to get to your show.

It took 45 minutes for 4 salads. The waitress didn’t even ask what kind of dressing we would like and brought us all balsamic. One person at my table had to eat with a plastic fork because they ran out. They were all in the dish washer. Then 20 minutes later our pizza arrived, which was only marginally better then a frozen pizza. Cheap cheese. Dry, chalky crust. Do yourself a favor and go to the Shop Rite next door and get something from the deli.

This is my family’s default dinner spot for whenever we go to blaze, the pumpkin display down the road(which if you’ve never done before is a must). The food here is actually really great; it’s not fancy Italian but it offers typical dishes at great quality. The chicken parmesan wedge at only $ 8 is a bargain. It’s a large portion, the chicken parmesan itself is well-cooked and delicious, and the bread has a nice crisp exterior. The eggplant rollatini is also really tasty. I’m not a vegetarian but I wouldn’t mind ordering it over a meat dish at all. The cheese pizza was average, really nothing special but surely not a bad option to share a pie. The garlic bread was mediocre and I think they provide bread for the table so I wouldn’t bother ordering one. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable dinner experience!

This place is a gem. For me and my officemates, discovering this place today was definitely much welcomed. –Great brick-oven pizza by the slice, certainly the best we’ve had in the Croton-Ossining area. –Exceptionally warm and friendly staff –Very respectable beer and wine selection, you can also buy individual bottles of soda/water or 2-liters to share. –The place is really quite nice on the inside. Overall a truly excellent experience. We look forward to coming back here.

Pronto pizzeria and restaurant is truly a different pizzeria compared to all the other pizzerias in westchester county. I never leave here unsatisfied, its always been a great experience. I’ve never encountered such uplifting, warm hearted people, from the staff to the owner. Adil and his family goes out of their way in providing beautifully made pizzas that just warms you up just as much as the warm hearted atmosphere they share at Pronto. Each visit has been nothing but pure pleasure, as Pronto’s Chicken bacon ranch pizza has always been superb. On addition, this place has the best zeppoles in town, the dough is just right from their brick oven, and the powder sugar and dough just falls perfectly in place. However, there is a reason why I drive over 2 towns just to get pizza here. The owner Adil, and his family are very friendly and generous with their customers. Whether its a family dinner, a first date, or just something to pickup, my heart will always take me to Pronto’s! –Zeppole guy =)

I have ordered from Pronto Pizzera MANY times so I have a solid sample of experiences from which to draw(take-out and delivery specifically) PROS: — Great Pizza(Best in Croton and surrounding delivery area) — Made Exactly to «picky» and specific specifications(extra points for that) — Consistent and Uniform Pizza(very important) — Fired in a brick oven(awesome crust) — Fast Delivery(30 minutes or less within Croton(typically)) — Food is ALWAYS hot upon delivery and drinks cold — Fair Prices(Especially on personal pies) — Large Menu(There’s something for everyone) — Definitely«Kid-Friendly» Menu and Customization options(for«picky» eaters — like me) — Fantastic customer service(see below, LAST paragraph) — Friendly Staff — Clean Facility(from what I could tell) — Dine-in option with proper restaurant quality tables — Oh, and they look they have some very appetizing deserts(I haven’t tried them yet, but I’m sure they’re great, chocolate cake, etc.) CONS: — None that I can think of at the moment… — I’m not sure why anyone is scoring Pronto less than 3 stars, especially for reviews based on ONE time experiences. ADDITIONALINFO: — Prices can quickly rise with toppings and they are generally higher than your«average» pizza-parlor, although, with that said, you get what you pay for, so I can’t consider price a «negative.» I’d rather pay more and be satisfied than the alternative! — I have yet to properly dine-in so I CANNOT in good-faith recommend or dissuade anyone from doing so, HOWEVER, I’m almost certain its a great experience(I’ll revise my review if/when I dine-in). ORDERINGADVICE: — I would suggest ordering a personal pie instead of having a slice or two reheated, the benefits should be self-evident and it only takes a miniscule amount of extra time, plus it tastes better AND you can have it fired exactly the way you want. — You can even visually inspect the pizza right out of the oven to ensure onsite satisfaction… if you so desire(and ask… obviously). — If you want something very specific or cooked a particular way, it can be done over the phone for delivery/pickup, but I would suggest ordering in person for best results(not that I’ve really had any issues). OVERALLREVIEW: Fantastic pizza! Hands down the best and most consistent pizza in Croton-on-Hudson without a doubt. All of the ingredients are delicious and high quality. The crust achieves a good balance between crispiness and warm-and-fluffy. I typically order a personal or small pie and specify«light-cheese» and«light-peperoni» which is made perfectly every time I order whether it’s take-out or delivery. Additionally, delivery times(within Croton) are almost always within 30 minutes(often less). Obviously, times will vary depending on what you order, how much you order and what time you order, yet some people aren’t realistic about certain dining aspects that should be readily apparent. Mistakes are made at ANY restaurant. Unfortunately, Pronto did forget to deliver ONE of my orders forcing me to call to make an inquiry after an hour of waiting… HOWEVER, the problem with immediately taken care of over the phone and I had a hot, fresh, pie at my door within 15 minutes along with a Gift Certificate(no expiration) for more than the original cost of my meal. Its quite obvious Pronto Pizzeria was and is keen to make a good impression, but they didn’t, instead they made an EXCELLENT impression. Wonderful customer service.
