Nothing beats a trip to the races, this one goes to the dogs though. Watching the graceful strides of the beautiful Greyhounds chasing the rabbit is something everyone should experience at least once. The animals are well taken care of and it shows with their playful nature before and after each race. It’s nice just sitting back and letting a few bucks ride on your favorite pooch and they always have a nice program to gauge each animal’s abilities. The viewing area is excellent and no matter where you’re standing you’ll have a grand view of the track. It’s not expensive either, whether you’re getting food or betting, you can really have a good time here even on a budget.

my one night in west virginia was spent at the dog races. and it was awesome.
west virginia had to be the state that Deliverance was filmed in. Had to be. That or arkansas.
ate at the main restaurant overlooking the track and had a great chicken fried steak + gravy.
