Stephanie has since moved on so I’ve been seeing Vanessa who is the best!!! I’m thrilled coming here, the service is outstanding and friendly. Highly recommend!!!

I’ve been coming to this salon for a couple years now & I have stellar service every single time! I regularly see Vanessa for waxing & Courtney for haircuts — both ladies are PHENOMENAL, along with the entire staff! Everyone is so welcoming & personable! I love this salon!

Just got my hair cut today by Gosia and I am so thrilled! I almost got emotional about it. See, I have curly hair and it is so hard to find someone who knows what they are doing. I just moved to Connecticut and the first salon I tried, I walked out of there feeling horrible with a terrible cut. But today I walked out feeling great! I love my hair cut and Gosia, who is the owner, is smart and so nice and had lots of great advice for me about my hair. A reliable hair expert is one of those things that you don’t realize how much you want until you don’t have it anymore. I highly recommend this salon, especially to other curly-​heads!

I found the salon via Unilocal.I recently moved and was looking for a good place for a Brazilian.
Called Green Lotus to set up an appointment and my schedule was easily accommodated. The instant you walk in the door you feel «zen». The salon is beautiful. Very tastefully decorated and smells like aromatherapy products. Very relaxing.
Vanessa does the body waxing and she is the bomb! To make a Brazilian a pleasant experience takes some real skill and she’s definitely got it. I work in the medical field so sanitation and cleanliness are VERY important to me. She has impeccable hygiene practices.
I have been about 5 times for waxes and I am never disappointed in the salon or the service. Really wonderful experience. I highly recommend Green Lotus!

I usually do not write reviews but the awesome, neat work done by Kristy must be appreciated. I had real long thick hair and she turned my hair into classy stylish looking. Added layers and got face framing. I love my haircut. I have never been so satisfied with my haircuts. Kristy is talented, good listener and has loads of patience. She also gives good massages while shampooing hair. The receptionist is so warm and welcoming and it’s always nice to see people with smiles.

I had the best brazilian wax experience here with Vanessa. Vanessa is a professional and it shows. They use something called hard wax here and it’s much less painful and removes more hair than soft wax. This is the first time I booked another waxing appointment before I left the salon because I am 100% sure I only want my brazilians done here from now on. I am looking forward to checking out their other services.

My in-​laws live in CT but I live just outside Boston, you’d think I’d be able to find a wax salon I love outside the city, but that is not the case. I can’t find a place that uses the hard wax and has the customer service of Green Lotus. Luckily, I’m in CT enough to not go too long between appointments. Vanessa is the only person I’ve seen and she is great!

I’m glad I found this place. It’s spacious, clean, friendly, and extremely professional.
I can say it’s one of the best Brazilian jobs I’ve ever had. Definitely will be coming back.

First Brazilian ever and I had a great experience. Staff was welcoming and professional — the space was beautiful, clean and spacious. My esthetician was Stephanie and she was awesome, answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable. I’ll definitely go back. They use hard wax which I’ve learned is the best for your skin vs. ripping a strip off. I can’t say it wasn’t somewhat painful at some points (I mean, you are getting hair ripped from your lady bits and all) but it was well worth it. I can’t imagine going elsewhere. It’s worth your trip.

I had my hair cut and colored by Kristy. I must say, for someone who is young in age, she is very advanced in her talent! She is meticulous, patient, kind, and a real perfectionist. I always felt cared for and in very competent hands. Khristy took her time, explained everything to me as she proceeded, and made sure that I was comfortable. Oh… and she gives the BEST head massages! :-)
The salon itself is gorgeous and you can definitely tell that they are 100% green. The prices are industry-​standard, and the overall service seemed genuine.
I will definitely be back!

I typically leave every hair salon feeling like I didn’t get exactly what I wanted, but I’m so happy with my experience at Green Lotus that I signed up for Unilocal just so I could leave a positive review!
Going to a cruelty-​free salon is important to me, and Green Lotus takes that commitment seriously without overcharging for it. I loved the highlights, my cut, and got the best blow-​dry style I’ve ever had. My stylist even helped show me some techniques to do on my own.
I highly recommend cruelty-​free salons, especially this one!

I am fairly new to the Connecticut area. I wanted to get a bikini/​brazilian wax as an early birthday gift for my husband, so of course I looked to Unilocal for suggestions.
The first place I found was in MIddletown, not very far from me. I called them yesterday hoping for a Wednesday time-​slot. After about 20 minutes (well it felt like 20 minutes), the person on the other end couldn’t get me an appointment until about 2 weeks from then. Really? 2 weeks? They only had 1 aesthetician there.
So I went back to Unilocal and found Green Lotus Salon. They didn’t get many reviews (and yes, I looked at the filtered ones too), but the reviews they had were favorable. What I really liked was their environmentally friendly products. I knew I had found a winner. I called them and spoke with a really nice woman (forget her name) and she told me they had an open slot for 6pm that evening — I was really excited that I didn’t have to wait 2 weeks! She even told me how to get there knowing I was new to the area.
Being horrible with directions I had some difficulty getting there. I even had to call them to find out where exactly they were. If you pay attention to the area, you will find it no problem. Needless to say, I was about 7 minutes late for my appointment. No worries, Emily (one of the owners) greeted me with a smile and offered me a beverage. I then met Vanessa my aesthetician who was also very friendly and welcoming.
I got into my private room and got situated. I was pretty nervous about the appointment and stressed that I was late, but Vanessa put me at ease. They only use hard wax at the salon which made the appointment hurt a lot less :) And Vanessa was really helpful in telling me what to do and when to expect a little pain. She was incredibly professional and we had a wonderful conversation. Her educational background and excitement about going to new salon workshops was really impressive.
The appointment took less than an hour and was your typical cost for a waxing ($ 50) which was amazing for a «green» salon. Vanessa also gave me a tour of the place and it looked amazing inside.
I will definitely be back to Green Lotus for another wax. Or maybe I will get my hair done, or get a massage, or a couple’s massage (yep, they do those). What a great place!

i found this salon after moving to ct and looking for a place to get my brows waxed. i feel very lucky to have found vanessa! when i called to get more information, i spoke with emily and she was very helpful. she was also very welcoming when i arrived.
as for vanessa, i was super nervous about finding a new salon and working with someone new. well groomed brows mean more to me than they should;) she used hard wax, which i had never tried before. it was painless, which i never thought i would say. i’m very particular about my brows and she listened to what i had to say and showed me everything that she did before she did it to ensure that i was satisfied. i am very happy with the end result and plan to see her as long as i’m in connecticut.
the salon is bright, modern, open and very inviting. they also offer massage services and reiki. i am very excited to have found them and highly recommend them for waxing.

Great Salon — Great People. Can’t say enough about Gosha, Emily and Cat. A very relaxing envirnoment and fantastic products. A different and improved experience from other salons in the area.

I love that this salon is completely green (environmentally friendly) — the atmosphere is calming, yet upbeat and positive. I had my eyebrows waxed and shaped by Cat, who is just fabulous! Her attention to detail was really above and beyond. (Her perfectionist tendencies are ideal in an esthetician!) The prices are so reasonable. I’ll be getting my hair cut (and maybe a pedi!) soon!
