AMC Dine-in Theatres West Olive 16

This was our first time at a fine in theater. We got there early so we could order our food before the movie. It took a half an hour to get a person to take our order. Finally we ordered and it took 45 min to get food. By the time we got it it was cold. I have no silverware so it took another 15 min to get that. Very expensive night for crappy food. .I will never go there again.

While we have been here numerous times both before and after the conversion, after this last trip we will never return. This is the dirtiest most poorly run restaurant or theater I have ever visited. My wife and I visited a number of years ago right after the conversion to the new concept and were like okay we get this, this is alright. It was kind of like a theater were they served Applebee’s quality food to your seat, kinda cool and different. My daughter and I saw Frozen here about two years ago with similar feelings. I took the family to see the new Kung-​Fu Panda this weekend and will never return. First the place is literally filthy and when I say that I mean stick to you seat, walk through trash, want to puke filthy. There were dirty dishes everywhere and no one working seemed to care a bit as we saw many many employees standing around checking phones and chatting and doing anything but WORKING!!! The food was mediocre at best and as I said I didn’t expect much more but with tickets and no drinks this evening for four ran about $ 150, quite a lot of money for what we received. As I said we will never return and I advise you to do the same unless a movie and food poisoning is your idea of a fun Saturday night.

We used to love going to this theater. Then they changed their menu. We LOVED the Thai shrimp appetizer they used to have and now they took that off the menu. The new food isn’t very good and the service is HORRIBLE.
The last several times we have gone we had to remind them about our order. And at one visit-​the food NEVER showed up. The last time we tried to go, our food showed up before our drinks and we are our entire meal with nothing to drink.
Management really needs to get this place back to where it used to be. We won’t be visiting again any time soon.

Booked tickets for Hail Cesar and picked mid-​high seats based on theater 5 that was shown. Ended seated low front right after movie was changed to theater 1. Asked staff for an explanation, worst customer service. Wouldn’t look us in the eyes and didn’t offer options to be reseated. I’m all for paying a premium for picking my seats ahead of time but this does it. There’s no accountability from the theater’s end and shows poorly for their brand. Not sure we’ll be back again,

I used to love going to this place but now I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Went there to watch the new Leo movie and ordered drinks (1 adult beverage, water, and unsweetened tea) and some food. The adult beverage showed up within 10 minutes… It took 90 minutes for the Tea and Water to arrive. The food actually beat it out. I understand being busy but either hire more staff or fix your process. Thankfully it was a longer movie so I was able to drink them without guzzling them.
Also in Theater 16, there is a small defect on the screen that made it look like there was a shooting star in every scene. Normally not a big deal but when you are watching a movie that has the cinematography of this movie having a screen that doesn’t change it is important. I wasn’t the only person to notice this defect with the screen. Please repair this.
I’m sorry to say I won’t be attending any more movies at this theater until the reviews start getting better.

This place used to be great: a (mostly) kid freeze zone to enjoy a show on the big screen, and a decent enough meal. Lately, both food and service have become questionable at best. Make no mistake, in St. Louis they have some of the most comfortable spacious seats, and you can reserve your seat online before heading to the theatre. The food has become sub-​par, even for the elevated theatre price ($ 8.99 for pop corn), but the service is even worse. More than once an entire theatre full of people are still sitting in their chairs after the lights come back on because nobody has received their bill. I do think the servers try, and after speaking with the management team, the servers are expected to cover more consecutive theatre patrons then in the past. For the standard movie night, it’s a great seat and an unusually considerate adult crowd, but for a meal, you may want to eat elsewhere first. If you do get stuck waiting for a bill, go to the customer service counter up front for a faster resolution.

I came here with friends and family over the Christmas holiday to watch the new Star Wars. We will definitely return. Ticket prices were very reasonable as were most of the actual food and drink prices… theater items like popcorn and soda excluded. Reserved seating was appreciated and very comfortable.

went to a show thur afternoon kiosk had 4 seats open to buy? theater half full for the show? Tried to go Fri for a show was told it was sold out at the counter seemed odd! Sat went online to get tickets for QTs new movie all sold out but handicap seats bought 2 and again show had 22 empty seat for the show??? Must be understaffed and not selling tickets to make up for it! had to ask for a fork, katchup and salt and pepper at both show? They also now put very little ice in drinks in hopes to not return for a refill, piss poor service at best when just a year ago it was 5star every time!

It makes me sad to be unable to give the place 5 stars. When it first opened a couple of years ago, I couldn’t tell enough people about it. The movies and location are great and I’m embarrassed to say, my husband and I spent over $ 5k with AMC since we got our Stubs card, mostly because of this place. Yeah, we are hard core movie fans.
The problem is they now seem so consistently understaffed that each time we go, our simple orders (drinks and popcorn) often take 30 – 45 minutes and one or more reminders to get. That kinda defeats the purpose of paying extra to go to a dine-​in theatre. In addition, it is rare anymore to find an unsticky seat, 3-​D glasses you need for the show, or utensils. Two of the last three visits they had to adjust the ticket because they rang it up incorrectly.
I hope management pays attention to Unilocal reviews and in-​person comments from someone who would choose to drop $ 100+ there once a week, if she knew she could have a good experience, and that they make some much-​needed improvements. Otherwise, we will take our money to Landmark.

Went to see Creed, the movie was the best Rocky movie since the original. However the dining in-​theater sucked!!! One size available on popcorn $ 8 that wasn’t even warm, one size on sodas medium $ 4.50 and they charge for refills. Usually movie tickets for two $ 35 – 40 and refreshments another $ 20 tonight another $ 45. This sucked!!! The seats aren’t even comfortable to hold your significant other like regular seats. Interruptions multiple times during the movie that wasn’t really dark. I might as well have been in my living room, then I could at least pause when I went to the restroom. The seats weren’t optimal because you have to pick ahead then the seats I would have picked were empty till 20 minutes into the movie. I’m not doing this again!!!

One of my favorite places for a night out, but it seams to be more hit or miss lately. Went in to see a new film and the theater room 8 was still dirty. Popcorn on the floor and many of the seats. And its not because the cleaning crew is over taxes, 5 of the cleaning crew was outside the room chating while the customer was let into a lackluster room. I hope to see this location to do well in the future but unless its keep to a higher standard im unsure.

Horrible service. Been here about 6 times and 5 out of the six the server either messed the food order up, gave the wrong food and drinks to the wrong people, or was some sort of mix up. Today we only ordered popcorn and drinks. We ordered before everyone else did. Popcorn came 30 minutes after the movie started and the drinks came an hour and 15 minutes after the movie started and they still charged us. Not to mention when you are trying to watch a movie explaining all this and telling the server makes you miss part of the movie. This place either needs to train their staff correctly and or hire people that pay attention. Seats are way comfortable. Thats the positive.

I must admit, I’m now addicted to movie theaters where I can dine in and enjoy a great movie. I’ve tried a few in the St. Louis now and I’ve got to admit this one, from a service perspective, was the WORST!!! Now in all fairness, the food was good. I had the royal burger which was great but the service was horrible. It took forever. We had to wait 40 minutes to get silverware and another 15 minutes for our soft drinks. And to top it off, they brought the bill at the END of the movie which means that everyone had to wait in line to pay. The staff didn’t seem to mind that there was a LINE of angry patrons. I’m pretty sure I won’t be visiting this venue again. The wait staff was disinterested in ensuring their customers had a positive experience.

My hubby and I went to this theatre last week to see Hunger Games and had a wonderful evening! When we were buying tickets at the front desk, I was quite surprised when they asked me to select our seats for the movie. The lady explained that that’s always the case for their dine-​in theaters. Dine-​in?! I had no idea that was a thing here! And I’ve never been to one before! What a surprise and so fun to try something new!
We had the theatre to ourselves for the most part. I think there was one other couple way in the back row. We chose to sit in the third row of the upper level and these seats were perfect! I wouldn’t recommend sitting int he first or second row of this section as they way they are arranged might now allow for the very best view.
The seats were pretty big, red (p)leather and could rock back.
We paged through the menu and decided to start by splitting a chicken sandwich with a side of fries. The food arrived before the movie even started. We gobbled it up despite the fact that it was nothing special and rather flavorless.
A bit into movie, we got the munchies and placed another order. This time for the Loaded Tater Tots. What a good decision!!! This dish was bursting with flavor! The house-​made ranch and the cheese sauce punches you with flavor! My only very minor complaint is that I wished the tots had been cooked longer to get them nice a crunchy. All the sauces made them very soft.
We had a great evening with decent service and comfortable seats! I know we’ll go back again soon!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Usually I have really nice things to say and find the positive in every situation, however I have nothing nice to say about this place. I actually physically left in tears.
The concept is cool, and maybe if it was executed better it would be as cool of an experience as the concept is. I went with my whole family for a thanksgiving movie, and reserved seats in the cinema suites theater with the reclining chairs.
Upon sitting down, we waited about 20 minutes (after the movie started) till someone came to take our order. I ordered the Mac and Cheese and specifically asked for no meat and no bacon bits. Actually I’m positive I said it twice. The food came half way through the movie, and there were theater waiters running around and talking the whole entire time. It’s really hard to focus on the movie when people are running around talking loudly all around you.
The theater is dark the entire time so there’s no light to look at your food, which is weird but understandable because it’s a movie theater — too much light is distracting. I started to eat the Mac and Cheese and within three bites I noticed that there was bacon in it. Not only did I tell him that I wanted no meat, but I told him TWO times. I don’t eat meat and I don’t eat pork for religious reasons so when I realized what I ate I was beyond upset.
I walked out after the movie feeling awful and asked for a manager. The manager said they were sorry «it’s dark in the theater» and told me they would comp my Mac and Cheese but like that’s a stupid excuse because it’s not dark in the kitchen.
Anyway, the movie was distracting, they aren’t capable of delivering good service or good food. Forget going here if you have allergies or food restrictions.

Bottom Line up Front: For a person like me who generally prefers to skip the crowds, hassle, and cost associated with going to the movies… this is a solid choice for a special occasion.
The good. It’s REALLY good:
1. Reserved seating — no worries about coming in close to movie time and sitting in the front row
2. No kids — no explanation needed for this one
3. Nice, big, comfy leather seats. Teen 2 was so comfortable she fell asleep in the movie
4. Plenty of room in general — room to walk between rows, room between seats
5. Teen 2 and Friend declared that their S’mores milkshakes were delicious
The bad:
1. The lights between the seats stay on during the movie. I propped the menus up against ours so it wouldn’t be as bad but it was still too light for my taste
2. Service was meh. Once we pushed the button and watched every server but ours take a lap through the theater before ours finally turned up. I kept thinking one of them was going to help us, but they just didn’t. Also, they deliver (and collect) the bills well before the end of the movie. I guess I didn’t want anything else…
The ugly:
1. Of the four people in the row in front of us, three were on their phones during the movie. The lady in front of Teen 1 was actually recording the movie with her cellphone, and the two millennials in front of Teen 2 and Friend were checking email and playing games. Technically, this was not the theater’s fault, but there’s no way the servers could have missed it and nothing was said. I guess this is what you get when there are no ushers and the attendants work for tips.
2. Prices were staggering. I spent $ 80 for 4 people (1 military and 3 students; I mention this because other places have discounted tickets). What we got for $ 80: 4 tickets ($ 42)/ convenience fees ($ 6!), 2 milkshakes ($ 16!), and a bucket of popcorn ($ 8!). And a $ 5 tip for mediocre service.

A LOT of great features here! GREAT seating. Your seats are reserved with the purchase of your tickets so no worry about getting there early to find the best seat. The seats are big, comfy leather recliners. Each seat has its own movable tray table. Plenty of leg room and plenty of places to set your drinks and food. YES I said food. Real food too! I ordered the BBQ Chicken sandwich and fries and a Blue Moon beer and a water before the movie started. It came out still before the movie started. It was good, not great. Chicken was thin and a tad dry. The fries were pretty decent — good taste and crisp. They did lack in getting us silverware. And we had to ask a couple times for my friend to get her water. But overall a very pleasant way to watch a movie. Would I order food there again? Probably not, I still think popcorn is the way to go when watching a movie.
There were a couple of drawbacks I noticed. The staff were nice but not very smiley or welcoming. The bartender at the bar was nice but not super attentive.
But all in all, for $ 12 to see a movie and have the option to dine in at your seat? TOTALLY worth it!

At first I thought the dine in feature would be kind of cool but it became distracting. Within the first 10 to 15 minutes of the movie people were eating their food and this was two hours before we were to go out to dinner so I was a little bit hungry and the delicious smells made me hungry but I refuse to order what I consider to be fast food. And then there’s the squeaky chairs; they sort of rock but the springs either need some grease or need replacing because anytime someone moved in their seat it was disruptive. There are several bright lights at your seat and you have to put a menu over them because there’s no off switch during the movie. The quality of the movie and the sound effects were awesome.

Man on man a rare 1-​star review. Just stopped in pre-​turkey day to see Creed (great flick!). The plus is they have a great selection of drinks… coronas, ketel, mixers, lots of stuff. I was surprised by that. The seats in the VIP lounge (adults only, they bring you food, etc to your seat) are comfy too. The REALLY bad though, service is sooooooo slow and the food is just flat out disgusting. We were told the friers were down which meant they only had a couple options for food and the restaurant was really backed up. Like over an hour backed up. Yet they brought fries and tots out… don’t those need fried?! Also, how about a lime with my corona, sorry out. K, how about some lemons for my ice pic… sorry, out. What’s up the citrus hate’n?! Push the little call button and they will mosey on up to your seat when they feel like it… yet there is a ton of servers meandering around like slow moving zombies distracting you from the film. I just kept wondering who they were serving. And you know it’s pricey, of course it is. After the film we hit their little bar and SURPRISE they had plenty of lemons/​limes. Lies, likes, lies. If you hate your job go somewhere else. This place needs some good management and maybe they could turn it around.

I’ve seen four movies here and eaten three meals here. Recently the menu changed a bit but nothing is really different. The food is all the same as you could get from the frozen aisle of a grocery store or from the Burger King down the street except it costs three times as much. The drinks are twice as expensive as they are at Buffalo Wild Wings next door. The tables are sticky and so are the armrests between the chairs. I’ll be eating somewhere else and seeing movies somewhere else from now on.

The seats are amazing — nice, comfortable leather that recline far back. This is a dining theater and the food is decent, but overpriced. The system that is in place for serving the food is slow. They bring your food first and a long time after, you finally get your drinks. I don’t like that. I also have had two experiences here when my order and bill were wrong. That is extra annoying because the check comes at the end of the movie (the climax) and you’re trying to enjoy the movie and can’t because you have to quietly argue about your bill. It’s the worst! I don’t come here often because of this.

So, I am having to give this establishment two stars.
It was the day before my birthday and I had a gift card to come see a movie. So, why not go see a movie?
My friend said that he prefers this joint rather than the other theaters around town. Less kids and less stress.
I thought the nice cushioned chairs were a plus. I thought that the inside was beautiful and was well decorated and appointed.
However, this place has a huge customer service problem.
We just ordered beverages for the two of us. We were there way before other people. The people who ordered after us got their food and drinks before us. Per my friend, this has been reoccurring many times before.
I think we got our drinks 20 minutes after the film started. When I left to use the restroom, I encountered a gaggle of employees that were talking and they paused when I saw them. Meaning that I overhead something that they were not supposed to be saying.
I paid $ 5 for my drink but they didn’t offer refills either.
I don’t think I will be coming back.

Why do dinner and a movie in 2 places when they combine the 2 so well here?
I enjoyed my experience here. They have a great atmosphere and great service. You can sit in your theater 30 min prior to the movie and then order your food. A server comes straight to your seats like at a restaurant and takes drink and food orders. They have a good drink menu and selection for beer, wine, and cocktails.
I ordered the Cajun Mac bowl and it was very delicious! Just the right balance of sausage and shrimp though it could have used more peppers. My husband ordered the cob salad and Mediterranean Mac. He liked the salad but did not like the Mac because he said the feta cheese chunks did not taste right.

This is a dine-​in theater with big, comfy reclining seats (if you end up in one). I did notice during Avengers: Age of Ultron that they have smaller theaters with bigger chairs that do not recline. I ended up in one because I did not want to watch the movie in 3D and it was also less crowded. My first experience here was with the big comfy, reclining chair though and it was so comfortable that I almost fell asleep during the trailers (it was late and I do go to bed early). Anyway, they have quite a selection of wine, cocktails, and beer to start with then there’s the appetizers which include a good variety of items such as their Thai bang shrimp, chicken wings, mozzarella, loaded potatoes skins, veggie dippers (if you want to be healthy and skip the dip), a good-​sized plate of appetizer samplers, and other goodies!
Their menu also have some main dishes to choose from. I opted for the Bistro Chicken Mac & Cheese served with a pretzel bread stick. It was pretty good but since I don’t like nor eat bread (99% of the time), I cannot tell you whether the bread stick was good or not. Among their other tempting selections were burgers, quesadillas, tacos, fresh salads, tenders and fish, sandwiches and wraps, some tenderloin, salmon, and shrimp main dishes, as well as pizzetas (made with flat bread). And for dessert, here are your choices: waffle sundae, brownie sundae, cinnamon apple crumble, and pizzeta smores.
Whenever you need something, all you have to do is press the attendant button and someone will come and take your order and a few minutes later, you get to enjoy whatever it is your heart desires.
My movie experiences here have always been excellent. The wait staff have always been so friendly and attentive. I would suggest buying your ticket early or buying it at home and printing it if you want particular seats or are going with a larger group since they do have assigned seats and you really don’t want to get there and have to break up your party because the remaining availabilities are scattered throughout the theater.
