Arcadian Gardens transformed our ho hum yard into a beautiful living space. John provided artistic insights that we could not see, and we now have a beautiful flagstone patio with multiple walkways that weave through the front and back yards. John was happy to help plan and suggest plants so that we could complete that part of the project ourselves. The workers were extremely polite, and their effort in the 100 °F heat amazed us. We wholeheartedly recommend this company!

Arcadian Gardens has done a number of large projects for us over the years and I can’t recommend the company too highly. John has a wealth of knowledge about native plants and a creative approach to problem solving. Our yard is everything I hoped it could be.

Knowing plants and being creative isn’t enough to be considered a good landscape architecht and to make me a satisfied customer. The landscaper’s employees smoked on my property, even though I told them not to, and left dozens of cigarette buttes all over my new landscaping. The landscaper started off nice, but his temper and lack of patience shined through increasingly as the project progressed. He snapped at me several times and then bullied me. Other problems included a cracked pipe that was never fixed, a non-​draining driveway, nails in the mulch, and a fertilizer injection tank that backed chemicals into my drinking water.
I wish I had checked the California Contractor Licensing Board before I hired this company. I also wish that I could recommend another landscaper in the Paso Robles area, but you’re better off doing the work yourself.
