Crested Butte Auto Repair

I had a great experience working with Bob and John at CB auto. Bob, who happened to be in when the shop was closed on a Sat, helped me out and ordered the parts I needed so that they could service my car on Monday. The price was very fair based on my comparative research. In addition, the work was excellent. These guys care about and stand behind their work and were wonderful to deal with!

Contrary to other reviewers I had a great experience with CB Auto Repair. We got two (!!!) flats late on the Saturday of July 4^th weekend and had to get towed to their shop. They were in on Sunday of the holiday weekend and took great care of us. As we had to leave to visit friends in another part of Colorado that day, this was a real life-​saver! Pricing was reasonable for their work and the folks at the store were professional and friendly.

CB auto was the absolute worst auto repair experience I have ever had in my entire life. I dropped my car off with them and received it back after 28 days. A week and a half after they had told me I would have the car back. I asked them for some consideration of the fact that they had taken a MONTH to complete the work on my car. They offered me what ammounted to a 4% discount, IF I SPENT ANOTHER $ 250 with them. Gee, thanks.
Then, when I called them out for taking so long, I got a call back from the owner accusing me of trying to play his staff member off of him. When I tried to interject, he kept speaking over me. I would never ever recommend CB auto to anyone, not even my worst enemy. Stay away from this awful shop. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE.
I have spoken with Co-​Workers who have told me about CB Auto charging them excessively for repairs, for oil changes, etc. They’ve also told me about how long CB Autos takes to get anything done. DO NOT GO HERE.
Finally, they refused to accept a credit card from me and asked for cash or a cashiers check.

I got way over charged here for a very minor tire service. The repair was done correctly but took too long and was about double what it should be. There are way better places around here.
Stay away.

went in today july 5^th with a flat tire to be repaired. expressed my urgency due to being a field scientist and needing to get back to sampling. took the tire in at 9 and the service tech looked well hungover (he was the only shop open) said that it might be done by 4 but to call at 2 and the fee would be $ 25. no hello, no welcome, no personal skills whatsoever. i called at 2 and was told it would be ready in 20 mins. i went in at 230 to be told that he needed another 30 mins. so at 315 i got my tire back. i asked he he would kindly swap out the repair and the spare back to their appropriate locations and was curtly told no. i asked to borrow a jack and did it my self in his parking lot. thanked him for the jack but received no response and left. most places this is a $ 10 at the most fix and done in 30 minutes. im sorry i wasted this guys time and mine. now reading further reviews i hope the repair holds when im 2 hours up a dirt road. only thing this place had going for it was that it was the only place open…
