Penn Station East Coast Subs

Terribly run location! Took 25 minutes to get our food. There were only 10 people in the entire restaurant! Not really sure what’s going on here, but it’s a hot mess

I love Penn Station but something is not right I this location. Today we went at 12:30 for lunch and were told «our computers are down, our fryer is broken and I have no employees. I’d love to serve you but it will be at least 25 minutes until I could serve you.» I know things happen but it’s consistently bad. The last time we went things were chopped differently than normal and the employees seemed like they were all on day one. I hope someone can come in and fix this location.

I generally enjoy Penn Station subs. I would regally visit the Hyde Park location in Cincinnati for lunch and they make the subs good and speedy nut my recent visit to the location off buttermilk left me extremely dissatisfied to the point that I am writingvthis email. First of all we had to wait over a half an hour to get two sandwiches. Then when we got our subs home and unwrapped them they were tiny. Usually fries and a 8 inch sub would fill me up but this sub hardly had any thing in it. I now have to go and get more food from somewhere else wasting even more of my time.

We were not greeted, young gentleman just stood at the register. He had a really hard time taking our order… He didn’t get my sandwich correct as I didn’t get any onions, peppers, or mushrooms. I also asked for extra meat, but didn’t get it. I wasn’t charged for the extra meat, so no biggie. He did, however, give me a cup for the drink he forgot to ring up after I told him my sandwich didn’t have the veggies after receiving our food. Really annoyed by the total lack of service and blatant unprofessionalism. I know it’s just a sandwich shop, but please act like you care. Just pretend. We didn’t see the manager to address the issue and as we drove past the back of the building, the manager and a team member were taking a break outside, soon followed by the unapologetic employee. Never coming here again.

Philly cheese steak and fries are the best ever but this location needs a good scrubbing from top to bottom

The food is great but the wait is slow and they have shorted me on change the last 3 times I’ve gone…

There was a line of 10 people, ready to order away when I walk in into Penn Station East Coast Subs. Additionally, the booths were about half full of patrons even though lunch time was coming to a close, (2:00 PM «)another positive» I thought to myself.
When I looked at the options I was getting concerned as it looked very much like a corporate chain type of sandwich menu selections. (I thought it was more of a single store operation from the outside, not knowing it was definitely not that at all)
I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak and the Make Your Own Italian and both were prepared the same. Chopped up, diced up and fried. Dice and fry pepperoni and salami? Huh?
It was close to the worst sub I have ever had and the 2 sandwiches with no extras (1 drink and 1 small fries were included) cost me $ 16.75 and both sub’s were really awful. Fries were greasy ans soggy in grease and under cooked. The bread was terrible, no taste, no crispness, merely a holder and the ingredients I chose were all presorted and pre weighed, as in many other corporate food establishments, that care little about quality tend to do, The mentality seemed to be just offer the bare minimum and heavily market away. I am from NY and there is nothing Penn Station or East Coast or Deli about this place. My stomach still hurts.

Delicious! Sometimes service can be kind of slow but that’s because you’re getting your food fresh! Come in, get a mouthwatering philly cheesesteak, some fresh cut fries and one of their baked-​daily chocolate cookies for icing on the cake. Of course if you’re dieting I’d recommend staying away :)
