This was our first visit. The place was nice and clean with a very helpful wait staff. We had pizza and a salad. The pizza was GREAT and the salad was good but at nearly 5 bucks for one trip with a desert plate was surprising. The«all you can eat» salad bar was over priced at nearly 8 bucks. All in all this was a good dining experience and we will be back.

I have worked in Butner for years and I must say this is one of the better eatery around. They also deliver which is very convenient to my job. The grilled chicken pita is fabulous with fries. I really miss the curly fries but they don’t serve them any longer. Overall great place!

Good stuff. Diverse menu. Yummy pizza. Awesome clam chowder. And the chicken Gorgonzola is to die for.

Yummy Italian with a Mediterranean flair. I had the Olympian with chicken Which was excellent. The bread and salad bar that’s included is just perfect. I have to bookmark this for my next trip through! I only give it four stars because the hostess stand has a little bit to be desired. More interested in their personal lives and the phone then their customers

Menu is diverse with something for everyone unless you have food allergies. It’s difficult to find an adequate salad bar anywhere in the surrounding areas but this one is good. But they cheap out on you by giving you a dessert plate with only one trip included in the rather expensive meal price. Do not bother with the garlic bread which comes with most every meal. It is flavorless and the bread itself is of terrible texture. I think they may use pre prepared meals then reheat them but they taste okay. We love their buffalo chicken wings appetizer and crab dip with pita squares.

Well, I have eaten here a few times now, and I have to say this place is mediocre at best. The salad bar is littered with«ONLYONETRIP!» signs that make you feel like your Oliver Twist, «May I have some more?». The place is usually crowded, which doesn’t mean much for a small town with lack of options. I don’t remember what I had the first couple times, but the most recent was the gyro. This was not it’s strong point… It wasn’t bad, but for the price i paid(Like 9 bucks?), I would have rather paid 5 bucks for the gyro combo at the mall. My wife got some sort of pasta Alfredo, which ended up being very soupy. Overall, I would eat here again if I wanted something different, but this isn’t even my first, second or third options for places to eat locally.

A friend mentioned Pergamon’s to us about nine years ago. We drove up for lunch one day and have been atleast bimonthly and sometimes biweekly customers ever since. In all that time, I have ordered one entrée that was not what I was expecting. It was most graciously replaced at no charge for whatever I wanted. Their seafood, ½ # hot or cold shrimp with sauce is huge and the best tasting in NC – without a doubt, the shrimp scampi is untouchable by an chef, the soup, particularly the clam chowder and lobster bisque are worth the drive alone. The Pergamon Special Pizza is just that«extremely special». I eat pizza no where else. They are open for breakfast(7am) and close depending on the day, by(10pm). They also delivered within a defined area. The Salad bar is filled with smaller amounts at a time and therefore always fresh. If there is something you don’t see, ask. Attila, the chef and owner, is in business to provide fine food and he has not disappointed us ever. Make sure you ask for a taste of the soups, and be prepared for the difficult decision of which is best. We always take home some extra bowls for lunch the next day. Attila, Elaina(his charming daugther, and his wife are always there to welcome you and ensure your dining pleasure. You will leave feeling well served and still have money leftover for that vacation bank !! You just can not beat Pergamon’s standards.

Very good pizza!!! We discovered Pergamon restaurant in Butner/Creedmoor recently and we were very impressed with the pizzas. Pergamon’s pizza was wonderful, light, crusty dough and fresh amazing toppings.

Good food & reasonable prices. Courses came out too close together to fully enjoy them, but the waitress was very friendly & attentive.

I don’t know why you’d be in Butner, NC, but if you’re there and need to eat somewhere — give Pergamon a whirl. They have a wide selection of options, a salad bar and everything at reasonable prices. And the food is good, too!

One of the best places to eat in Creedmoor. Pergamon is tucked inside of a strip mall and usually has a decent crowd on weekend nights. In terms of food, and this really confuses me but it’s true, they have one of the best clam chowders you will find. Why is great clam chowder made in a small town in central NC? I don’t know. The Mediterranean Pizza is also very good. It comes with a variety of cheeses and herbs, and without tomato sauce. A really tasty, neat twist on traditional pizza. There is a wide variety of food here, from your Mediterranean dishes to down-home cooking. The staff is always friendly, and they deliver which is a nice bonus. Also, it’s hard to find food late night in this town, but Pergamon is open to 11PM on the weekend. The only reason I didn’t leave 4 stars is because I have had some average food here in the past, but I can’t remember which dishes. Otherwise, it’s worth checking in when you are in the area.

It used to be, if I was going out locally, this would be the place to go to. However, When the economy is floundering and people(restaurant owners included) are trying to scratch out a living, something ends up having to give when it comes to mom & pop restaurants like this. In this case, it’s not necessarily the quality of the food, but rather, the selection, value for the money, and in some cases, even the quality of the help. Let’s go back 4 years to when I first moved to Creedmoor. Pergamon was probably the best restaurant in Butmoor(for those who don’t know, that’s the seemingly undefined area between Butner and Creedmoor that’s sometimes called Butner and sometimes called Creedmoor). The salad bar wasn’t limited to one trip per customer and the huge bowl of clam chowder was a meal in itself. Portions were so out of this world HUGE one could rarely finish their meal! We were almost always greeted with a smile when we walked in as though the establishment’s employees were glad to have our business. The place usually seemed to be packed whenever we were there. Fast forward back to yesterday(and other more recent visits). It was too hot to cook at home so I offered to take my bride and little girl out after church. The hostess, seemed to have a very unpleasant attitude about her as though she had a chip on her shoulder. She did not bring any utensils with her when she seated us, nor did she bother with a children’s menu for our daughter. She brought two adult menus with her, seated us and then did an about face with her nose in the air as though it wasn’t her job and it was beneath her to even be near people like us(must be my church clothes — I know I took a shower). The dining area was eerily near-empty for a Sunday afternoon after church lunch. A bowl of clam chowder has been reduced to the size of a small salad bowl. The policy for the salad bar may have changed about three years ago(give or take), but early on with that policy, they still had decent sized plates, then a year or two or so ago, smaller plates for awhile, and now(as of yesterday) a tiny wooden bowl for the salad bar visit. The food portions for dinners have shrunk to something more manageable for the person eating, but overall, prices have gone up and the value for the money has gone way down. It also seems the menu selections have become more and more limited. What used to seem to be a full menu, chicken, seafood, beef –now appears to be down to two pages of mostly pasta dishes, sandwiches, pizza and appetizers. That’s not to say the food isn’t tasty. The clam chowder is still something to rave about, just much less of it to rave about. Also, on the plus side, Teresa was(and is) a terrific server. She’s waited on my family a few times over the past several months and the experience has always been pleasant and interactive(especially when our daughter is involved in the conversation). I understand the need to cut costs where it can be done. Some of the cost cutting measures, though, seem to be so extreme they are driving business away.

Try their New England Clam Chowder– wowza! So good. I eat it like a meal and order a humongo bowl for myself. My husband always has the Pita Platter and raves about it. If you like tzatziki sauce, make sure to remind them to put it with your dish — they tend to forget. Recently, they started to deliver(yes!). The delivery service is outstanding and quick. They forgot our Tiramisu one time and not only went back to get it from the restaurant, but they comped us for it. This is the restaurant us locals tend to get a little«dressed up» for when we’re going to visit.
