I’ve been coming here since before I could drive. This place is awesome. It’s off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. Their BBQ is chopped and super yummy. They used to have the best burgers around. Now they’re good, but not fantastic. My favorite thing here is the fried okra. Yuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmy!!!

Fast friendly service always. BBQ, chicken & seafood with a large choice of sides. Everything is hot, fresh & reasonably priced. Never tried the desserts but they look very tempting. I am becoming a regular.

Wow this place is incredible! The BBQ is the best in the area and you can’t beat the staff and the atmosphere. People watching paradise. Under 20 bucks for two BBQ plates, 2 sides and all you can drink sweet/un-sweet tea. LOVE it here!

Brunswick stew is highly recommended. Good, traditional North Carolina style pulled pork with minimal sauce.

Wow! This place is really good. The bbq(eastern style) was chopped, moist, and delicious. Slaw was exactly the way I like it: chopped, brilliant green, sweet but not too sweet. The collards weren’t chopped(which I prefer) but were excellent… smoky and not too soupy. This place is Johnnys good(and you know how I feel about Johnnys!) Also, best hush puppy, possibly ever. Sweet, with a crumbly crust. And they gave me a whole pile of them!

Best barbecue in a reasonable driving radius by far. Great family owned restaurant and the friendliness of the staff shows it. People drive from all over the area, and I understand why. Nothing fancy on the inside, but the prices are great and food is really good. They rotate side items and desserts through the week, always keeping a variety which is great. You should definitely eat here!

Average BBQ(good flavor but was missing the«burnt ends» mixed in adding that extra layer of texture and little pockets of flavor dynamite). So close, but… Great Fried Chicken and hush puppies. I would recommend by passing the standard chain restaurants off the interstate and drive the extra ½ mile to Bob’s. You will be happy you did. Very reasonable priced and ample portions.

We love this place! Staff is always friendly and helpful. Food is always fresh and yummy. Our fave is the cheeseburger and hotdogs. Why spend your money at a fast food joint when you can have quality here for cheaper! The fishplates are awesome and huge! Don’t miss the fresh desserts if you have a sweet tooth. This place has been around for as long as I know and I hope it stays around for many more!

At least 41⁄2 What a surprise to find«eastern vinegar base» BBQ west of I95. Friends say I will travel 3 hours to find a good bbq sandwich, and I must say Bob’s BBQ fits the bill. Service is cafeteria style, steamed buns, BBQ chopped nice, slightly smoked, quantity(could have split sandwich with spouse), slaw good. Sides were good selection, chose okra(great). Brunswick stew good(slightly runny). As we were leaving the evening rush had begun and the owner was calling patrons by name, to me that is what country service is all about. If I am within 3 hours of Bob’ s And hungry, I will stop !!

I always stop at Bob’s when I come visit my Mom in Creedmoor. I live in Charlotte & nothing even comes close to Bob’s. I’ve been going here since I was a little kid. The food is great! I love the vinegar sauce. Yes, it’s sweet & delicious. The homemade chicken salad is awesome! I always pick up at least a pint to take home to make sandwiches with. The fried shrimp platter is also very tasty. I’ve never been disappointed. To those who would complain about the«atmosphere» — Get over yourself. It’s a country BBQ joint with great food & friendly faces. It’s nice to come here & see familiar faces & see people I knew from growing up in the community. It’s not cold & unwelcoming like a lot of places in «the big city».

We always stop by Bob’s on the way home from DC to Raleigh. The bbq is eastern NC style bbq and the prices are right. We usually get a pork bbq plate each with slaw and another side, and that comes with 7 hush puppies each. They give you a lot of food for $ 8 a plate. After we stuff ourselves with pork, sometimes maybe even a piece of homemade pie, we also get a couple of pounds of pork bbq to go cuz you can’t find good stuff like this in DC!

This is a Mom and Pop operation like other reviewers mentioned. No frills just great BBQ. Pulled Pork was little too soggy for my liking.

I visit NC a few times a year, and Bob’s is a must each time! I always get a quart of Brunswick stew to freeze upon arriving back at home. The stew, hush puppies, and banana pudding are spectacular. The ambiance is drab, but the food makes up for that. Very reasonably priced and quick, friendly service. This business is always packed around lunch time, which says a LOT; because Creedmoor is a tiny town, and for people to come there just for Bob’s speaks for itself.

If you like mom-&-pop places with friendly faces & consistent food, Bob’s is it. Their pulled pork isn’t the best I’ve had, but it is good, as are the mild & spicy(actually slightly less mild) vinegar sauces. The sweet potato fries, greens, & fried okra are killer, as are many of the desserts(banana pudding is my favorite). Don’t pass on the hush puppies with butter. Reasonable prices & real Southern hospitality round out a good family experience.

Place is a little worn & dark, and unlike some BBQ joints, the lack of ambiance does not add character. The BBQ is not not awful, but it certainly is not spectacular either, and it has little«personality» because it isn’t really Eastern, and it definitely isn’t Lexington. This is a cafeteria setup — you go thru line, place your order(if it is BBQ you receive it immediately), pay and take a seat. The BBQ is not cooked over wood coals, so there is no hint of smokiness. The sauce is a kind of sweet, with no heat to it. Slaw is mild, and does help make a decent sandwich — my choice here. The hush puppies are ok, and the Brunswick Stew is probably the best item on the menu, that is not a desert. The hamburgers are fine, the chicken salad is homemade & good, but the deserts, especially the pies, are killer — especially the chocolate cream. Grab a sandwich here, and finish with a piece of pie — things could be a lot worse.

The food is okay, nothing special, edible, nothing to brag about. I’ve had better BBQ at Red Hot & Blue or even at home made in a crockpot. Atmosphere leaves a good deal to be desired as well, very loud, can’t have a conversation with the people at my table without straining to hear if it’s busy. It seems dank, dirty & dark. Truth be told, I’d rather see a Red Hot & Blue in town for BBQ. Just not my kind of place. That being said, the place does appear to be popular — just not for me.

Good food. They run the joint like an assembly line. Customer gets in line orders their food from one employee, another one serves it and the last one takes your payment. A good size establishment but may need a face lift — the wood paneling has got to go! No need to get dressed up. Overall, they serve typical NC barbecue(vinegar base). Hush puppies are delish, coleslaw is ok. Safe bet is to go with any bbq sandwich. Pretty much the best you’re gonna get if you’re in these neck of the woods.

Great Food! True North Carolina Barbeque. My wife and I do take out all the time.
