Santosha Yoga Studio is a beautiful place filled with warm and wonderful people. The space itself is a gorgeous large old victorian style house, with high ceilings, several windows to allow for natural light and a charming antique chandelier and fireplace in the main practice room. Not only are the aesthetics of Santosha immediately calming, but I have always felt welcomed and accepted by the teachers and staff. The front desk employees have consistently been pleasant and helpful – and often drop into the class themselves after everyone is checked in. All of the instructors I’ve met thus far have been highly knowledgeable, warm and compassionate. Overall, they have balanced explaining poses, breath work and technical aspects of practice with essential core concepts for understanding and deepening one’s yoga practice. All of the classes I’ve attended have been inviting, honest and uphold the true meaning of yoga – unity. I’ve especially enjoyed the«Energy Healing Clinics» offered monthly(I think it’s monthly anyway) – $ 5 donation for quick Reiki sessions and other energy healing practices. Santosha offers a discount for students as well as military personnel which I think is great – a way to increase accessibility to yoga. The only downside to this studio is that there are relatively few classes offered each week. Nonetheless, Santosha is a wonderful oasis and a hidden gem of Cranston for sure. I would definitely recommend trying this place out.

Santosha Yoga Studio is the quintessential venue to get your Ohm in gear and restart your Chi. Offering a variety of yoga styles led by pleasantly tranquil, if not almost ethereal, instructors who seem to glow with the fuzzy aura of Tibetan zen masters, every budding lotus can blossom into a beautiful, flowing flower. …or you can just go to Santosha to relax in a beautiful, high ceiling room, letting the sunlight cascade over your body as you twist, sigh, and contort yourself into allegedly calming positions… opening your mind to everything, including the little dust particles swirling out of the window panes.

I recently had the good fortune to visit this studio for a daylong workshop with Gurudev. What a wonderful experience! Not only was the studio an amazingly peaceful and inviting space, but the community was equally beautiful. It’s clearly a warm and supportive environment. The perfect place to host such an event. I don’t live in the area, but if I did I would want to be a part of the Santosha family.

Since my first step into Santosha as a first-time yoga beginner in the winter of 2006, a weekly practice here has been a transforming force in my life. I’m grateful for the beautiful space, skillful and passionate owners and instructors, a community in which people open up and take risks with one another, and the countless opportunities to deepen different aspects of practice through affordable workshops and special events.

I really loved the series I just finished here. Attentive, kind, welcoming staff, and the teacher, Joy Bennett, was really amazing. I’ve priced other studios in the area, and this is not only the best value financially, but also for the surroundings. Area is great, easy parking. A wide range of series, and diversity of clientele as well. Will certainly be going back.

A haven«in these troubled times». Beutishious studio! Yum. Fireplace, classes, tea, snacks, cozy surroundings. Melissa and Heather have created a haven of study and practice that welcomes all. Santosha is an oasis in RI. There are a few classes for practitioners who don’t follow Kripulu but the owners welcome all practices and levels. See the schedule for events and offerings. This collective will only get better as it ages. Their hOMe page is here:
