As someone who doesn’t eat cheese, it can be hard to find pizza places that use vegan cheese. So most of the time, I am left to order a pizza with just sauce and toppings. If you are a vegan or can’t eat cheese, lil rhody uses vegan cheese, and it’s damn good. The pizza itself if great, and the staff was very friendly. If you don’t feel like driving to thayer street to get a pizza with vegan cheese, then lil rhody is the place for you.

When this first opened it was so good! Great fluffy gooey pizza… Even my gluten free boyfriend loved the g free option. Always very expensive for pizza(especially since there are amazing pizza options around) but felt it was worth it. The past few times eating from here were not great. The gluten free dough wasn’t cooked all the way through and the regular pizza the dough has changed. I ask for extra sauce every time and there has been hardly any sauce on it past 3 times. I love supporting my local Edgewood eateries but I feel like this place is way too expensive for less than mediocre food.

Friendly staff. Simple set up. Good location for me and mine. Medium thick crispy crust. Good sauce: not too sweet not too tart. An interesting assortment of toppings and specialty pizzas. Sandwiches, salads and apps I’m looking forward to trying. Not too pricy for the quality of the product. I’m glad to have another option in this hood.

Called in and clearly said«I would like a cheese pizza, one half with onions and peppers.» Upon pick up, got a pizza that was half pepper and the other half onion. Couldn’t be more disappointed. I asked them To skip an entire of the pizza!!!

Over-priced, low quality ingredients, unable to follow simple instructions, far better choices in the same area. We ordered from them twice, both times asking for a large pie, half pepperoni, both times we got a large pie no pepperoni. The second time was partially my fault for trusting them, but I did tell the woman who answered the phone about the mistake the first time, and asked her to make sure it wasn’t repeated. I have no idea why they even opened the place, they don’t seem to want to work much(opened only 5 –10 pm closed sunday, and monday) Just about every other pizza place in the general area is better.

I recently returned to try out the vegan meatball grinder. So good and HUGE. It could easily be two meals. I’m a fan. I think I’ll give the pizza another try next time.

Stopped in my the hubby in between loads of laundry at the laundry mat. Looking for a quick bite so we grabbed sandwiches — no regrets and we’ll definitely be back for the pizza! I got an Italian grinder and he got the eggplant parm. The meats and cheeses are so fresh piled high and there is fresh basil in the eggplant parm. For 9 bucks I got a sandwich that will last me two meals so it’s a great deal. The tomato sauce on the eggplant parm was delicious and authentic and I hope it’s the same they use for the pizza. There’s a wide variety of topics, including vegan and gluten free options, and a small is only 12 bucks to start(meaning cheese only), so prices again are cheap. You can build own or order from a list of diverse speciality pizzas. It’s a small joint facing the street with 5 inside 2 top tables and a small counter space and 2 outside 2 top tables. The staff are friendly, the place is clean, they pipe in music, and I don’t believe there is a bathroom, but for the size it’s not surprising. Besides pizza and sandwiches they have appetizers and desserts, too. It’s simple, fresh, yummy, and I hope the pizza is as good as the grinders.

Ordered take out while at work. You could smell the pizza from down the street as I was pulling up. We went with the Eggplant Parm sandwich, Italian Grinder and an order of the Bacon & Cheese Tater Tots. It was all delicious. Sandiwiches were huge and satisfying, and the Tater Tots were, well, theyre Tator Tots. They were ridiculous. We will definetly be coming back for the pizza.

Finally gave in to curiosity and walked in to this cute little pizza place on Broad Street. Well, I am glad I did. I used to think my favorite pizza only came out of the pizza place about 2 blocks from here but this one is giving me a change of heart. Let’s start with all the yummy, unique pizza varieties on the menu. Meatless(yay!) and meat options. How about a red curry sauce in your pizza instead of tomato or white pizza? Yup. It’s called Bapuji. I was hesitant so I did a half-half large. Half Bapuji and half Reggie(pesto, ricotta, four cheese and tomatoes). How about«winner»?! Pizza sauce of your choice includes Garlic and Olive Oil. Uhm… Carb loading never tasted so good. Gluten-free crust that’s a tad greasy but to-die-for(well, in my opinion). I usually do not eat the crust but this one, I wolfed down with delight. How about them tots? Got that right! Potato tots in different kinds with ranch or blue cheese dressing. Yep, the sweet potato is represented, too. This place is small, cozy, homey and cute. You can see the cooking going on as the kitchen can be viewed from the eating area. Sit by the window. Soak up a nice neighborhood street scene. The server is very friendly and chatty. Apparently, this place has the same owner as Edgewood Café next door. Go, go! If you are a pizza snob, this place will win you over. It sure did me.

Loved the pizza. Best one in this area so far. The crust was like home made. I will be sure to return.

Another new pizza joint in Edgewood! We are so spoiled. I got a chance to try it for the first time last night. I stopped in to grab a menu and placed my order with a very friendly server. It’s a very small space, a few tables and bar seats are available if you choose to eat in. Since I wanted to play it safe for my kids I opted for a large pepperoni and cheese pizza and a few appetizer items. I wanted to try everything but I limited myself to the plain tots, ricotta cakes, and mozzarella sticks. I had mixed feelings about the food. The mozzarella sticks were amazing — quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. The ricotta cakes and tots were also very good. Kids and adults both loved the them. The pizza, though. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great. I hate to make the inevitable comparison to Fellini’s but the pizza is closer to the average pizza parlor. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good. I just kind of wish it had been better so I could give it five stars. I am looking forward to trying the specialty pizzas and some of the other items on the menu. It’s great to live in a neighborhood that has so many great restaurants.

Went back for the vegan meatball grinder and eggplant parm grinder. Both were fabulous! And the mozzarella sticks are totally worth the indulgence!

I’m not gonna pick this place apart. I like these folks. They’re super friendly. And they’re an off-shoot of Edgewood Café, which is one of my «go to» take-out spots in the neighborhood. That said, I do have some constructive criticism. Okay, we could use a «pizza joint» right here in my neck of the woods, sure… but I question the need for another«high end» pizza restaurant. We already have a Fellini’s down in the village, which is wonderful-yet-pricy. I was hoping for more of a «Classic pizza parlor» type of thing for this location.(Vivaldi’s doesn’t count because, you know, it sucks ‘n all). So my first concern here is the price-points on most menu items. The Pizza is fine. Sorta close to «homemade». The crust tasted just like ours, which we make from the previously frozen dough from Stop & Shop. We had the large pepperoni, which again, tasted fine– –but«fine» is ok for an $ 11 dollar pie, not one running $ 17 buckaroos. Also, it could not quite feed three adults and one child. Almost, but not quite. I would rather go down to Fellini’s and spend $ 23 bucks on a Fantastic pizza pie that would be both slightly larger, and also unique and delicious. So, in short; Lil’ Rhody, please be exceptional, or be Better. We also ordered something called«Ricotta toast». This sounded better on paper than it looked on the plate. Perhaps a work in progress? Watch that toughness on the toast, and take it easy with the mounds of cold cheese, and you’d be much better off with this creation. The mozzarella sticks were the real stand out on this visit– A great sauce, fresh herbs in the breadcrumb mix, and priced to be a decent value. Even though our first foray was somewhat less than spectacular– I just HAD to come back and try something on the menu called«Red Curry Wings» and«Garlic & honey Tots»…intriguing… So last night we went back… The Curry Wings were lacking in curry flavor. Truthfully, they were lacking in flavor in general. Plump & juicy, sure, but kinda«ho hum», ya know? I hate to keep drawing parallels, but I could have gotten MUCH better wings down at Fellini’s for Less money! My wife had the Eggplant grinder. Again, Kinda«ho hum». Plus, $ 9 sandwiches should come with something on the side. Pasta salad? Chips? A Pickle? Anything, really. We also had those Garlic & Honey Tater Tots which were Unique and quite tasty. When I go back. If I go back. I’ll order those mozzarella sticks and tater tots. Other than that, I just don’t know…

NOM!!! What a great addition to Edgewood’s small, but might, restaurant offerings! Their specialty pizzas all sound amazing, but I built my own, and it was pretty bad@$$: pineapple, bacon, and arugula over BBQ sauce! Definitely worth checking out: small seating area, takes credit cards, super friendly staff. This may become my new pizza go-to!

Thank god I have a real pizza place now!!! Coming out on the heals of the catastrophe that is fellinis in pawtuxet village, Lil’ Rhodys pizza comes out with guns blazing. It’s a small shop with a big heart, and real delicious vegetarian/vegan options. We ordered a modest margherita pizza. While we were waiting, the hostess turned us on to their vegan meatballs. I asked if we could give one a whirl and they obliged with a smile. The meatball, IMHO, was the best meatball that I’ve ever had. You’d be hard pressed to not mistake this for its beef, veal, and pork relative. I can’t wait to have this in a grinder. The pizza? Completely satisfying in every way. Just the right amount of everything. Garlic, oil, spice… The crust is clearly hand made and divine. Crunchy, chewy and fresh. If you have the hankerin for some pizza shop fair, and you’re in the pawtuxet area, do yourself a favor and scratch that itch at Lil’ Rhodys. You will not be disappointed.

Been really looking forward to trying the pizza. We’ve added some great pizza in the neighborhood with Felini’s and there’s always room for more. I had high hopes based on the Edgewood café owner being the main pizza maker and brains behind the concept. I went on the Saturday night of their«soft» opening. I ordered a speciality meatball pizza, a good olé’ pepperoni and an order of garlic bread. First the positives: 1. Loved the menu! so much great stuff from tots, wings, Parm sandwiches. Everything sounded great 2. Real nice counter help 3. About 15 seats inside, great use of a small space. 4. You can taste the fresh, high quality ingredients they use. 5. Garlic bread was great Secondly the negatives: 1 Sauce a little sweet for me 2. The crust was underwhelming for me. Too chewy and underdone. Almost like the same as if I was cooking a pizza at home in my oven with a premade crust. Really surprised it wasn’t on point. Check out his facebook pictures of his pizza and you can see what I’m talking about. 3. Expensive(same prices as Fellini’s), but if it’s worth it then no issue. In the end, I will definitely be back and give them a second shot but they need to keep working on the dough and crust as it just isn’t as great as it should be. I was surprised that I wasn’t in love with the experience as I thought it would be a slam dunk of greatness but maybe my hopes were too high. He’s a smart chef and I’m sure will keep tweaking and working the concept to get it right.

We were the first ones there on opening day and were rewarded with friendly service and fantastic pizza. We had the Bapuji which included red curry sauce, eggplant, red onion, spinach, artichoke, banana peppers, and cheese. It was so good, we ordered a second to go. They have about 12 pizza specials, make-your-own options, calamari, subs, salads, wings, veggie sides, and lots of options for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free. Great addition to the neighborhood and nice«sister restaurant» to Edgewood Café next door and owned by the same owner.
