Sherri was exceptional in helping us find the right stone for our kitchen counters, and her colleague helped us figure out the best way to minimize the discontinuation at the seam, given that we selected a granite with lots of movements.
After understanding all the issues we had with another company, Sherri did her best to get us our counters ready in less than 2.5 weeks (this was the week of Thanksgiving)!
The granite fitted like a glove over our cabinets, and they used professional equipment to minimize the seam width.
We did find a small chip on the stone after the installation. I emailed Sherri with photos, and she was able to get someone out and fixed it in less than 5 days. We can’t even tell where the chip was.
Highly recommended. I have already referred a colleague of ours for their counter replacement.

Granite prices were very competitive and the variety of granite offered was great. Many to choose from. Honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. Install has been scheduled so I will update with a picture and feedback upon completion.
¹⁰⁄₂₂ — they were scheduled to come between 830−9am to make the template of the countertop. 8am I got a call saying he was able to come earlier and seeing if I was home and available. Super nice guy. Was in and out within about 15 mins. Quoted price was final price. Will be setting up install date for sometime next week. Such an efficient company. So impressed.

These guys do a truly awesome job! I was very, very pleased with them, and with the quality of my quartzite countertop. Paul (the owner), Michelly and Eric are very patient, friendly and present a lot of great options. I felt very well taken care of.
Their pricing is competitive and the installation went smoothly, even when I had a last-​minute adjustment to my order! I’d highly recommend these guys.
If you’re going in person to the shop, be prepared to spend an extra minute or two finding them, as they’re buried behind a few buildings.

While planning a major master bathroom remodel, we met a tile guy in North Kingston who recommended we trek to Cranston and look up Michelly at ECC for our granite needs: vanity top, tub surround, shower seat, and thresholds. The experience was win/​win from day 1.
We instantly liked the youthful enthusiastic Michelly and found her to be extremely well-​versed in the many nuances of ECC’s gorgeous and varied stone slabs. What delightful eye candy! Perusing the couple hundred full-​size stones they display had its frustration as well, though, as side-​by-​side comparison is not possible. «No worries,» Michelly assured us, «I can give you samples of almost every stone and photos as well.»
We finally made our decision, and as the process goes, ECC workers came to our Middletown home to take measurements for the templates. They were prompt, polite, and got the job done.
A few days later we got some bad news. There were minor flaws in our granite that revealed themselves as Ahmed was prepping it. The surface fissures would not compromise the structural integrity of the stone, but still they wanted us to come take another look.
The blemishes were minor, but perfectionists that we are, we ended up choosing another stone. Quite frankly, I can imagine another business simply stating the stone was made by nature, not man, and some imperfections do exist. But not ECC: they are all about 100% customer satisfaction, and they supported our decision to choose another granite.
So the experience ended the way it began: win/​win. Our beautiful Fantasy Brown granite was expertly fabricated by Ahmed, a skilled craftsman who takes quirky delight in his artistry. The installation crew arrived on schedule, and the now-​fabricated slabs virtually fell into place with perfect precision.
Furtado/​Medeiros Construction Company of Middletown was so impressed, their owner has already used ECC for another job, and will continue to do so in the future. Kudos to East Coast Countertops.

After taking lefts and rights to the point where we had no idea where we were, we did not have high expectations for East Coast Countertops (ECC). The place seemed to be plopped on a side road in the middle of a residential area.
However, we soon realized we were very wrong. The service was excellent. Many other places had salespeople who were pretentious or constantly in «sell mode.» Conversely, Michelly was extremely knowledgeable and willing to talk about the differences between various materials. ECC had various slabs of granite and soapstone on site as well as quartz and other materials that could be ordered. We loved the soapstone, but was not sure how it would look in our kitchen. To our surprise, Michelly offered us a sample to take home – and it wasn’t a microscopic sample, either! We went home with a large square foot or so of soapstone and were able to see how it looked in various lights before making our decision.
The prices at East Coast Countertops were also lower than or comparable to the other places where we looked. ECC is also BBB accredited.
Installation was fast and painless. The crew was professional but not stodgy.
We would definitely recommend East Coast Countertops to anyone in the Providence/​Cranston/​Warwick area looking for countertops… Just remember to bring your GPS! :-)
