I went here to attend a beer and candy tasting. They actually have a great calendar of events with all different fun things to do. Being a big beer geek this was perfect for me. It was 20 $ a person which is reasonable since it was a night out. We tried four different beers paired with yummy candy from Betty’s candies. We had a great time. The owner hosted and gave us a great history of the beers we were having. It was informative and fun at the same time. I got there early and was able to check out the store. It’s a small store. It has a decent selection of beers wines and spirits. They also sell some Home made items such as wax beer candles and wine glasses. This local place is a greatly option to check out for your liquor needs and has some great events also. Check it out for sure.

Sometimes pricy, but awesome staff, diverse selection, weekly beer/wine tastings. Parking in the back. Good place to stop before you hit the BYOB Thai place.

This is not my first choice, but if I’m in the area it’s ok. Pluses: Big parking lot out back, very friendly staff, wine tastings on Fridays(though I’ve yet to attend one) and they carry Jonathan Edwards wines, which I adore. Minuses: not the best selection, overall. I feel like they could utilize the space a bit better and beef up their offerings. I not a fan of the way their wines are organized. They’re in these big bulky IKEA-like cube shelves that make it hard to see what they have. I actually felt kind of claustrophobic in the aisles. Prices are average. I usually take the extra 5 minutes to go to IM Gan.

Super friendly, super accommodating family owned place. They have fantastic selection & prices for both wine and beer! They also sell wine gift bags, cards, and travel shots. Stop in for wine tasting and cheese bites on Fridays :) A true neighborhood gem!!!

My husband and I recently relocated to the Pawtuxet Village area, so this is now our local. And I couldn’t be happier! Shelley and Joey are extremely helpful and always friendly. In the few times I’ve had the pleasure to shop there since moving in, I’ve discovered new wines and found great bargains. I debated between 4 – 5 stars for this review, and when I remembered how much cheaper they are than any other place I’ve shopped, it was decided: a well-deserved 5 stars! Seriously, the wines I prefer are easily $ 2+ per bottle less than what I was paying in Providence. Even with gas prices what they are, it is well worth the 5 mile trip from Down City!

Wow, this is not my local liquor store but I sure wish it was. I stopped in to pick up a bottle of wine on the way to a friends house and came out feeling like I made a new friend. This place is great. The owner greeted me right away with a warm smile and an offer to help me find something on the shelf. I browsed the store for several minutes and then asked about a wine I had recently tried. She unfortunately did not have it available but quickly pulled out her ordering sheet and added it. She asked me several questions about my wine preference and then showed me a bottle that I quickly picked up. As I was checking out she also mentioned a value wine(under $ 6) that has a high value taste, this too I quickly grabbed. I most say both wines she recommended were great. I enjoyed the relaxed but professional atmosphere and the knowledge of a good taste at different values. I hope to go visit my friend again soon so I can stop in and grab some new wines!

Okay, full disclosure: I don’t usually shop here. It’s a little too far from my house and a little too pricey, over-all. I mean, its not THAT far, nor that pricey, it just so happens that I live very close to a much cheaper place(I.M. Gan on Warwick Ave). But I still like to pop into this place every once and a while when I’m right in the village and in need of libations. They have an impressive collection of «craft» and hard to find beers(seaweed ales, smoked beers, gluten free, etc) The staff seems pretty knowledgeable about their inventory as well. Decent wine selection. I do miss the days when this was Cameron’s Pharmacy and you could pick up band-aids, prescription drugs, the current issue of vanity fair, a bottle of Gin, a lotto ticket, pay your over-due gas bill and mail a letter to aunt Clara all at the same time; but alas, that train has sailed. There are precious few places like THAT around anymore –but this place does still have a «neighborhood» feel about it. The wife and I ran in last Friday evening to pick up a bottle of ‘Kelpie’ Seaweed Ale, and we ran into what at first blush seemed to be a wine tasting, but upon closer inspection was really a friendly gathering of older suburban ladies getting quite tipsy on free wine. I’m sure it started out as a very proper and informative tutorial and sales pitch– but you know how it goes, it was Friday night, there was all this wine… next thing you know everyone was blurting out off-color remarks rather loudly and spilling Malbec down their shirt-fronts– –it was wonderful!
