We usually get pizza here. My kids ordered the breadsticks this weekend and the order was huge and they were fantastic. They are already asking when we are going to go back again.

This restaurant is one of my favorites in the surrounding area. I’m Italian and know good food and Campanella’s consistently offers very good family friendly Italian food and pizza. Service is friendly and efficient. It’s loved by the locals and usually always busy on weekends. Best– tasting multi-grain dough option for their calzones and pizzas. My kids love the bow-tie special made with chicken, pasta and olives. I love their salads, calzones and pizza.

Soggy, GREASY calzones are not our idea of a great take out experience. I enjoy a good calzone, but that’s not what came out of the take out box I wasted sixteen bucks on. The bottom of the box was swimming in grease, the sauce was pedestrian and viciously acidic and both calzone we ordered were bland and flavorless. The Number 6 was so grease laden it required my Baker’s peel to remove it from the box because it was positively floppy! Sadly my dining companion said it tasted even worse than it looked. My calzone was also bland and flavorless with the same unpleasant sauce. Never again will I waste my time and money on this place. Big Cheese. might be a bit further away, but it is a billion times better. Hopefully the heartburn will eventually go away for both of us. Diners, BEWARE!

Amazingly delicious pizza. Homemade salad dressing was great. Shared a pitcher of sangria. Tasty!

After 16 years in Rhode Island, this is at the top of the list of my favorite casual dining spots. The food is always fresh and consistently excellent. They do a great job with whole wheat and multi grain dough, and their sauce is to die for. I have met incredibly friendly people at the bar, where the service is fantastic. Highly recommended!

We decided very last minute to have dinner around 5:30 on a Saturday with a party of 8+ 2 little ones… of course that would be overwhelming! They took it in stride and seated us in two booths that were relatively close to each other. My greek salad with chicken was HUGE(they offer a large and a small and I only ate about ½ the large) and the homemade dressing was delicious. Our waitress was lacking… as she didn’t check on drink refills and I literally had to ask for bread THREE times. I just wanted some bread. Also, I tried the breadsticks at our friends table and I’m literally still thinking about them. Highly recommend. We would go back…

My fiancé and I happened upon this little gem out of sheer laziness one night, I was 9 months pregnant and didn’t feel like venturing too far from home. Let me tell you, I was hooked!!! We have since gone back 4 – 5 times and every time the food is amazing, the waitresses are amazing. My only complaint would be the hostess area. They don’t seem to have a very organized way of keeping track of who comes in before who and we’ve found ourselves having to interrupt when customers who came in after us were about to be seated before us.

One of my favorite places to get a calzone. The bread sticks are great and I also really enjoy the Greek salad. If you have enough room, get the chocolate calzone. It’s not on the menu I think but it’s amazing. I’ve been happy every time I’ve come.

The venue is nice and parking is convenient. My wife’s greek salad was fresh and the soup appetizer and bread were good. My chicken parm was ok but the sauce tasted like something out of a can. The gelato dessert was ok too. Nothing memorable but overall a decent meal for the price.

I go to Campanella’s a lot with my parents and sit at the bar. The bartenders are very attentive and hilarious. I haven’t ordered one thing on the menu that I didn’t like. But, the stuffed Greek is out of this world. Definitely recommend it!

Campanella’s is packed most nights and for good reason. The food is delicious and well priced. It’s a nice family restaurant. I like it here and don’t mind the sometimes bossy waitstaff but I could see someone not from«Western Cranston» taking this regional attitude the wrong way. Believe me, they’re not rude, they’re just Italian American. I always build my own calzone, but the pasta dishes are all really good too. My advice is to order the bread sticks. Hands down the best I’ve ever had.

How can one not love Campanella’s? My partner and I have been visiting this restaurant for many years, and though we no longer live in RI, we make a point to stop in when visiting the state. I always«make my own calzone» and my partner always gets fish. It always comes out fantastic. And don’t forget the fresh bread with the sweet butter, a nice glass of wine and the Italian Wedding soup. I’m salivating just thinking about it. As Arnold says: «I’ll be baaaccckk»

Great food… the exact menu as Big Cheese on Reservoir Ave, which has been around much longer. The only difference is the hospitality… Campanellas is not the friendliest place. For take out you can’t use debit cards unless its over a certain limit. Bartenders have no clue about beer or cocktails. And ownership has no problem if you never return. So do not cause any problems and go to Big Cheese.

I don’t eat in here, but my family and I have been getting takeout for years from Campanella’s. This is my favorite pizza in the world. I can’t explain why it’s so good, but there are spices and a blend of cheese they use that just make this place so unique. The eggplant parm and lasagna are equally as incredible too. My friend’s wife makes one of the beat lasagnas around, and her comment was: «I think Campanellas’ rivals my lasagna». Now THAT is an endorsement,…trust. I see Unilocalers complaining about the chicken parm; if you want chicken parm, go to The Post like a real Rhode Islander, son(#shotsfired). For pizza, eggplant parm, and lasagna, I couldn’t recommend a better place. The calzones and sausage & rabe are tops as well. When I find out that I only have a week left to live, I’m figuring a way to get takeout from here before that week is up. Campanella’s is special.

The worst pizza place in RI. Nothing about them is good. The wait staff is by far the worst. I ordered a cheese pizza. Simple Right? They gave me it with Pepperoni. I didn’t want it. So I told the waitress. She said to me: «can’t you take it off?» Don’t waist your money. The owners a ass. Don’t waste your time there.

The chicken parm is not breaded! Who does that??? It’s awful — don’t order it! The soda is always flat. The salads are awful. The pizza is good and the calzones are good, that’s it! The inside needs a make over too. Calzones or Pizza — Don’t bother with anything else.

Okay, so this is a guilty pleasure that is not very high brow. I really like this place(about 3.5 star) because they will make anything into a calzone and they are not afraid to dump a salad on pizza for the vegi crowd, hand them a fork and tell them to have at it. So I did mean what I said about the Calzon’s. They have like 20 on the menu. Then, they will also make any grinder into a calzone. I also saw a huge salad walk by they the waitress pointed out was a pizza. Freeeeeakkkkky. This is not for the RI Italian snob’s, this is for the folks that just love to go someplace that has great friendly service, good solid quality food and food bill that will not drain your account. If you are a food snob, move on, if you have an AMEX Gold, head to the other joint on the hill, if you love being treated like dirt, go to the place by the river. If not, they will welcome you in here.
