Betty’s Pub & Chinese Restaurant

Small, Dingy, Dirty, Moldy and that’s just the building. The food was the driest, greasiest, tasteless Chinese I have ever eaten. Will never be back.

My boyfriend and I decided to have some Chinese food we end up going to Betty’s, I had sweet and sour chicken with fried rice it was delicious, he loves the food there, he had boneless chicken in batter with brown gravy, fried rice and egg roll, I’m definitely going back I really enjoyed it

Around here there arent any good chinese food places other than Betty’s. I have tried everywhere that delivers. I love this place! Order all the time. Usually I order pupu platter, pork fried rice, chicken lo mein. Love the crab rangoons! They deliver very quickly. I have only dined in once. Around 3pm. It was clean and quiet.

Great food, great service, to be honest I wasn’t expecting as good of service as I got from a Chinese Pub type restaurant but it ended up being fantastic.

Don’t be fooled by the exterior appearance!
The first time I was a bit taken aback, however, I have now become a Betty’s FAN.
Without rambling, the food is second to none. I have had plenty of Chinese food in my day from the old days of Cathay Terrace in Warwick and some of the higher rated Chinese places in NYC. Betty’s has them beat.
All her food is made from scratch and it always delicious and hot. Orange chicken and Wonton soup are my favorite. Her boneless ribs and crab rangoon are fantastic as well.
Drinks are great and inexpensive. Scorpion bowls are a must have.
Gone is the pool table (thank god) but the fun atmosphere remains!

My friend is in the restaurant biz and he said Betty’s was amazing.
He asked to see the kitchen and was shocked, he said he had never seen a kitchen so clean. Betty and Mike take pride in their restaurant and Betty is a riot.
Betty’s is a UNIQUE place and I think another reviewer hit it on the nose by saying «A great bang for your buck at Betty’s!»

This maybe the weirdest concept I have ever been to. A Chinese Pub. Usually I really enjoy strange places with strange clientele, but this was not one of them.
My food and Scorpion Bowl was actually decent, but the other crack heads that were in there ruined it for me and my wife.
The place is very affordable but when your wife thinks that her purse is going to get stolen while she eats that is a bad sign.
I want to recommend this place, because of the concept but I can’t it’s just too sketchy.
Go down the street to the Texas Road House and have dinner and drinks. You’ll have a much better time.

This is a unique place. The ambiance inside is more like a bar/​pub than a Chinese restaurant. The drinks and the food are great. The owners and servers are very friendly. They have a jukebox and pool table which make it different than any Chinese restaurant I’ve ate at before. It’s a great place to sit at the bar and have a Scorpion Bowl. Betty does make some serious bowls.

It’s ok sometimes. The first time was good. I have been there couple times after and not good at all. Burnt Boneless Ribs, Flat (taste) Rice, Slow Delivery!

Edit: They’ve got a pool table now! If that’s sounds odd? You can seat 20 at the tables and 10 at the bar. That the interior’s layout.
A friend of mine lives within walking distance — I love this place!
The food’s good, inexpensive and served in generous portions, but where it stands out are the drinks. A 2-​person scorpion bowl is $ 9.50! The drinks are strong and typically well mixed and thus very tasty.
Great bang for the buck at Betty’s.
As for the previous reviewers comments about the atmosphere? It’s definitely a family run operation. On two occasions I have seen kids hanging out in an otherwise unused room adjoining the dining area. I’ve also spotted some dog eared old sci-​fi parked on a window sill toward that side, too.

Betty’s Pub is a strange and unusual Chinese food restaurant. It’s situated in what used to be Fabrizi’s (which was a sort of weird hot dog restaurant where bikers hung out). It is essentially a small bar with a few tables. Very plain. Sort of appears that the new owners just came in and started selling Chinese food instead of hot dogs. They also have American pub fare… suspicious…
The food was pretty good. I had a spicy tofu dish and fun-​mein noodles. Both were extra generous portions considering the very low prices of $ 6.75 and $ 3.75, respectively.
Yes, Garfield, the animated film, was blaring loudly from a t.v. in the corner. Yes, there was a small child running around in circles while we tried to eat. But all in all, we left satisfied.
The service was very attentive, and the Scorpion bowl did «the trick». Overall, the atmosphere was just bizarre. I would definitely do take-​out, or delivery from Betty’s, but will probably not dine-​in again.
