B&K Electric

Based on reviews I tried this company. I expected to be told upfront about the pricing concerning the work that was to be done. That didn’t happen. I was handed a bill an hour later saying the work was done. I wasn’t happy with the cost and said something. Mike called me saying they could rip out the work they had done. I can’t believe that was his solution. After discussing it more he offered to cut the cost to make his customer happy, I wasn’t happy by the way this whole thing was handled, or how his worker began speaking to me. I went by the many good reviews, but that wasn’t the case for me. Once was enough for me.

Great company. Always get 5 star reviews about Mike O’Neill and his team with B & K Electric from my clients. I’m a real estate agent and assist hundreds of families buy and sell homes and at many times during the process there can be issues with homes that need to be addressed by professionals, this is when I refer my clients to B & K and they are always happy. B & K is my top preferred electricians. Neat, on time and very reasonable.

I had an emergent situation, where I had no heat and half my house was out. I called and they were able to squeeze me in for a same day call. So I was talking to my neighbor and he said he knew what the problem was and could fix it for me. I called back B&K electric and explained my neighbor would fix it. Well a technician came out anyways, free of charge, to check the work and make sure I was safe. People don’t usually go out of their way for no fee to do something like that. He gave me his card, reassurances, and a smile. Thank you Mike! I would use you for sure in the future! And recommend you to all my friends and family.

WOW! I would recommend B&K Electric to anyone looking for any electrical work done in RI and SE Mass even if just to get an opinion first. Mike and each one of us his team cared about the work being done. They took the time to explain and think creatively as well when I questioned things. They were passionate about doing the job right with quality and over-​delivering on a good customer experience. They also understand budget and the consumer. I can’t say the same for most contractors out there in the trades. Also, I am glad I read the other positive reviews out there about this company of which there are many vs the one crazy rant here. I had a very good experience and now have an electrical contractor and team I can trust in the future should more work or advice be needed some day. Thanks guys.

I’m a little late writing this review but here it is. Last yr my main breaker kept tripping and getting really hot, The lights in the house flickered and water was getting in to my breaker box. I called a few electricians and B&K called back within 5 minutes of me leaving the message, btw… they were the only one to respond. I talked to Mike and he had a couple of guys here the next day. They replaced the panel, added an electric inlet on the outside of the house to hook a generator up when needed and I had them installed some baseboard heat on the second floor. The guys were friendly and professional and the job was done in one day. I’m not sure what all of that work normally costs but what I paid seemed extremely fair considering what they did. If you are looking for an electrician, give them a call.
