I tend to visit Alpine on my way home from work only as it’s right on the way.
The store is a bit small, but has a decent selection of my alcohol staples. A large cold section offers a good variety of beer, though not much in the way of craft brews.
The one thing that puts me off about this place is it seems the wine bottles are always dusty. The wine itself is fine, but it seems that there isn’t a whole lot of pride in this store.

While not much has changed about Alpine, the service has been a little less stellar of late, and they’ve rotated new stock into the craft beer section less than would be optimal — I don’t think they’re moving as much craft product as they originally hoped.
They do continue to bring in some interesting deals in small lots, mostly in wine and spirits. They have a fair selection of gift sets right now, as well.
In all, this remains a very good local go-​to liquor store, but I can’t justify calling it five stars.
