Worst staff… longest wait I ever had to endure and I was an «emergency» case. Will never go again.

I just want to let you know how horrible the treatment was in your office today for my mother Jean Zarrello. If you cant get people out of your office in less than 4 hrs, especially at 93 years old, you should frankly tell them to come back another time. I wont be having her return here again…

Still an excellent Opthamologist!
The downside is the wait time. Our appointment was for 9:30. Saw the doctor at 10:45. That’s quite a wait!
That being said, when he does come in he is thorough and professional.

Dr. Calderone is a very thorough & competent ophthalmologist ~ did my mom’s cataract surgery with wonderful results a few years ago. He has a large staff ~ they are friendly yet very professional. The Dr. is in his early 50s and a very serious type of man ~ not too friendly ~ he «sticks to the business at hand». He does NOT rush you and even with a difficult elderly patient, he doesn’t give up, which is great!
You need to call months in advance for a regular exam appointment ~ the reason being obvious.
There is an optician’s office located in the waiting room ~ he is pleasant & provides good quality eyeglasses!
The only downside is the waiting time for your appointment. Even thought it’s a large & spacious waiting room with a TV and bathroom it’s very frustrating. HOWEVER, the Dr. will stay as long as it takes for an emergency patient, which is very kind & professional.
He’s on the corner of South Ave & S. Union Ave. with a parking lot that you can enter from either street.
