Visiting Belladonna’s is an enchanting experience. What a beautiful shop! This started out as a yarn shop but now has evolved into a charming boutique. I have purchased beautiful yarns, lovely jewelry pieces, and even a sweater. This little shop packs a big punch with it’s décor and wonderful selection of items. Donna, the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about her products, she cares about her customers. If you need a gift, or if you just want to treat yourself to something special, this is the spot to visit.

My regular LYS closed an hour early so I used the powers that are Unilocal to find another shop in the area, came across Belladonna’s. Teeny lil’ store that was exclusively knitting related up until recently, as per the owner. Now it’s more of a clothing and jewelry boutique. I was able to find what I wanted at a very good price but the selection of yarn in store may not be enough for me to shop there regularly. I didn’t peruse the clothing much, but I did see a few jewelry pieces I’m intrigued by. Donna was very friendly upon seeing a new face, and showed me the current crochet piece she was working on and chit chatted about yarns and what not. Good visit overall, and if I find myself in Cranford again I may go back to pick up some bling.

I learned to crochet at a really young age, but haven’t done anything since I’m a kid, so when my daughter asked me for a scarf and beanie I couldn’t resist picking up some yarn. We were in jersey as we usually are visiting family and I found this place on Unilocal. It was only 10 min from where I was. The place is easy to find and inside was very very cute and cozy smelling of potpourri. The yarn selections were very pretty and of good quality I am assuming because it was pretty pricy. I only knitted when I was younger and did not realize how pricy yarn could be. The owner was sitting at a table with some of her projects and was very warm and welcoming. She really did take her time out to explain the different types of yarn and helped me get a needle that was the right size for my yarn.

I have recently become a knitter and have been exploring all of the local yarn shops with a very good friend of mine. Today we visited Belladonna’s Yarn Room and Interiors in Cranford. It is a beautiful small shop that make a big impression with it’s décor, merchandise, and very friendly owner Donna Del Guercio. Knitters and crocheters you will not be disappointed. BYR&I has a nice selection of yarn that differs from Knit-A-Bit in Westfield, and Ewe in Clark. Lots of gorgeous yarn in an array of colors, textures, and price points. BYR&I also holds various classes. You can pick up a schedule at the store. Friday Night Knitting Club is help from 6pm — 8pm. Make sure you introduce yourself to the owner. She is warm, kind, and helpful. She also has a passion for her business and being part of the Cranford community.
