I love this place. It’s hands down the best Asian food in Cranberry Township. If could change anything about it, they would deliver. They’re a tiny bit expensive, but have the best shrimp lo mein in the area. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed! They are also super fast! Expect your order to be ready in ten minutes. No joke, ten minutes.

In short the best take out Chinese in Cranberry Twp that isn’t going to break your budget. So far, I’ve had their Gen. Tso’s and Chicken w/Broccoli. Both were very good by the time they got back to work in Cranberry Woods. The place is a little on the bland side at times, but the flavor is good. I’ve started ordering things spicy which seems to kick it up to what I enjoy. There are better places and less expensive places around, but this has the best bang for buck that I’ve found. Service has been very polite and time estimates have been spot on. Décor looks like your standard Chinese sit down inside, clean and well kept.

I spent $ 13.25 on a very small take out portion of general tso’s chicken. It was soggy and the sauce tasted weird. For that price it should have at least been all white meat chicken! The meal didnt come with an egg roll or choice of soup and for that price it should have. I should have stuck with house of chen but I wanted to try something different

I think the cooks prior experience must have been at a nursing home. I don’t even like spicy food. I like flavorful food, and this food gets a –0– on the flavor scale. It isn’t even as good as an average Chinese take out place. I wish I’d have had my ham sandwich that was made on plain old Wonder bread with some mayo and mustard that I brought for lunch instead. Save your $.

I come here fairly often for lunch during the work week. They are in a busier part of the Cranberry mall so it can be hard to fight traffic to get to and sometimes it’s hard to find a parking spot there. The restaurant itself is a small and clean with very friendly staff who have been the same since I first started coming here 4 years ago. I typically get the Szechaun beef, and sometimes venture to try other things here. They give plenty of food with each plate and always a little on the spicier side which I love. One of my favorite parts of the meal is the soup. I always get their hot and sour; it is by far the best hot and sour soup I have ever had at a restaurant! The food is always quick and a great place to stop by for a meal. It has a different taste than your typical Chinese food take out and definitely stands out from the rest.

This restaurant is extremely rude! Service is poor, an food not that great. Skip this place an look for a better place that appreciates customers! Food has no taste at service poor with rude owners who don’t value customers at all !!! Almost forgot to mention I guess that’s why no one was in this place eating or getting to go orders !! Should have took this as a hint an went next door to the other restaurants booming With customers !

Got a lunch special. Can’t go wrong. Got seseme chicken. Wasn’t as spicy as I would like. But the chicken quality was good. Also got steam dumplings. Very good.

This is one of those best kept secret places for Chinese food. Everyone around here seems enamored with House of Chen and Jimmy Wans — but this place beats them both, hands down. There’s never a wait here and your food comes out within 10 minutes of ordering — and it is AMAZING food. Their sauces are thick and richly flavored, unlike the competition where the sauces are watery and flavorless — the meat is tender and of good quality — and the service is always on point. The prices and portions cannot be beat. When we are in town visiting this is always on the list of places to eat. We have never been disappointed.

The food was just okay. I was there doing the week for lunch and the place was empty. I asked for some lemons for my tea and the waitress was very hateful saying they don’t have lemons. How can you have lemon chicken on the menu but have no lemons! The staff was very unfriendly. I have not gone back!

So I finally get to have some Chinese for lunch again! Some people make dining an experience, some make it exhuastipating. Free at last, I check out Szechuan Taste. The reviews are good so I head on in to very typically appointed Chinese restaurant. Wokano I miss you! Very friendly greeting and immediately shown to a table. The place isn’t empty, but neither is it packed. I order the General Tso’s and fried rice, and chill out with fried noodles and sweet/sour sauce, like a Chinese nacho’s and salsa. The food comes out quickly. Giving it a minute to cool, I try the complimentary tea, not bad at all. The fried rice is a little bland, but not bad, the chicken has a nice sweet sauce that has very little kick to it. Lt. Dan kicks harder. Seriously. So, a nice meal for a decent price, no frills run of the mill chinese. I’d return, but I’m not making a habit of it.

We had seen when we stopped at the adult beverage store. Since, I am staying in the area and this was a convenient stop after such a long day of traveling. We opted to get some take out and just call it a night. I ordered the Seafood delight and it was pretty darn bland like others have mentioned. Jimmy Wan’s is better but definitely a little bit more pricey. If you don’t mind driving about 5 miles… go to China Palace… I’ve had lunch there a few times and it’s been pretty good those times. The prices were also very reasonable. With so many other Asian food options around, I would not come back to this place.

I tried to call in a take out order and got in an argument with the guy. I just wanted a simple order and it turned into an argument. Never again.

Composite review(what can I say): I’ve been here about a dozen times over the years. Reliable service, consistent food presentation, establishment is clean and maintained. Reasonable prices. Spicing is not what I like but I’m more of a Thailand HOT type of guy and not mid-west BLAND person. So, ask for spices/sauces and that can help. This place remains in business while the BRBR place has been cycled 3 times in 5? years? So… this says something about consistency. f8 and be there.

I stopped by here this past Friday with 5 other coworkers for lunch. Whenever we arrived we were given a choice of sitting in the back of the restaurant or the front by the window and we choose the front. Whenever I sat down on my chair I ended up sitting on a crumbled up napkin. Awesome, right? The inside of the restaurant was decorated for Christmas with some Christmas light strands all around which I feel like was nice for an Asian restaurant. The wall colors though were not that nice as they seemed to be a pinkish/mauve/purplish color scheme which I thought was hideous. Before we ordered our server brought us out a pitcher of water, a pitcher of hot tea and two bowls of wontons with sweet and sour sauce. For my lunch I decided to go with the shredded beef with garlic sauce lunch special that came with fried rice, an eggroll and soup for which I chose hot and sour. The soup was the first thing out of the kitchen and I have to admit that I was pretty impressed with it. It was warm, had a nice reddish tint to it and had a little bit of sourness to go with the chicken that was in it. After our whole table had finished the soups our meals were brought out. The first one that waiter asked who had ordered the kung pao chicken. No one said a word and so he said it again at which point one of my co-workers asked if it was was the chicken with cashews. It was. After a few more correctly identified items only two of us were left whenever the waiter asked who had ordered the chicken with garlic sauce. I asked another coworker if it was his and he replied it was not and got the other entrée which was served to him. At this point the waiter put down the chicken with garlic sauce in front of me while I was trying to say that I ordered beef. Either he didn’t hear me or didn’t want to acknowledge it and walked away. Since I have nothing against chicken I ended up just eating it. The sauce of it was rather good leaving a slightly spicy yet garlicky and sweet taste in my mouth. The chicken itself was nothing special but the vegetables that it came with were also pretty decent being crunchy. I ate the eggroll last dipped into some of the leftover sauce which allowed it to taste good. While it was certainly one of the bigger eggrolls that I have received lately I was not too big of a fan of the flavor. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. The lunch specials are reasonably priced for the amount of food that you get and also the flavor which I would give 4 stars on its own. Now if I could only get the right order and have a cleaner table area the next time that I come here .

Disappointing, given some of the other reviews here. I thought it was rather bland, and although not totally tasteless, certainly lacking in the flavor I expect from good Sino-American food. The Hot and Sour soup was hot(temperature-wise) but not spicy, and not much sourness. And I didn’t find the General Tso’s chicken appealing at all. Quality of the meat was good, but lacking in pop in flavor. I can do better than this by searching the web for recipes and doing it myself. Did I tell you about the Sesame Chicken I made the other week…

New to Cranberry looking for a good Chinese takeout. Stopped in because it had 4 stars. Food was barely ok. The service was super fast. As for the food… Fried rice was dry and lacked flavor. My fav Crab Rangoon was a stale wonton with cream cheese. The sesame chicken was ok.

Overall this was a good take-out experience although not my favorite. It could certainly be on my list of lunch stops. They even have a lunch card(buy 10 get 1 free). The General Tso’s chicken and fried rice scored in the 80th percentile with my taste buds. I never make it to the egg roll. It ALWAYS ends up in the fridge to be eaten cold letter.

I love this place. The hot and sour soup is the best I’ve ever had. And if you can make excellent hot and sour soup, everything is awesome. The staff is very friendly. It’s had the same owners since it first opened 20+ years ago. My family has been going back since I was a child and I’m so happy they’re still around. Def better than the other restaurants in the area. You know a restaurant is good when it is still in business despite having so many competitors nearby! Their lunch special is amazing! A ton of food for under $ 10(including tax and tip) and it’s just as good dining in or take out. The take out is super fast, usually ready in under 15 minutes and piping hot. You can tell it is made fresh to order and not sitting out like some other restaurants that I’ve been to. The managers are very friendly and always try to say hi and ask how the meal is throughout the stay there. I will be back for sure!

We ended up at Szechuan Taste not by choice, but because we were trapped for about 90 minutes in horrible Pittsburgh traffic, and as soon as we broke free from the mess, got off the highway near a mall. Unilocal led then us here. I had a good impression of the restaurant as soon as we entered, because it definitely seemed popular with families. Families means returning customers, returning customers means satisfied customers. So I felt as if we could trust the place not to disappoint. It didn’t. My wife and I split an order of fried dumplings, and for the main courses, she chose Triple Delight, while I ordered General Tso’s Chicken. Everything was tasty, and while not the best Chinese food we’ve ever had(because I’ve eaten some GREAT Chinese food), it was good comfort food when we needed it. The waiter and owner/manager were both friendly, so we felt welcome. Doubt we’ll ever pass that way again, but if we did, we’d give it another try.

This is a great family-owned business! I’ve watched their three daughters grow up in the restaurant, through photos, and now through stories. The food here is fantastic. You can customize it anyway you want. I’ve asked for steamed dishes(even if it doesn’t come steamed) and with sauce on the side. My favorite dish is definitely the General Tso’s anything. Their sauce is unique and tangy. Their portions are BIG! Enough to feed two; they definitely top off their take out containers too. Other top favorites are seafood delight, beef chow fun, singapore rice noodles, hot and spicy jumbo shrimp, and sauteed green beans. The restaurant is somewhat quiet and very good for groups and families. I highly recommend this restuarant.
