Overpriced, slow service with an attitude, what else could you want! Went a lot at first, but better places to go.

I have been there three times to purchase guns they have advertised in my local Sunday paper. once on Sunday afternoon and twice on Monday mornings. All three times they have been sold out. And of course no rainchecks. Is this anyway to run a business?

This store has so much. It is in the place occupied by Dick’s before, but this store is better. I’ve only purchased a few outdoor items and walking shoes there but it has dozens of specialty areas: bow, fishing, gun, camping, running, walking, cycling, kayaking, golfing, hunting… you get the idea. Open lot parking, easy access. My experience with customer service has been fine.

I do not know how this place stays open. There are always a few people like myself looking around, but you never really see anyone buying much of anything. They always seem to have .22LR in stock but good luck getting someone behind the counter to wait on you to get it. Nearly every time I have been here wanting to buy some ammunition the guy behind the counter is having some long winded conversation with a customer who is not buying anything. I have since started going to Big Bucks down the road.

This place is great! I love the huge selection for everything you could need but the place is super overpriced! I don’t like that all items are made in China! I don’t mean to be racist but Field and Stream is very American and I don’t like how they «lie» to you. Aside from that, it’s great!

I currently have the itch to buy kayaks, and this store has a great selection! In addition to kayaks, they also have an assortment of things to make any outdoorsy person happy as a clam — outdoor-​style clothing and shoes and equipment for hunting, camping, etc. I visited for the first time with my husband today, and we left with a small folding camp table and a few snack foods and grilling things. We had a great experience shopping here, and I can’t wait to see what Dick’s Sporting Goods does with this newly created brand. Plus, I have to give a thumbs up to the customer service. The store had many associates throughout the store and at checkout.

I think I’m in love. Need a fishing pole or a tent? How about a rifle? If so this is the place for you. First things first I ran the little man to the bathroom which is at the back of the store. This seems to be a trend. It was clean. So no complaints.
Anyways once that was taken care of we started to walk around the place. The amount of taxidermy in this place is crazy. It makes me want to be In a lodge in the middle of fall sipping hot coco.
There is a large selection of tents, kayaks, fishing reels, sportsman cloths, guns, and so much more. I do wish the selection of children’s fishing poles were a bit larger.
If your in the north hills area and you need any of the above mentions items I would recommend this place.

Huge store with impressive taxidermy! I must say it does appear to be a bit pricy in a some areas, but wouldn’t mind spending a bit more for a few of the items or brands!
I was particularly impressed with the fishing tackle displays! There is an impressive amount to cover with children in tow… may wanna make a second trip to take your time seeing it all!
As my good friend and father of two (that accompanied myself into the store) said, «this places makes me feel like more of a man…»!

So frustrated with this store and its management. When they originally opened we were thrilled to have such a fantastic store nearby, but there are obviously some issues in the HR department, as the employees are visibly miserable and treat the customers accordingly. They have no concept of the term customer service, even to go so far as being helpful or friendly.
I have spent over $ 500 here for Christmas 2013 and have been met by nothing other than sarcastic employees and careless managers. In addition to the other purchases I’ve made, I attempted to purchase a pair of boots as a gift. The boots were not in stock in the size I requested, and so I left my name and number with an employee who assured me that the manager, who was on a lunchbreak, would call me back to let me know whether or not the boot could be ordered. After two days, I hadn’t heard back, so I called the store, simply wanting to know whether or not they would be able to supply these boots in time for Christmas delivery. No one had any idea about my request or my name. I left my name again with the salesperson, along with my number. He told me the manager would call me back within the next two days. When another 4 days went by without a call, I called again, only to be told the same story. I STILL have not heard from the elusive manager. Needless to say I found the boots for $ 75 cheaper elsewhere, with free shipping, and will not be giving my money to the F&S store in the future. What a disappointment…

Too expensive. Rather go to a real hunting store. They don’t even offer layaway for firearms. But again it’s cranberry. .sure most people can folk out 500 the same day.

Bought a new compound bow after a tech took the time to explain my options to me. Indoor archery test range was fantastic as i went through my options. I have looked at Dicks, Dunhams etc. to look at bows, with little or no help. The staff at F&S were very patient and extremely knowledgeable. Purchased the bow, they set it up for me and got me ready to shoot in no time. I could not be happier. I can not speak to the price of clothing, but i do know their prices on the equipment i purchased were on par with the other locations i looked and online. I highly recommend.

Basically, a Dick’s with taxidermy. A bunch of high priced Gucci stuff that I don’t a lot of people will shell out for. I know I won’t. Now, the gun shop IS well stocked with ammo at reasonable prices. But everything else? Whew! Hunting pants for $ 269??? Get real. And small, too. I’ll go here for ammo when I need it. But for the outdoor experience, I’ll drive to WV for a day at Cabela’s.

If you are into hunting, archery, fishing, paddling, camping. F&S has so much to chose from. Nice new store with knowledgable staff to assist. It has the hunting lodge décor like other outdoor stores with some of the stuffed animals and a fake mountain.
