Very nice surrounding. Quiet and perfect for a good date night scenario or just have a few over for drinks. Staff is very friendly and couteous. Wine list was very nice. Try the Truvee blend. Appetizers were of generous size. I thoroughly recommend the Yellowtail Tuna Sashimi. Very delicious and we’ll prepared. Overall had a wonderful experience.

Always good food when I go. Even though it’s good doesn’t keep me wanting to come back. It’s pretty expensive too.

My wife and I came here for a late lunch and left completely satisfied. My wife had the fish tacos and thought they were excellent. I had the philly beef panini which was very good. The place has a sophisticated décor and super friendly staff. We were both presently surprised with the whole experience. Will definitely be back!

Been to this restaurant many times but something happened to it recently. The prices grew and the size of the dishes got much smaller. Example, fries green tomato with shrimp remoulade. Literally one slice of green tomato and four shrimp for I think $ 7. Then Thai ribs stack single plate $ 7 for 3 ribs. They were good but I noticed what your money got before does not get now. $ 80 for 2 with one cocktail each and I left wanting more. Don’t get me wrong it was very good just noticed a change and not for the better.

Zea’s is one of our go to restaurants and we frequently get our food to go. It travels well and they pack that bag with care! Get these items — they do not disappoint: — grits. Their grits are almost too rich but I keep coming back for more. They are delicious and creamy and go with almost any protein. Home cooked comfort food exemplified. — veal. I believe it’s the Tuesday meat special. It melts in your mouth. It’s like the best roast your mother ever wished she could make. — Mediterranean hummus. Packed with fresh layers of texture and flavor. Good good good. When we have eaten inside we’ve always had good service. The servers usually recommend something and we always try it. Not been disappointed yet. My only caution for those of you who are health conscious is that 90% of what you eat here will be heavy and I doubt it’s local or organic. I consider this restaurant one of my naughty indulgences because I usually need to go to sleep shortly after eating here. For most people this won’t matter.

I’m not usually a fan of chain restaurants, but Zea’s is really fantastic. Things I’ve ordered and loved: Mediterranean hummus — could eat this all day everyday Pepper jelly chicken salad Korean BBQ tacos Things my co-diners have ordered and loved: Tuna sashimi stack Red beans and rice The Thursday special — lamb(not fatty) Corn grits Service has been okay, there’s room for improvement. They forgot to bring enough silverware for all of us. We have to ask for our beverages to be refilled. But overall, I really can’t complain. I’ll definitely be back. Plus there’s a Starbucks next door for a post-meal pick-me-up!

The sweet tea is great. Loved the fried catfish and loved their sides; cabbage, spinach, roasted corn, asparagus. Great service!

So, I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5ONLY because I find the menu overpriced, especially given that some dishes don’t even come with sides. THATSAID, the food was excellent and better than anything I’ve had in New Orleans on this trip. The Corn Bisque(soup served Saturday as of this review) is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Ever. I could probably eat it for every meal every day. It is a must try. Burgers are flavorful and I highly recommend adding their BBQ sauce to them. Food was so good. Definitely recommend.

I got two to go orders here while in town. The first time the order was fine and there was nothing wrong. The second time the spinach dip was left out of my bag(yes I should have checked) and they called me when I was already back at my hotel. My hotel wasn’t far away, but I had already had enough human interaction that didn’t want to go down the elevator, get in my car, and drive the 3 mins to get the spinach dip(while everything else would get cold). They waitress said I will get a gift card, so we will see if that appears in the mail over the next few days.

Favorite meal: Thai ribs, corn grits, snap beans and a Zea Porter. Favorite locations: Metairie and Covington. Open later than a lot of other places. Can’t go wrong here if you’re hungry.

Yum! Have always had positive experiences with Zeas. Food was good, came out pretty quickly. Service was great. Our waitress, Heidi, was super friendly & attentive. Definitely recommend the Mediterranean hummus. The portions are pretty small though. And I don’t care for the new menus at all; definitely prefer the old ones

Went to Zea’s in Covington prices increased and some of the food not good. Catfish is a joke small little pieces size of an adult finger. Service not really good. Ribs were too tough to even cut into. Per server and manager we were the«3rd» table to complain about the ribs. Now why do you keep serving them??? That’s not good customer service and lazy on the kitchen part. Overall kind of disappointed.

One of my favorite hangouts for good food and service. Try the Humous Trio. You won’t be disappointed. Grits are super yummy. They train their wait staff.

I sat at the bar on a weeknight. The bar area was full and the bartender was working hard, but in the weeds. Finally she got some help from a manager to deal with the understandably overwhelming number of people and orders. After several minutes I got my drink order and it took about 15 more before she was free to take my food order. I had the Kobe Burger with corn grits. The burger was good, but not amazing. It had cheddar cheese which totally covered the thin beef part. The grits had good texture, but were bland. The real standout was the strong drinks :)

I got the trout with baked pesto crumbs. I was quite intrigued because I had never heard of such a thing– usually I just see parmesan crusted fish or bleu cheese crusted steak but not pesto! The trout pesto turned out really good! For my sides, I chose the mashed sweet potatoes(a bit too sweet for my taste) and the corn grits(not my favorite). The waiter was very friendly and the place was pretty nice. I heard that this place is most well known for its rotisserie chicken. When my co-worker ordered it, the waiter said they were completely out because a huge party had come in earlier and everyone in the party ordered the rotisserie chicken. I’ve personally never been to a restaurant that ran out of their most popular dish so that was a surprise… Update: I came back a second time with my work team. I ordered the chicken florentine soup(my team says it was not what they expected). I very much enjoyed the soup, i twas delicious. It was not what I expected either. I got the chicken rotisserie with the garlic herb sauce. It was not bad… I think if you love chicken, you will love this. It is very very tender. It does come with bones but it’s easy to cut off. I ordered roasted red potatoes and dirty rice for my sides. I actually received cheesy corn grits for my side instead of rice. No biggie, but I didn’t like the grits last time I got them haha. The roasted red potatoes… I usually never dislike them but here, I actually did. They looked like they were seasoned well but they tasted like they had no seasoning whatsoever. Even a pinch of salt would have helped… The dirty rice was OK… nothing special. The server was really nice. I originally gave this place a 4 but now it averages to a 3.

My husband and I love the food and the great service in Zea! I had the trout and shrimp, and my husband had pork chop, everything cooked well and is so delicious! We will definitely go to Zea again!

I found the food to be absolutely fantastic! I wish they had a Zea in Virginia. I placed a take out order and was pleased that they had curbside pickup. I ordered more food than usual just in case I didn’t like some of the dishes I ordered, but fortunately AND unfortunately I liked all of them — a little too much! I ended up eating the leftovers for breakfast and lunch the next day and the food still tasted amazing. Here’s what I ordered: Spicy wok seared edamame with chilis and Asian seasonings — I was curious about this dish and was also concerned about the potential heat. It turned out to be delectable. I wish I could snack on this everyday. It had just the right amount of spice and was super flavorful. The portion was larger than expected. $ 5.95. Spinach salad with pepper jelly vinaigrette — Sun dried tomatoes, raisins, pecans, calamata olives, bleu cheese & sesame seeds. So good! The pepper jelly vinaigrette was fantastic — a catalina consistency with a kick to it. I was eventually just eating the dressing with a fork. Apparently they sell bottles of this dressing onsite. I recommend mixing the dressing into the salad rather than dipping the salad into the dressing(I sometimes do this to save on calories). The combo of dressing-mixed-with-salad is what makes this work. $ 5.95 small/$ 10.25 large. Zea potatoes — I only ordered the potatoes in case one of the other dishes was inedible. I was informed that these were simply red potatoes so I was not that excited about them but let me tell you these were not simply red potatoes. I don’t even think they were red potatoes at all. Instead these were potato wedges bursting with flavor! I wish I had found this place a day earlier because all of my other food experiences in Covington/New Orleans were lackluster.
