Stopped in at 6:00pm last night for a quick bite with the family. Was told by a customer that after 4pm, due to smoking, kids were not allowed. 1st — Covington establishments need to get with the times and voluntarily ban smoking. You are not long for this world with Newport and The Banks showing how to cater to all customers. 2nd — I respect an establishments’ rules but I would appreciate the information from the employee who handed me the menus at the bar, rather than the info from a bar stool regular, after I had my family sat down and situated for dinner. For obvious reasons I have no reviews on the food and will not try again, too many places that are focused on all customers to waste the effort here.

I’ve been here quite a few times, the first few times were late visits, depending on the day of the week, it’s either really crowded or just kind of sprinkled with patrons. We stopped in one day this past fall for lunch, and it was actually really good. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, had a few drinks, it was great. The last time we were in for lunch we decided to order the same thing. They must’ve changed their recipe or something because it was totally different. The crust was really thin and kind of gummy, the rest just really greasy. It was bad at all, just definitely not as good as the last time. Service isn’t impeccable but it’s not bad either.

Service here is always great – the owner is often behind the bar and always engaging. The food here is above typical bar food. Pizza, burgers, and soft pretzels(with queso dip) are my favorites. Generous portion sizes. I wish they had more lunch specials on a consistent basis – some days there are some, some days there are not.

In my opinion Zazou is hit or miss. Sometimes its slow, sometimes there are so many people you can’t move. Drinks are pricey, but they do have some good specials from time to time. Service is just ok, I’ve never been to impressed by the bartenders, there are a few girls in there who are super awesome though. So I guess it just depends on the night/day you go. They also have some of the BEST pizza I have ever tasted. You will not find a better pizza in the area definitely worth a visit to Zazou’s just to try!

My favorite hangout! Friendly service and great food! We make a weekly visit with at least 10 – 14 guys after our golf league. They always have our table ready and last week the bartender Brittany had our drinks on the table when we arrived. They have earned our groups business and we will continue our weekly ritual for the rest of the season! Check them out for sure!!!

Not a bad place to go. A lot of Hoth bats in Mainstrsusse are full of crap and trouble. This place even at its rowdiest isn’t that bad. Never got a chance to try the food but I am going to make it a point to now.

Stopped by for lunch on a Wed. The special was Hot Italian Hoagie. It was delicious. The right blend of spices and flavor. Not too much bread and not too much meat.

Tuesday-Thursday: 3 ½ to 4 stars Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 2 ½ to 3 stars During the week, this cool little lounge in the heart of MainStrasse is a nice spot to grab a happy hour cocktail or take a mid-week date. You simply must try their pizzas(served until 2 am), which rank among the best pizzas in Cincinnati in my opinion. They also serve burgers, salads, and other pub fare, but I’m always too psyched about eating the pizza to order anything else. DJ Eli is there on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, spinning fun mash-ups of today’s hits with yesterday’s classics. One of his sets seamlessly transitioned from Aerosmith’s «Walk This Way» to Audioslave’s «Like a Stone» to Gwen Stefani’s «Hollerback Girl.» I was enjoying the tunes so much I wished Zazou had a bigger dance floor(theirs is basically non-existent). On the weekends, Zazou becomes popped collar central. Frat boys and sorority sweethearts mingle in what becomes a shoulder to shoulder crowd, all binging drinking and swapping digits. Word of advice: if you are out to get wasted, don’t waste your money on the Fishbowl. For 12 bucks, you get like a gallon of a red hooch-like concoction that tastes like cherry Kool-aid. You’d think for the sheer quantity involved this would bevy would do the trick, but you’ll probably just end up with a dyed tongue and a sugar buzz.

For a pre-game drinking/bar food spot, this place isn’t bad. Beers are $ 3 which ain’t that bad compared to LA prices. We had some pizza(typical) and watched ESPN on one of their many flat screens. This is also a good spot to park for free and catch a cab over the river to Cincy if you’re going to a game. It was like a 5 min cab ride for less than $ 10 w/tip and we were dropped off right in front of the stadium.
