Stone Creek Club & Spa

I have been a member to Stone Creek now for 2 years and it has never ceased to amaze me. This place got me to loose 50 lbs & get in the best shape of my life. I am also developing my own fitness career from being inspired by the people that work at this facility!
If you like fitness or personal training… You will not be disappointed. They have the best instructors on the planet & sometimes I wonder where they even find these people (I still believe they are aliens with super powers).
If you go to another class at another gym be prepared to cancel that membership and take out a personal loan to come back to Stone Creek because unfortunately no one can compete with their level of greatness. Just be on time for class or they will kick you out – Not a joke – happened to me before in bodycombat… I have to admit you have to be really brave to kick someone out of a bodycombat class because your ready to fight with no limits stepping into that class!
They have the best of everything here. The café is delicious & has a Starbucks. If there would be a single piece of yarn from a sweater on the floor or a chip off someone’s shellac manicure… It will be picked up within 5 minutes. They are on top of that with BMW vacuum cleaners.
One time they replaced the hair dryers in the women’s locker room and when I asked what was wrong with the old ones… The answer was «nothing.» They just are over the top & want to provide you with the best experience as possible.
One time I left my type 1 diabetic test kit by there on accident. I don’t know how they knew it was mine, but they called me that afternoon to tell me it was at the front desk waiting for me! Everything is always clean, all the equipment is always working properly and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel special. The Coca-​Cola delivery truck is always there in the parking lot at 9:00AM EVERY WEDNESDAY MORNING RAIN OR SHINE FOR GOD SAKE!
They host several events all year (parties & spa events, sporting events) for its members & they do a lot of charity fundraising. One time they auctioned off a $ 100k car! One thing I have to admit is that sometimes I take photos of the over the top cars in the parking lot. I have had Lamborghinis and Ferraris park next to me. Do NOT show up in your 1996 Honda – You WILL be embarrassed!
This is Lululemon and Louis Vuitton capital of the world. I would say that about 99% of the people who attend this club are in top shape like Shape magazine bodies & have fashion sense like they are featured on the cover of Vogue magazine. They all have the nicest athletic wear you will ever lay eyes upon. Do not, I repeat, do not show up in your 2001 Covington Classic 5k t-​shirt with sweat stains. It’s a no go! Ok, last joke I promise.
Most of the girls at the front desk memorize your name & birthday so they say hello to you personally when you walk in the door. They will memorize your name before that face even registers in your memory bank… It’s truly impressive.
I have a favorite person working in the woman’s locker room. her name is Katherine… been there forever. She says she is from Pontchatoula & if Larry is reading this PLEASE give her a raise. She is so wonderful, kind & never stops to catch a break. She works her behind off. Amazing woman!
The general manager Larry is amazing as well. At the member appreciation party he was out bussing tables! What GM would actually do that? Larry would because he cares !

I can’t say enough about how much I love this health club. I can’t call it a gym, because that would be an understatement and an insult to this place. From the moment you walk in, you know you’re somewhere special. All of the staff members are so friendly and helpful. The locker rooms are very nice, and the amenities are plentiful. It’s by far the cleanest health club I’ve ever experienced, and that says a lot because I am a serious fitness fanatic. The only thing that’s tough to swallow is the steep initiation fee, but hey, you get what you pay for, so spend the money and enjoy every minute of your workout at what will surely be your new home away from home!

Two words… Back Facial!

BJ S. hits all of the same points that I would as well. I also think it’s worth mentioning that their tennis courts are the best that I’ve played on. They have 6 clay Hydro Courts, 6 world class hardcourts, a half court with a wall, USTA leagues, clinics, and a rock star staff. The pools are saltwater and the Olympic lap pool is heated too. The child care services are first rate and clean clean clean! Plus you never have to fight to reserve a spot for your kids to go to Pebble Creek (the child care area). The grill on site has really good food too. Not all is healthy, you can torpedo your workout if you so desire. It really has it all and as a former member of Franco’s I can say there is no comparison… Stone Creek is the best.

Okays all around! So far the best health club I’ve ever been to! In the Covington/​Mandeville area, I have been a member of the two major gyms. (Francos and The PAC) Hands down, the Stone Creek is A-​Maze-​INNNG! It’s Huge! There is ample parking during the peak 4 – 7 gym time and not a machine in the house is there a wait for! Plenty of cardio equipment as well. I know it is quite pricey with membership of greater than 100 a month. The amenities justify it though! A full service spa and Physical therapy outfit are located inside the gym. There class schedule ranges from the typical spin and body pump classes to ballet! Who’da thunk??? You’re even provided with lockers with programmable locks so that you don’t have to carry around the lock you used for your high school locker! Who remembers there code anyway??? (ok, some of us do, but that’s cuz we’re freaks!) It gets better… chilled towels! Yes! I said chilled! Who knew?! The locker room is equipped with single stall showers and tons of privacy doors as well as an array of shaving tools and deodorants. Hands down, 5 stars! The price is a turn off I’m sure, which means that membership is kept to the established, older crowd and those serious about working out and their spa experiences.
