PJs = Perfect Java. I love it. I really do. And I wish they had a location in San Antonio. Alas, PJs is only a Louisiana thing. *le sigh* On a recent road trip, my compadres and I Unilocaled up some local coffee establishments off I-10 and PJs kept coming up. I read a couple of reviews and the consensus was to give ‘em a try. When we walked in, the employees greeted us immediately and asked us if we were looking for anything in particular. There were plenty of choices but tbh, it didn’t feel like information overload. The menu did have a seperate hot and cold section so when I see it broken down at least in those categories, I can pretty much go from there. I went with a mocha latte and a ham, cheese, and egg croissant. It was perfect for an early morning middle-of-a-road-trip stopover. The latte had just enough Ghirardelli cocoa but not enough to overpower it and make it taste like a straight up cup of cocoa. The prices??? .goodness, the prices. Stunning! I couldn’t believe the price for a large mocha latte — was about 3 bucks if memory serves. SO much better than Starsux given the overall value of service and product!!!
