Very filthy store. Always hard to find shopping carts. A lot of food is expired. I once bought a can of corn there that was expired. I thought that stuff had a 5 year shelf life. I have also unfortunately brought home already opened spinach dip, parmesan cheese that someone stuck their fingers through the safety seal, and expired bread. So be sure to check safety seals and expiration dates. Oh and the front room as you walk in might as well be a mud pit. Maybe they could clean the carts as well? Yesterday the cashier ringing me out was eating a pop tart while scanning my items. Keep it classy Covington…

I used to work here part time, do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere or make the 2 mile trip to Newport Pavillion. I’ve seen all out brawls in front of the pharmacy, been threatened with physical violence for being out of fried chicken, drug use/dealing in the parking lot is rampant, and the store itself is filthy(the deli particularly, the slicer is rarely cleaned and the walls smell of rot) and the store has little to no variety(most of their stock winds up shoved down someone’s pants and walked out the door anyway). Like I said, shop elsewhere and do not even think of working there.

Fondly referred to as «kroghetto» for it’s location, it’s selection is what earns it two stars. This is probably the smallest Kroger I’ve ever been to. They have the basics but if you need variety, go to the newport kroger.

This place is seriously outdated and needs a makeover! The staff members are always nice. The parking lot needs a cart wrangler. Again the bathrooms are gross but not as bad as the Latonia Kroger. The crack building next to it isn’t good for the business. I’m afraid to go there because you have a bunch of drug trafficking.

This store is a festering wound on the face of basic commerce. Nothing in this store seems to be taken seriously. Kroger seems to have forgotten that this store even exists. There is nothing but constant trouble at this store, the staff is AWFUL(managers yelling at employees right out in the open while the store is packed… and I do mean yelling), the store is disgusting. and the selection is abysmal. The pharmacy can’t tell their right hand from their left, the majority of the other departments are equally as inept, and most of the shelf space is baron. There honestly is not one halfway kind thing I can think of to say about this store.

Kroger’s should be ashamed of this store and how it impacts their brand. It is disgusting and there isn’t one good thing about it. Even though many of the shoppers are low income, they pay the same amount for groceries as do people in Hyde Park or Ft. Mitchell. Krogers – clean up this store, buy some new carts, include more wholesome and healthy food, and treat the people of Covington with more respect!

Decent grocery store. It will have all the necessities, but not a lot of variety. My fiancée and I stop here to pick up general things(e.g., trash bags, cereal). For a wider selection, we head to the Kroger in Fort Mitchell to do our weekly shopping.

While this Kroger does have the«Kroghetto» aura, it still hits the spot when one needs to stock up on some groceries. I was helped by a friendly worker in my quest for Agave Nectar(yeah, I don’t really know what it is either except sugary syrup I guess). The selection is nowhere near the depth of the larger mega Krogers that have sprung up recently, but there are times when I don’t want to have to walk down ¼ mile aisles. This Kroger allows me to get in and out in record time. I found some good deals on Luna and Clif* bars too! Cool. There is a Redbox DVD/Blu Ray box outside the front door. In the far right back corner there is a discount section. And lastly, when I was there, a cop was on duty near the front, which was probably not necessary(at least I hope), but who knows… Their alcohol selection is well stocked in the 40oz variety ;) and also has a giant poster warning about drinking while pregnant. Interesting and sad. Anyways, their bakery had lots of yummy looking sweets and the checkout worker was friendly and fast. *check out the story behind the creation of these bars: Also, if you find yourself in the Napa/St. Helena region, check out the Clif Winery:
