Great place and great people, but you’re giving so much money to lowes after 6pm… I get off my day job at 6, and therefore drive extra miles because I have to. I’d rather support you but you really need to stay open until 7 at least…

I was in the middle of a project and just had to have a special type of anchor… unfortunately it was in the middle of a snowstorm. Just didn’t feel safe driving all the way to the Home Depot 20 minutes away. So I Unilocaled it! And came upon this hidden gem just a 5 minute drive from my house.
As soon as I walked in, I was taken in by one of the employees as one of those idiots that needed some hands-​on help. I was helped through every step of my project and the employee (whose name I really wish I had gotten) patiently waited when I had to make the inevitable call home for more info.
I am so glad places like this still exist in this world– where service and the customer is king. You may pay a little more and they may not have the selection of a big box store… But maybe that isn’t what you really want in a hardware store.

This is my «go-​to» hardware store. Locally owned and very helpful. They have most everything I need for whatever DIY project I am doing.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. Prices are very reasonable!
I can’t recommend Klingenberg’s enough!

My family has been coming here for years. In fact, I have memories of coming here with my dad. This is a great store with nice, helpful people. There is so much packed in this place, you’ll find about anything… And usually everything you’ll need.

Amazing, this store. Family run, full of everything you never knew you needed. I went in on a lunch hour and came out with a clothesline. I was grateful to the family for taking over this location after a VERY old family run hardware went out of business.
Klingenburgs is a local gem – perfect for neighborhood dwellers who don’t want to drive to Buttermilk Pike or to Alexandria to the nearest Lowes or Home Depot; but also perfect because they care. I’ve never gone in without someone acknowledging me and I’m completely amazed by the amount of goods they carry – including pet supplies and farm fencing options.

You could save the world with the products offered at Klingenberg’s. They have a little bit of everything and a very knowledgeable staff. No need to go to the big box stores of Lowes and Home Depot, these guys will help you with almost every step of the project. The only thing they don’t have is Wood, but you can always go to Kelly Bros.

A good hardware store. They usually have everything I am looking for. I got a perfect yellow level there for 5 bucks. The people there are always helpful. A really good alternative to the Home Depot variety of hardware store. A small store relatively, but they seem to have everything but lumber.
